Nice video! My 9710,911, and9012 all helped with an 200 loop. Purchased 9710 for better F.M. but still not very selective on F.M though great on A.M. with loop.

I like it. ..I like the intro too, sounds like a stereo version of some of those weird sounds you hear on shortwave

Thank you for the helpful review, would like to see how well it performs with some of the smaller digital radios like the Tecsun pl 606 or the Tecsun pl 380.

Interesting. I have a Tecsun AN-200 antenna but I haven't played with it very much. I also happen to have a Tecsun R9710 radio. I guess it's true that great minds do think alike! 😁
Anyway, this video has inspired me to use the AN-200 more often and see what I can pick up with it. I think I'll try it with my PL-880 and my ATS-909X. The 909X happens to have an external antenna jack that also works with an AM antenna. That should be fun to try out.
Thanks for the video! Cheers! Bob 👍 😎

Your Welcome Bob, I tried it with my 880 and I noticed a slight increase in the s/n ratio..it is not as impressive as it is on a smaller analog radio. I tried my loop with a deaf/quiet Realistic radio..holy cow did it wake up! I think the 880 might work well with an intermediate ferrite bar, then a loop...possibly a larger loop is needed for some of these larger radios.

The loop makes a huge difference. You can even build your own if so inclined. I may look into plans for one, and give it a go.

The loop antennas are really fun. I use my loop antenna to listen to Theater of The Mind.

Awesome! That can really help, I need it. Now I'm really into recording Theatre of the Mind, and I use one of my WiFi radios for that duty. Still neat to listen to it "live" on the airwaves ;)

What extra benefit would I gain by the use of a loop 🔂 ? I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ how much a loop 🔂 costs. Does it pull in the DX stations 🚉 better? I also don’t know if the loop 🔂 plugs 🔌 into the radio 📻. Your friend, Jeff.

A decent shortwave set, but the RF dynamic range of the SW band is not good.
