Thanks a lot for the positive feedback. First of all, the 340i is xdrive, so traction with summer tyres after warming up on a 9 degree celsius day was impressive. The mods done to the car are as follows: - no extra weight reduction. Pure 800 turbos downpipe catless HPFP dorch 2 air filter Meth injection custom 100RON tune by f80paul 580 whp, measured at 1850kgs That is all! Very well executed vehicle!
It is an amazing car, but it is xdrive, not RWD! You can actually check it in the channel. there is a review of the 340 there. well, the owner had some additional goodies since then, but you will get the idea of the build.

The 340i with upgrades like bigger turbos, new TCU/ gearbox overhaul , exhaust upgrades to ensure it runs 10 second 1/4 mile races?

M5 far better in every way bone stock whether 340i tuned to max or not. Tuning always seems like a good idea until consecutive repairs and engine blows from operating above factory specs
The thing I love about my 340i is that I can outrun most of the little 20-something ding-dongs then “turn off” the performance stuff and drive my mom around in a nice sedan.
Great video. However, you must understand that winter tires really hamper the performance of the M5, that’s why the trap speed was so low in the quarter mile. Regardless the pure turbo 340 is a monster.
Good point, but actually we have filmed this exact same m5 on the exact same spot in the summer and 1/4 mile and 100-200 kph results are pretty much the same, because when heat comes in the high temp then hampers the performance. Thanks a lot for watching and I am glad you liked it! 😊
The 340i is rocking fbo which consist of intake Downpipe Tu pump Csf heat exchanger And most likely an e50 gas mix Thoe exact mods on bm3 stage 2+ will make 480 whp which is 576hp to the crank
A tune is a must for the 440i. I got a 440i and utterly hated how sluggish it was stock compared to my old m235. I added on the MPPSK and it came alive, not bad for a factory tune w/ a warranty (getting 365ish whp / wtq). Lets also not forget the sound... B58 sounds amazing with a good exhaust.

I Love M so much.. I would take an M5 for sure. Especially as CS or F10 as Competition. V8 is my Engine plus the extra stiff Suspension and sharper steering and so on. So Perfect for me this Cart. But for the Coupé my Dream Car is the M4 F82.. This one is so Beautiful.. That wide thick Back and Hips 😍😍😍😍😍😍❤️❤️ And then with wide Track spacers and 22 Inch concave wheels with very wide Tyres. Heaven to me.
B58 = The new & improved 2jz on the block! So easy & cheap to go fast with the B58 platform... with just Downpipe, hpfp, & a tune & you almost 500 whp on stock turbo, or even 500whp if on a custom E50 map
The weight difference from a F10 M5 to a F30 N55 335i or B58 340i (stock at least) is approx 500-550 lbs give or take an option pack or 2.. That's like 50hp from weight difference with the old 10lb = 1hp measurement (which is a rough guide at best). Having owned both cars - I think the F30 is more fun on the road and track. With a FBO and tune package, it becomes a giant slayer (Slapping in that Pure Turbo is like Icing on top of Icing, on a premo cake - damn tasty). The 5 series platform is just a bit too plump for my likings after giving it a bang for a bit.
How did the M5 get sun 11second 1/4mi time. What octane of fuel did it have? I'm just surprised I thought it be 11 flat. The M5CS gets 10.7. And Sub 3 second 0-100kmp is very impressive, means 0-60 would be even faster. Normally guys would get it with stage 2 M5 this fast

Huge fan of the f30 340 great car- had one as a loaner and made me 2011 335 feel slow- race is not really good comparison with the tunes and mods should of done it with two stock cars The 340 has upgraded pure turbo I mean it’s rediculous can’t count that as a reg 340
You should mention that the M3 is xDrive, bcuz I was wondering how it was matching an M5 at launch. Before watching this I said there's no amount of tuning you can do to make a RWD M3 beat an M5 from zero, then I see in the comments that it's an xDrive. I'm like... Now it makes sense.
@@CarswithPilotTseno it would not be chasing a 1000hp... it would bend the rods before it went anything over 780hp. The M5 has weak rods and you will bend them well before you reach a 1000hp... if you want a 1000hp you would need a built motor with forged rods and pistons...
@@bluecar786 Funny fact, the N54 can handle 1000whp on stock internals where the M5 can't even handle 750hp, I've seen a remapped M5 F90 have the engine destroyed due to the rods

Sadly we don’t have any race tracks suitable for such events in Bulgaria and we have to travel to neighbour countries in order to do this. This is pretty much impossible now with the pandemic restrictions imposed for travel in Europe...
Ok, drag result of the 340i are awsome but it is good car as a daily? I rember that my friend had e90 with N54 (I'm not sure). This car was fast too, but 1000 km without problems was mission impossible . This m5 can do 100k km without bigger problems (If someone doesn't change oil after 30k km of course). Can someone use tuned 330i like this on the movie and use it like a normal daily. I mean drive 10000 km without thinking about it will fail or not when I drive for example 200 km?
Lol - they keep on swapping which of the two identically coloured vehicles are on the left or right each time - this is crazy - also feel like the M5 (I assume) let off the clutch in the seoncd race - not sure what the 3rd car is supposed be now.. this is confusing - use different colour s - there's not way the m5 wins my such a margin then loses the next time - and why are there cars that pass immediately before those that are racing when watching the finish line - the camea guys? what were thy driving? what what ?? ahah!
And then the 340 tuned won the second race despite that being M5s fastest 0-100 run in under 3 seconds which would've kept pace with a GT4 almost - definitely he eased up on the accelator - purposefully to make it more intersted. its rigged. not buying this sorry mate ahoy!

That 340i creeping had my jaw dropped
The Tuned 340i seems to have an advantage power to weight wise. However it seems the DCT is considerably faster than the ZF slushbox.
They both have an 8spd ZF gearboxes.
@@CarswithPilotTseno Oh i forgot. But the M5 gearbox seems to shift a lot quicker. You can see the gap growing whenever the M340i shifts.

Huge fan of the f30 340 great car- had one as a loaner and made me 2011 335 feel slow- race is not really good comparison with the tunes and mods should of done it with two stock cars

You should mention that the M3 is xDrive, bcuz I was wondering how it was matching an M5 at launch. Before watching this I said there's no amount of tuning you can do to make a RWD M3 beat an M5 from zero, then I see in the comments that it's an xDrive. I'm like... Now it makes sense.

That 340 should be given a little more time to build boost on launch due to it being larger turbo it needs more time to fully spoil.

The M5's engine would bend a rod! Lol the S63 engine is weak and has paper rods! It's really disappointing that BMW put weak rods in the M5!
@@CarswithPilotTseno it would not be chasing a 1000hp... it would bend the rods before it went anything over 780hp. The M5 has weak rods and you will bend them well before you reach a 1000hp... if you want a 1000hp you would need a built motor with forged rods and pistons...
@@bluecar786 Funny fact, the N54 can handle 1000whp on stock internals where the M5 can't even handle 750hp, I've seen a remapped M5 F90 have the engine destroyed due to the rods

Sadly we don’t have any race tracks suitable for such events in Bulgaria and we have to travel to neighbour countries in order to do this. This is pretty much impossible now with the pandemic restrictions imposed for travel in Europe...

Ok, drag result of the 340i are awsome but it is good car as a daily? I rember that my friend had e90 with N54 (I'm not sure). This car was fast too, but 1000 km without problems was mission impossible . This m5 can do 100k km without bigger problems (If someone doesn't change oil after 30k km of course). Can someone use tuned 330i like this on the movie and use it like a normal daily. I mean drive 10000 km without thinking about it will fail or not when I drive for example 200 km?

Lol - they keep on swapping which of the two identically coloured vehicles are on the left or right each time - this is crazy - also feel like the M5 (I assume) let off the clutch in the seoncd race - not sure what the 3rd car is supposed be now.. this is confusing - use different colour s - there's not way the m5 wins my such a margin then loses the next time - and why are there cars that pass immediately before those that are racing when watching the finish line - the camea guys? what were thy driving? what what ?? ahah!
And then the 340 tuned won the second race despite that being M5s fastest 0-100 run in under 3 seconds which would've kept pace with a GT4 almost - definitely he eased up on the accelator - purposefully to make it more intersted. its rigged. not buying this sorry mate ahoy!

Why is the first gear in the 340i so long? Or did it start in second gear? If i would only listen to the sound of it without watching the video, it sounds like the first gear takes the car to like 100mph
It’s second gear what you hear! To make it easy on the gearbox
