Very useful. I flushed my heater matrix using this method and it works fine now. The peugeot dealer quoted me £360 to replace it when all it needed was flushing!!
thanks for the feedback glad it helped like and subscribe Tony from akautos
thanks a mil for this. my peugeot was giving out no heat at all but after doing this the heating is working perfect. saved me a lot of time and money. thanks
Glad it helped you out I've done this on quite a few of them now seems to work well you may need to do it once a season though seems to last a while then i just do it again.
Will give this a try, wife works for a main dealer, they wanna pop a new matrix in
useful information Anthony thank you my friend :)
Hey man,
thank you for this video, i replaced the thermostat in my Peugeot and did a chemical flush, but the heat still wasn't working properly until i did your method, and now it's as good as new.
Glad it worked ive sorted loads of cars out this way ive a new air powered flush works even better going to put a new video up soon but glad it helped you out
Nice, if possible i would like to know where to buy the new machine you're using
Sealey VS0044 Coolant System Flush Gun www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B075MJ7GP5/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_CZS217XZEGXAP5FEVG9T
Master blaster I call it will definitely work
Thank for the programme for this issues
My Citroen C4 II wasn't giving hot air anymore apart from a little in the feet section. I tried this and its working great now. hope it last a bit. Thanks a lot :)
Happy days glad it worked for you
Thankyou sir !!!!!
This looks exactly like the problem on my wife’s 308. Only lukewarm here in the cabin but engine temperature and coolant level seems to be stable. Is there a description of how to access this location and attach the hoses? Many thanks.
For some reason there is what is probably rust in my system (308 petrol). Mechanics replaced the radiator, but I am quite sure they could've just flushed it like you did. I flushed the old radiator when I got home, and guess what, it has nice flow and is working. Same old story with mechanics I guess...
Hey leave it out im one of those mechanics in fairness we are not all legends only a few of us make the grade 😇🤣
Mechanic here..everyone likes to bash on mechanics but they don't actually know how to do the job themselves else they wouldn't be paying a mechanic would they. Just because it's flowing OK it DOES NOT mean it is going to be hot inside the cabin.
Educate yourself rather than bashing on others & thinking you know best
I just did this job today & the matrix flows lovely but inside is cold. Needs a new matrix.
Great video. One thing... when you take off the 2 heater matrix hoses will you lose much coolant from the hoses?
You lose a wee bit but not too much wee trick is to take the radiator cap off to make sure theres no pressure then put the cap back on will hold a bit of a vacuum you lose less that way but probably a litre or two of concentrated antifreeze would do for topping up your not emptying the whole system. Hope it helps Tony from AK autos like and subscribe.
Looking into this on my mum's 308 but also looked at replacement if necessary. Seeing as how simple it is to remove the matrix would this be easier to remove matrix then flush outside of car then just refit ??
No big enough job to replace matrix if you stripped it that far i would advise replacing it with a new unit would be the long term fix this will work but you may need to re do it from time to time maybe every few years but its not a big job in comparison to the matrix replacement. Tony from AK Autos
I tried this and it seemed to flow but it didnt fix it..ended up buying a new matrix and problem solved
Is it a specific hose or converter to attach the hose to the matrix?? Thanks for the video 😁
No I just used a garden hose with the nozzle off it should squeeze in perfect
Great video. Would there be any videos showing location of the heater matrix for Peugeot 3008 please?
No not yet but it wont be far away from this one is it petrol or diesel?
@AK Autos Thanks lots for replying. It is 3008 diesel 2.0 HDI, 2012 LHD. The coolant level drops occasionally. I did a thorough visual check inside the engine compartment and did not find any leaks. Hovewer, I noticed some red drop trace underneath the car below the driver seat.
After watching your video it made me think the heater matrix may be somewhere close to where you showed it. Any thoughts, tips would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Hi I have flushed the matrix as per your video re connected everything turned engine on topped up coolant and bled from top bleeding screw on elbow connector and pipes are hot on connections however heater not blowing hot air. Any over tips? Do I need to bleed from other bleeding screw? If so where will I find it? Should I take car for a good drive? Thank you 👍👍
Maybe the vents in the airbox not moving can you hear them move when you move from cold to hot the flaps can fail or it may require a new matrix i bought a power adaptor from amazon to help boost the pressure but it requires an airline to boost water pressure from the hose when flushing the matrix
Do you have to remove the battery to access? Or can you work around it?
No Dean the battery can stay in place just need the air box out of the road
How did you get the tubes off mine has a little metal clip I pushed it to one side but couldn't get them off
if it has a metal clip pull it off then the pipe should come off thanks for watching Tony from AK Autos like and subscribe
Sorry new here. To get to this point, what needs removing from the engine bay? I'd like to try this one first before I go and spend money on parts and potentially a garage bill...
The inlet pipes and the air filter housing needs removed then the heater hoses to gain access they are very easily removed sorry I didn't add this to the video Tony from AK autos like and subscribe
AK Autos Thanks, once the wind dies down I’ll give it a go....
How did you disconnect the pipes from the firewall?
clip comes off the pipe if you can't get it take the two hoses off at the thermostat housing and seal them onto your hose and flush from there
Hi,i flush the matrix but still not heat inside and one of the hose not the top one the bottom one is not hot. What i can check ?Is like a control module witch let the hot water inside the matrix?
No the flow should be controlled by heating of the engine and water pump circulation it must be blocked solid. Can you hear the flaps moving when you move from hot to cold inside the car. Both those hoses should be warm if it is circulating you may need to replace heater matrix or use a quality coolant flush
how did you put the hoses back in??
Thnx
They just push back in and clip into place you will here a nice clip as they go on you can put some silicone spray or wd40 on them just to help but not too much
Hi how did you bleed the system. Just by removing the cap until coolant came through.
that screw cap on the heater hose to the left will need left off until coolant comes out then just top up and run keep an eye on it the engine bleeds itself on the petrols
cheers for watching Tony from AK Autos like and subscribe
Cheers. I'm just flushing mine now as it's the cheapest option first
it worked for me as I say heat was terrible before alot better after
does it also work on the 508 2.0D, I have a little heat on the left side?
Yes work on any car to be honest similar set up just find the pipes and your gd to go always in the same place on peugeots
If its only one side thats cold could be the dual control vents they give problems in the peugeot they have a motor for left and right these can fail and the vents stay in cold position so no heat from one side might need a computer to check or look up that on you tube Sorry I have no videos on it yet if I get one i'll add it
Hi there what year was your car?
Willemajor Williemajor 2008 but that would work for any of them to be honest
hi
am having problem with my peugeot 308 NO HEAT how do i get access to flush the matrix..
Need to remove the airbox few torx screws then pops up move it to side then get to hoses
Where is the matrix located?
Vincent Jamieson it's on the left hand side behind the battery under the windscreen
Anthony Killen a lot of people are saying its in the car on the passenger side on other vids. Thanks
are you looking to replace it or flush it the pipework is under the bonnet the heater matrix body itself is inside the dash you can see it if u look in the passenger side football have a feel for warm pipe work
Sorry footwell
Anthony Killen looking to give it a flush first. Thanks video was helpful
My 308 heater stop working for a week then my radiator hoses pop had to drive 10 minutes with out coolant she was a hot engine Hope No Damage
Exact same thing happened to me couple of days ago, broken clips on hoses. Did you manage to fix your issue and what was the cause?
Hope you got it sorted you need to make sure those hoses are definitely clipped on these are hoses under pressure
@@tonyakautos yeah got replacement hoses and put steel clips on them, they're not moving now
