I feel like who ever wrote this list forgot that normal people can start work at 6/7am and that getting up 3 to 4 hours early for those times is literally ridiculous. I feel like sleeping and resting is actually more productive than being awake but barely able to function because you’re so tired.
I leave my house at 7 for school and I don’t get back till late and have homework etc, I manage to work out in the morning but only give myself 2 hours
There's no need to wake up 3-4 hours before work. I mean you could fit a workout, breakfast and shower easily in 2 hrs. Why be miserable and sleep deprived, just so you can sit and be awake early? 🤯
Hey, you've achieved breakfast, who says you don't have your life together? You could have egg on toast for lunch and porridge with fruit salad for tea. Hey presto, heathy day done. Fit it in when it suits you. Chocolate pudding for breakfast? Classy!
This was super interesting and way more realistic than the really 'aesthetic' lifestyle youtubers who act like it's all totally normal! And you acknowledged that a lot of people work early and can't be really flexible. One of my resolutions for 2020 is to establish a proper, good, positive morning routine, and this has been super helpful :)
it's so funny when now well-known youtubers used free music in the beginning so now whenever you hear it somewhere else it's just confusing 😂(another example would be jenna julien podcast)

Thank you for mentioning that you have to go to bed early, I have trained myself over the course of a year )by moving my wake up and bed time 10 minutes every two weeks) to start getting up early. It really takes time, and since you are not used to it 7 days is not enough to change your circadian rhythm. Also these challenges can rearranged, do you can start by getting up 2 hours before your day starts, since you don’t need the other 2 hours for major workout and ect.
I just plain enjoy watching you, Grace. You are such an inspiration to any young person out there, that you can be wholesome, positive, and love being with your family. Keep being you.

When you wake up early and do something it’s amazing. It sucks at first but when I played basketball we had early morning practice which sucked until it was over and you realized how much you accomplished
I would highly recommend buddhify the app, it's excellent and has really helped me focus in on my own feelings and wellbeing. it's sort of a gentle introduction into mindfulness and that... also your little workout sesh warmed my heart!💛

Tip to de-ice your car quicker. If you have any food bags or anything like that...fill it with warm water from the tap, seal it up and wipe over the windshield and it will melt the ice so quick.
I love having that time in the morning for myself. I try super hard not to get onto social media the first hour or so in the morning. I drink some water and coffee and read. Although its hard to take that time each morning when I have a long list of todos. Its worth it though!

I work 6am-3pm everyday and I always look forward to when I get home and get to do my yoga, draw a little, etc. Like you said, just setting time aside to do things you enjoy/ move your body/ be creative can REALLY improve overall mental health.
The most productive morning routine is naturally going to look different for everyone. I feel like I've found what works best for me. Here's my routine: 7:00- wake up/ breakfast 8:00- get ready for the day 9:00- time with God (prayer+reading the bible) 10:00- help my family out with cleaning 11:00- play piano/guitar/ukulele And of course it's always changing depending on when I work
i should try this sometime, i barely have any classes so i tend to sleep from 3am to 12pm it’s really the worst. proud of you grace i don’t think i could!
I wake up at 4.45am every week day, train for 1 hour, shower, go up to my horse, muck out and ride him then I'm at work for 8.30am! I love my routine, I'm ready for the working day after achieving my favourite things 😊
This is ironic I found this video today, I have been doing (the last 4-5 days) a morning routine. On my days off, I postpone the workout until later in the day. Days I work, I have to be up by 6 am to leave for work by 6:30 am. I started setting an alarm for 5:15. My morning routine is basically 5-10 minutes of meditation (Tony Robbins), workout (bodyweight exercises), eat breakfast (green tea, scrambled eggs, kimchi, fruit juice). Then I go shower and get ready. It has made a huge difference in my headspace, and how stressed I feel throughout the day and even after work.
The morning workout footage was the most wholesome thing I’ve ever seen. I feel like a better person because of it.

Start with 5-10 minutes of guided meditation and breakfast, then go on from there if you feel inclined to do so.

It depends on your circumstances. No point in waking up at the crack of dawn when you don't have anything to do, or focus on.
