Those "BAAM"s were personal
😂😂😂
Yesss they traveled through to my soul
I want this sfx for my soundcard, its perfect for meme and play with friend lol
Man, something so cool about seeing in depth C4D/Octane workflows from a million+ subscriber channel. Great stuff
Leave it to Clint to take Lego to the next level! The final composite is such a unique look!
I'm colour blind too and have been an online/finishing editor for 10+ years. I've NEVER even CONSIDERED channel-based compositing to get a better colour match, that's so brilliant. Honestly the best compositing advice I've had all year, thank you so much!!
BAM! Who knew building legos in 3D would be twice as fun! Thanks for the tutorial Clint! And also I’m glad you mentioned that trick about rotoscoping, that’ll save me some time 🤣
Gotchu my guy :)
Cant wait for new challenge!
As someone who makes 3D Lego models and films videos I never thought to combine the too. Awesome idea and awesome execution Clint!
Those "BAAMs" scaried the shit out of me! 😂
I've found that when on vacation, looking around with intention of using photos (textures) or videos makes the vacation more fun. You pay more attention to the details when you're looking to *use* what you're looking at.
Great Video! Clint you should do a vid on you trying blender with possibly Peter as a mentor
Hah that would be fun :)
Legos are my jam gotta bring this into Unreal or Fortnite! You know Lego and Epic Game formed a partnership last year right
That's amazing! I was literally just watching tutorials on how to make VFX lego animations! and I saw this!!
just watched the full video, thank you for making these, LOVE IT!
I cannot thank you enough. I had no clue there was a way to get lego models into blender and UE5. I got it working, and it unlocks so many possibilities!
I love Octane!
Thank you clint for this tut
Omg I learned so much from this vid! The rotoing trick is genius why didn’t I think of that!
Really looking forward to seeing the whole thing!
and BAM!!!
dude i love your videos so much!! they help whenever i'm stuck on a music video and makes stuff that I've been overcomplicating with my methods wayyy simpler. just wanted to say thanks for the content and keep it up
Heck yeah! Im glad you’re enjoying them :)
Thank you pwn, this was amazing all around.
Travel + art is always a perfect mix!
Wow! This is so cool! Paul, the custom build instructions are a nice touch!
Thanks CJN 😊
i like that bamm!! sound.
Really awesome video. I love how this is very interesting for all 3D users
I appreciate you king, got me inspired to make stuff!
random question I noticed you started using brick link when I made a blender tutorial on it, did you see it? If so I'm honoured🏆
Oh you mean his livestream he did on lego yh he prob did!
dont get excited mate he prob doesnt see your low viewed content lmao
it doesnt matter evene if he did loooooool
Why you lot roasting me so hard ☠
I did not but that’s cool you’re using it too. It’s such a program.
I like the type of content you make!keep the good work going
So hyped for the next challenge
2 great things together
love it!!!
Thanks for the intro gonna go try it now
Trust Clint to always make the most premium videos - thank you brother!
I really gotta wait a little longer. I keep thinking would great if…. Then the next subject covers what I was thinking. Amazing job as alwasy
awesome stuff!
Suddenly I feel like a kid again! We need the more LEGO landmarks in real time. Great tut and thanks for the roto tip. Seems like a huge time saver
Clint that colour matching tip is fantastic, as someone else who is colourblind, matching can be real hard. This is an awesome piece of advice.
As someone who has done stuff with Blender, LEGO in the real world, and Mecabricks (my preference over Studio), this is great. I've always thought about doing something like this, but never actually did it.
Also highly recommend Mecabricks to anyone finding Studio a bit more daunting. It's browser based and you can export models from it too to use in other software. Personally I find it nicer and easier to use than Studio, but your results may vary.
As a bit of a note on the LEGO side of things, it's best to take a similar path as you would with pixel art. Find the smallest detail you want to be clearly visible, be it a flower, a window, etc., and start building from there. I'd also say to add in some printed pieces here and there for that extra little flair. LEGO has a wide range of printed parts, but for times where you need to make your own, you can easily do that with Photoshop or your choice of similar software. Mecabricks has a built-in section for that on the website, so feel free to use that. I personally think the the flowers in the sumo shot could have worked a bit nicer as printing on a 1x1 or 2x2 (depending on scale) round tile, but to each their own. That's the joy of LEGO.
Just need some copy paste here and there aaaand done : AWESOME!!
I love Lego and video making, and haven’t had inspiration for a while, May try this out 👀
my ears are bammed out.
💖 Legos and Japan, can't wait to see the final result
man i wish yall c4d users had mecabricks its so handy
I don't know the slightest thing about Blender, but this has some serious "mildlysatisfying" energy
Amazing workflow! Though I do different work, I took a lot from this! Much appreciated!
BAM
hey bud, long time no see! missed watching your streams, life has been pretty challenging lately but I"ll get through it. Love your videos, keep creatin' and keep crushin it! Big love my dude! Have a great week!
Lego VFX?? Le(ts)-gooooooooooooo
Soo underrated 😢 you are cool 😎
Mecabricks has a Blender add-on so if you want to keep it all free.
Holy crap. Brick link keeps blowing my mind.
U MUST KNOW WHAT I LOVE U
Yay, I missed the live action stuff
LMAO i love the casual "BHAAAMS" in between. Alll in all a great relaxing video to watch
WHO ARE ALL WAITING FOR SUMMER CHALLENGE?👍
Non gmo textures 😂 great video can’t wait for the final product!
Keep in mind that if you're using footage from a phone that uses electronic stabilization, the tracking sometimes doesn't work as it should because every once in a while a blurry frame or two appears
Yeah, gotta disable the stabilization. Learned this after a LOT of failed attempts at tracking.
Great video Clint. Can’t wait to bend my brain and have a go. My bad, I should have given you a heads-up about the Lego/Legos issue 😂
Eh all good 🤙🏼 just happy to be workin’ with ya Paul!
Learn something new everyday! Had no idea you could Alt drag footage in AE to replace the footage reference, I was always re-exporting with same file name, then right clicking on the layer I wanted to replace, "replace file" then selected file. ALT DRAG IS GAME CHANGER LOL
BAAAMMM!!!!
0:29 was that focus intentional or just happened randomly. it really matched your dialogue in a unique way.
My man just dropped the biggest bomb that he's colorblind like it's noting. He's creates these amazing piece of art even though he is color blind. Amazing 🤯
great video, one thing you mentioned was grading and matching the colours of the individual colour channels, what exactly are you looking at to match the colours? is is the histogram or are you looking at the frame and matching it there
technically mocha isn't 2d tracking, but instead Planer Tracking which is a totally separate thing
This is a fun way for VFX. Just legos and real world stuff look awesome together. Almost like, it's a new trend of Cgi, combining two different types of CGi like Spider Verse and Tom and Jerry
Is there a way to round the edges using blender without having to add a bevel modifier for every single Lego piece?
Blender has "perspective plotter" an addon
I wonder how easily these break apart in a sim :)
track Matte level up!
I feel like he had a bet with someone to see how many times he could say BAM
not showing how to do this in blender and yelling 'BAM!' multiple times in my headphones i can overlook (this time)....but saying 'legoS'..... ;) i did learn about a lego book i didn't know about and paul's channel so thanks for that :)
For object removal at the 15 minute mark, its better to use AI brush tools like Dalle 2, Generative Fill, various websites online and whatever honestly to remove the original object.
bro really has something against me 😭
all the challenges right before my term examinations
Can you generate a reference layer in Photoshop using the new AI generative fill instead?
Totally!
Wait does Clint live in Japan now?
You explain more ablut the lego built progress, than in the linked vid from Paul 😅
What can I say, that’s why Clint has 900x my subs 😂. I wasn’t asked to do a step by step guide, but I will for some of the future builds Clint needs.
as far as i know blender can import .dae files and they even pack textures
1st BAAM I spilt my coffee
2nd BAAM My heart skipped a beat
3rd BAAM I went thru a milisecond astral projection
have you played around with generative fill yet?
I have a liiiiiitle bit yeah. It’s pretty cool.
I noticed that the the topology of the imported legos is pretty bad. Did you end up fixing all the topo after importing from bricklink or did you just move forward with texturing, lighting, etc.?
Oh, my guy did not just say "LEGOs"!! The AFOL community is gonna lose their minds!
To me it sounds like saying the grammatically correct “persons” vs person. It just sound weird to say the singular version. Idk thats just me tho
and BAAM
oh nooo, july 29 ;-; im on vacation for 3 weeks in august
My Colors keep dissapearing in the file converter - can someone please help
BAAAM
mecabricks is also great
gahh.. I know I'm an ass for saying it, but there's no S in Lego. This is beautiful tho. Love the scale.
I really didn’t understand how the colour matching part worked at all, I would appreciate a better explanation of what values in the frame you’re matching to. Also you skipped mentioning the mosaic effect in the iPhone footage part
Here’s a dedicated video to the technique: czcams.com/video/pyuk7luRbhM/video.html&feature=sharea
Waiting for prompt announcment today
BÄM!
7,50 $
the 50% off thing is not working.... on gumroad
Hmm really? You should be able to use the code 50OFF at checkout. Ot worked for me just not.
:)
Lego*
None gmo textures 😂
I made a video about brick link 2 years ago. I also taught everyone how to quickly get your model into blender. My tutorial is much better than this one
Amazing video! It would be amazing if you checked out LegoMe_TheOG who made the LEGO scenes in Across the Spider-Verse and has been doing a tonne of amazing stuff since, like recreating other scenes from the film or previz/test footage
