This movie (like many Marvel movies) sounds like it's doing too much and not enough at the same time
You both try so hard to explain the reasons behind the superhero movies and I feel so bad considering your expertise and cinematic perspective on actual films. The superhero genre is more akin to glorified after school specials.. and damnit Joseph tries too hard making sense out of these fluff pieces of Disney content. Love you both. Love all your videos, podcasts, and live streams.

I might have to bear watching this to see my husband Park Seo-jun, he's gorgeous, my favourite Korean actor! It's unfortunate that this movie isn't good, I want to support these ladies but idk what these filmmakers are thinking..

Do you like super hero movies? Fish Jelly gives great reviews but it's pretty obvious they are not huge fans of super hero films. So if you are a fan of Marvel this is probably not the best place to get reviews for it. While 1 and 1 and half is lower than they usually give, I don't think I've ever seen them give a super hero flick more than a 3. It's usually a 2 or 2 and a half. I find Fish Jelly gives the best reviews for arthouse films.
I'm going to see this in 15 minutes so I have to watch the video later. No spoilers today.🤣

Grammer played the original live action version so I was so excited to see him again (first time he played him since 2014). I like the Khan family but they really should have never been taken to an ultra secret, dangerous spy installation in space…. Too goofy and they stick out too much. So silly… they should have been a cameo at most. I really enjoyed the action overall but…
She was moving them into her old house 😂 barely makes sense, SHIELD shoulda funded the damn renovations for their NJ house 😭

So we have cats who have bulimia and Sunless people who have a spring in their step and don’t even have low Vitamin D. I enjoy/tolerate most of the Marvel stuff, but this one sounds ridiculous. Lashana Lynch will be in the sequel so that’s the only reason to even consider watching it. I’ll wait for streaming though so I can forward to only her scenes 😂

I believe the movie was released 1-2 weeks ago. I just found out that numerous other "well-knowns" do significant voicework: Chevy Chase, Freddy Prince Jr, Michael Rappaport, and even Billy Ray Cyrus!!! (No Miley sightings however)

They mentioned it in the movie, but they switch when they use their powers at the same time. I don't know how the sun depleted, but the civil war is what caused that, their drought and their poor air (that must've been some civil war).
You're not wrong about the lack of humor. The only time the audience laughed is when the son was being slick with the remote control.
Also, Carol's husband is HOT! (He had me wondering about my sexuality.)
My favorite part is the scenes with the kittens. I like Dar-ben(?), as a villian better than Thanos. She was a spiteful, revenge-seeking thief, and I love that. I think she needed both bands to create a jump-point big enough for earth's sun to go through. But, you're right: You had 30 years to enact revenge so why now? Maybe finding that bracelet took long as hell.
You were talking about cut corners, but that's what happens when you're just making a movie to promote the next movie.
I'm not a Marvel person (or a movie person in general), but I like the movies when I see them. I take 'em for what they are, though - pure silly, time-killing entertainment (that's for making money). I get tickets for free, though. I wouldn't pay for any of the movies.

Didn't realize that. Thanks for updating me. Regardless, since Disney plus came out, Marvel and Starwars content (with the exception of maybe season one of Mandalorian) has really suffered. It can be extremely irritating sometimes.

Im seeing this tommorow. Nick giving this a 1 has me really scared. I know you guys are honest reviewers and aren't motivated by any kind of bias so when you say a movie is bad it. usually is.

@@radicalcentrist1242 Yes. Unfortunately there are a lot of "film critics" today who inject their personal politics into their reviews but I know fish jelly doesn't do that. When they say a movie is bad it's not because a character said something they disagreed with politically.

INFINITY WAR
then dropped the ball at END GAME but still END GAME should have been THE END GAME for the MCU.
Superman has been hanging out with the Justice League for decades and no one complains about him needing help. Accept the make-believe.
