The putty brownie recipe I was talking about haha; www.janespatisserie.com/2019/02/02/slutty-brownies/ honestly really good
That was a good video Grace. Well done 👏
I almost never comment on any video, but just felt like sharing my opinion on decision fatigue. .
I'm a university lecturer and I follow the same rule as Bill Gates where I wear the same outfit (suit) to "work" everyday to avoid decision fatigue before work every morning. Not exactly the same outfit though, I have a few of the same suits, but I wear whatever I want when I get back home and I wear whichever PJs I want. It's not 24 hours kinda challenge. That would be difficult to sustain since you got it stained in the kitchen and with friends, but at work nobody will throw chocolate raisin at you 😉😁 which is a big plus
@@mattyh7614 just noticed 😂😂😂
Thank you for the recipe! After reading your description on this I'm trying to figure out the big deal thing is. Are you cutting your hair?
You should do the opposite of this where you'd wear every item of clothing you own without repeating until you've gone through all your clothes, could be fun.
Steinunn Selma Jónsdóttir that would be cool
Yes!
what happens when i run out of pants and still have shirts? 😨 lol
@@grapemonkies I guess she could go through them again only after she's worn all of them once, while continuing to wear every shirt one. OR she could have one piece of clothing lined up for every day, and then she can just style it how she wants with everything else in her closet
Imagine the amount of editing that would go into this 😭
Grace: stick around to see if anyone noticed
Also Grace: puts “no one even noticed” in the thumbnail 😂
😂
*reads title*
me: ha, I do that
I literally wear the same trousers for a week at a time unless they're dirty like no one points it out or anything
Haha, same. I do that too. wear same outfit for a week (5 days anyways) and just change the underparts (underpieces?), lol. :O)
I find something I like and buy multiples. I just can't be bothered to have to pick stuff out.
I tend to change my outfit every day but wear the same underwear because i like the stank they develop.
i wear the same pants every single day
So we’re just going to brush over the fact Banksy was casually straddling the toilet bowl? 😂
“Uploaded 32 seconds ago”
Me: okay yes
Ok
*Every dude:* How is this a challenge?
I've been a boy and a girl and I've always done this
Here's me going, "I've always done this...." 😶
But
1) I'm cheap and
2) I was a hippie in the day, and we dressed like that: three days of clothes, lots of accessories....
@@k6j460 you're a boy and a girl?
Tronci transgender??? Boy to girl girl to boy? Idk
K 604 been a boy and a girl? How’s that possible
Even if someone were to notice and be "shocked" about it, I wouldn't care to much. I also wear the same outfit multiple times in a row. Clothes usually don't get dirty within a day, so unless it's been really hot outside, I don't so a reason to change them this often. 🤷🏻♀️
Marcia Asturia good on you! We have to also consider the environmental impact of constantly washing clothes that have only been worn once.
Hey Grack! I'm a textile student and recently handed in my dissertation on fast fashion and social media and a lot of the issues that come from the clothes people are buying now is that they don't last long at all. Part of this comes from excessive washing because people are used to the idea that an outfit (generally) is expected to be washed after every wear of it even if the clothes aren't actually dirty or smelly (I'm guilty of doing this myself). Because a lot of the clothes in Primark or wherever are so cheaply made, they fall apart after a few wears. Just something I thought of when you mentioned that you were looking into fast fashion and wanted to do this experiment as a result of it.
On another note, it would be interesting to see you maybe try a capsule wardrobe or maybe like wear the same trousers styled with different tops and stuff. Or a charity shopping video because a lot of what I found in my dissertation research is that a lot of people HATE the idea of charity shops
I *prefer* charity shops. One reason is that you can actually tell before you spend the money if it's a brand that holds up for more than a season.... I now know of several brands I can confidently buy new because I've bought them pre-owned and I know they're worth the money.
@@MelissaThompson432 I love charity and vintage shopping too because I know the items are more likely to be unique and not everyone else would be wearing the same thing as me. However in my study I found that so so many people wear clothes just once and then donate them to charity shops and its those same people who then wouldn't like to shop in charity shops because it's not as convenient as buying online/on the high street even though a lot of the clothes in charity shops are basically brand new and hugely cheaper. That being said it was the people who were less concerned about sustainability and the environment/human impact that thought that way
As an Aussie, for half the year by midday my clothes are absolutely vile from sweat, but I try to shop only at secondhand shops or get clothes from people giving theirs away
It bothers me that people hate charity shops, just because the things are second hand... like so? The people who originally owned it would never in a million years recognise it on somebody else. Idk what other reasons for not liking them are... I'm with you on all your points!
@@beccaalice1514 I found that most people didn't like that they would have to rummage to find something their size or style but i think that's the fun of it. You can spend ages on websites like asos and not see a single thing you like so it's not really that much different in my opinion
Best Dressed did something for Decision fatigue where she had a "capsule suitcase" of a select number of clothes she could wear for the month, it was a pretty good watch and good idea
School uniforms were great lol but I never learnt to make proper outfits until I was like 18.
We didn't have uniforms, but I still haven't learned that. Always end up in a hoodie and jeans tbh. Maybe a sweater if I feel fancy 😂
how to make a proper outfit : wear what you want
messymonster
Me lol, I’m in year 11 and I’m scared for when I leave.
I always wanted school uniforms:(

You don’t. Seriously. They’re uncomfortable, you have to ask to take your jumper/ blazer off. You have a tight tie and uncomfortable shoes like pumps or brogues. They get rid of freedom aswell.
I wore the same dress to church for six months (for "field research" before writing a book about fast fashion). Nobody noticed! And since I had three little people to wrangle Sunday mornings, it was the best!!
I have to dress 4 people in the mornings, myself and my 3 babies. Having less clothes is so much easier. I make sure our clothes are all within the same colour palettes, so they can be worn interchangeably in different outfits and that they will all look good next to each other (that ones just for me). No crazy patterns, text or characters either as they just make it harder to mix and match. 👌🏻
I just wear Christmas pajamas everyday....I even have two sets of the exact same ones. Well, sometimes I do actually put real pants on...you know when reality happens.

Think the moral of the story is "don't wear white trousers" 😂
Run the maple syrup lid under hot water! It's the sugars crystallising that make it hard to open and heat will melt it 😊
I was thinking about suggesting the same.
You are my favourite youtuber ever I've watched every single one of ur videos multiple times. I always watch you when I'm having a bad day because you always make me feel happier. ❤️❤️❤️
I think I'd have picked dark jeans or black trousers. It would've saved on the washing. I always find I inevitably drop something on light colours.
On why things are difficult to open in the morning, me and my friend diagnosed ourselves with a made up condition called CMF which stands for 'Can't Make Fist', because your hands never work properly in the morning. You're not alone. I'm not a medical professional at all xx
😂 this is the dorkiest comment I've ever read and i mean that in the nicest way possible. Thanks for the laughs!
Nuttall Vlogs it can be an early sign of carpal tunnel, but is usually to do with circulation
Yess it happens to me, nice to know im not alone. My brothers and sister always make fun of it when i ask them to open bottles for me on saterdays morning.
this feels so reassuring, I used to be so scared to repeat outfits in college
this is like watching a cartoon, where the main character doesn't get any outfit changes like....ever.
“Just wants to go to the toilet to be honest with you” 😂😂
I tend to lay my clothes out the night before, especially when I have to work early in the morning. It honestly is so much easier and less stress in the morning. When you’re so short on time.
Having to wear a uniform for work is a great help. No need to think about it. Slobby clothes on the weekends when not going out. Party outfit when you do. Has helped me to trim down my wardrobe and get rid of stuff that doesn't fit, is worn out or don't like. Nice and simple now. Added bonus; saves on laundering time & costs due to less clothing being used.
Take a sip of oasis everytime editing Grace pops in.
I wear jeans and tshirt or jeans and jumper every day. My wardrobe never changes. Its one less thing for me to worry about.
The 'fantastic' about the bread and butter got me so good. Instant subscription. You are just the bee's bloody knees.
Black tshirt and black jeans for me! I also have a hoodie, black coat, black blazer, black jumper, black dress, 4 pairs of footwear and some accessories. That's the wardrobe!
We just screamed out loud " Gracie, get the pink jar opener girl" ! 😁❤
Can't sleep..I had to watch one of your many incredibly entertaining vids..LOVE the boogie ♡ lol
Your one outfit for 5 days was brilliant!
Putty Brownies - oh, grace, you're so wholesome and i'm here for it!
What are they called otherwise? I don't know what she meant
A couple of years ago I wore the same outfit for an entire month and not a single person noticed. I no longer care if i wear the same thing two days in a row and I do it all of the time. Also, wear black. No one notices if you wear black over and over again.
I really like the idea of this! I think a great way to do a version of this would just be to have a few sets of things that all go together. It still takes away the decision, because those pants go with that top and also that top, but you can mix and match a bit and feel like it's different every day. And then when going out you can choose to wear something more fun, but at least throughout the week at work or school it's taken that decision away. Minimalist, basically, but with the added bonus of still having the things in your closet that make you really happy that you can choose to wear on occasion. I do love deciding what to wear though, and I normally decide in the evening so I can just grab it in the morning.
I wear black compression leggings, black boots and a black knit sport skirt everyday. I can go shopping, to the gym, get on a plane, just change the top. So comfortable and cute, good for legs!
Little Women ligit is amazing - everyone should go see it!
You should try to do a capsule wardrobe for 30 days! You can do it with things you already have or thrift items:) I was gonna say a week, but then it wouldn’t really be a challenge😂
i saw a youtube video of a minimalist on youtube who owns a capsule wardrobe of a uniform as such, so a couple of white shirts a couple of black pants ect.
so everyday she essentially wears exactly the same outfit and it helps her with time, anxiety ect.
Love this video and the concept! I also work from home and find that I rarely have to buy new clothes since no one really sees me wearing them other than my husband and my toddler. So I find that I will wear the same clothes several times until they need washing, maybe 2-3 days depending what I'm doing, and I also try to buy neutral clothes that will all match with everything else I have so that I dont have to make decisions about what I'm wearing. I really only have to think about the weather (I live in canada where we experience 2-3 seasons each day for most of the year) and grab what will be comfortable. I think the reason people buy so many clothes is more because they are concerned about what other people will think about them, and its such a waste of money, effort, and mental stress.
Grace! You could do a video of meal prepping and planning all your outfits on the weekend and taking out as many decisions you have to make during the day as you can by planning everything on the weekend and then seeing how your week goes and if it affects you as you'll have less decisions to make daily!
I had a neighbor/acquaintance growing up who was a graphic artist (painter) who wore 505 jeans and the same brand of navy pocket tee shirt as long as I knew him (this was in Florida, so, flip flops in summer and sneaks in the winter.)
He was emotionally/mentally "technicolor," but undisputedly brilliant with paint. It never occurred to me that his wardrobe monotony helped keep his stress level down.
Yay for Grackle always delivering quality content! So thankful to have found your channel, you're the only one I have notifications on for. Keep up the good work!
Two of my professors at university always wore the same outfit as well. Just like Steve Jobs with his blue jeans and black turtleneck. I like the idea! It gives you this trademark look.
umm food on sale? yeah I'd be queuing too! 😂
Grace, we saw some youtube clips yesterday of people in the south of England going swimming on new years day - literally thousands of them - the Booths should do this next year
So --- find an outfit you like to wear, feel comfortable in & looks good (maybe one outfit per season) and buy 5 of each thing! 5 pants, 5 shirts, etc. That way, you can do the "uniform" dressing most of the time if you want without so much laundry.
I've been wanting to see "Little Women," now I definitely will!
Oh ... and your boogie sesh was everything.
I love thinking about my outfit everyday, it actually helps me wake up 😂
omg yes little women is so goodddd
Grace you should try that capsule style clothing: where you pick a few staple items/outfits & create different outfits everyday, using the clothes in the capsule.
I’m so insecure of my body that I haven’t bought any clothes in the last 2 years. I’m most likely wearing the same outfits always.
A blessing in disguise, I think. I haven't bought any new clothes in pretty long while either and don't plan on it either, apart from necessity maybe. Think of all you're saving!
Same . My closest has been looking the same for the past 2-3 years. Shopping for clothes brings me so much anxiety , I truly despise it.
I shop thrift stores, which limits how much there is in my size (I live in a small town,) so it's less to choose from, and I hadn't considered it, but that's probably one of the reasons I shop there: less choice, more comfort.
Ditto
I buy custom made clothes via a website called EShakti - you create a profile with your measurements and then choose from a huge range of styles. The clothes always fit (you can return if they don't but I've never needed to) and it saves me so much stress and anxiety.
Awww I LOVED 'Little Women' it made me cry though
I've actually worn the same outfit for years...
Yup
It's a little bit unusual, but it's definitely something people do. I feel like sometimes it even comes off as being chic? It probably depends on what kind of outfit you wear, though
anime characters be like:
School uniform lol
I do love the idea of a uniform. I went to college for fashion and did a research project on uniforms and their effect on the mind. Came up with similar results to what your challenge did.
Also, if you feel you lack creativity in your uniform over time, then it lets you have more space to be creative in other aspects of your life.
Or, have you also thought about a capsule wardrobe? Almost like a uniform with a bit more variation, and still less mental energy involved.
Because you are so pretty and shine so brightly that no one even noticed!! 🤗🙏🏻💕 We love you here in ER Room in North Carolina ( America). Glad that we found you. ❤

I love looking at the half-price food after Christmas, too! XD
So awesome that you're making the decision to shop entirely second-hand!! I'm a long-time fan and can't wait to see some more *sustainable contentttt*
You could do like a capsule wardrobe where you have e.g. 3 tops, 2 jumpers, a hoodie, 1 pair of jeans, 1 pair of trousers, 1 skirt and 2 coats and just wear different combos each day.
you have re-inspired me to stop buying new clothes because to be honest, i have so many already and its true! no one really cares enough to remember what you wear all the time :)
Video idea : trying out the new menus at the fast food places (for veganuary) although I bet you're already on it!!!
Always get your clothes picked out for the day the night before. You just get up and put on what you picked out last night. No stress at all.
Anyone else binge watching Grackle vids? Me too
I do
yeah!
This was never a decision it just happened but I’ve bought almost all secondhand for the past 2 years and and have only bought like 5 new pieces of clothing
Happy New Year Grace. Thank you for making my 2019 more bearable with your grackin' content ♥️
Where is your long black coat from? I really love it - elevates ANY outfit!
Banksy for the win! She figured this out long ago.... Smart cat. Turkey and stuffing chips or crisps are the best.
Essentially a uniform:-) I've experience that for decades, through school.
I haven’t watched the whole vid yet but wanted to say kudos to grace! It’s so rare to find someone CZcams doing interesting challenges and actually being creative x 😊
You don't know how much I been needing graces content !!!
Love this, I have done it myself for 2 weeks, but, I just pulled out all my black pants and shirts and cycled through that, so not the exact same clothes but really close, this way I would not have to wash as much. It was actually very nice. Ps, Ignore the guys in the comments who don't get it lol, I get it totally!
I am going to confess something that might sound awful. If I get a stain cooking or doing something, I rarely change. I just clean it up in the best possible way and carry on, because I hate washing clothes when I have barely give any use. I feel like I shorten the life of my clothes for no good reason. And guess what?? People very rarely notice it.
😂Tbh Same
Feel like I'm getting to know the Sutherland's now as well as the Booths ❤️❤️❤️
My sister remembers we wore the same clothes to school for 5 days. We changed into play clothes after however. I was younger and it didn’t bother me at all. She was embarrassed she says now. A room mate of mine wore the same thing for every mon Tuesday etc. you knew what day of the week it was by the outfit. I remember helping her shop for “professional clothes”. I have so much clothes now I need to pare down and get rid of stuff. I buy wok and cotton things usually more speedy on the front end. So I hate to get rid of u less it is ruined.
I’d love to see a closet organizing!
Literally love everything about you
I'm actually quite surprised not many people do this. I only ever own 1 pair of blue jeans, 1 pair of black, a basic leather skirt, and a handful of basic black, white, striped tops, a few graphic tees. 1 jacket, 4 hoodies, 1 pair of trainers, 1 pair of boots and 1 pair of pumps. That's my entire wardrobe.
I will wear the same pair of shoes everyday until they break and then buy another pair to replace them, and I do the same thing with all my clothing.
The only thing I can justify buying more of is underwear due to the fact they dont last as well and being a women accidents happen a lot 🙈
I've seen beauty bloggers, youtubers and influencers who wear £1000+ clothing only 1 time and their closets are full of designer clothes. By all means wear what you want, spend your money how you want, but for me I just can't justify that.
I loved this video because it really makes you realise how 1 thing can change your entire day and it's a great way to help with fast fashion. 💕
Grace: I've worn the same outfit for 4 days.
People: Ewww, gross.
This cracks me up 😂
I'm almost a cartoon character at this point, I wear like the same hoodie everyday 😂
At work I would wear black jeans and a different, simple, flowy top each day. I had two pairs of nice shoes that I interchanged and voilà! Ready for work. Many women in my office dressed the same because it was easy.
I would love to see your skincare routine. You have such nice and glowy skin!
I've been wearing the same outfit for the last five years 😅.
I deal with decision fatigue by eating the same thing every day. Around five days of the week I eat the same-no breakfast, porridge for lunch and the same salad for dinner. It’s made my life feel so much easier. Sounds dumb but it’s hard to decide what to eat every day on top of everything else so I just take away all the options and it reduces my stress immensely.
Last time I was this early dinosaurs still existed.
More unique & interesting content from the one n only Grackle!!
This is just the life of a uni student during the second semester. Like i do not have the time to think of a new outfit everyday so I'd just wear it mon-fri unless it got smelly or dirty.

I think it's a great idea and I think everybody should try it.
That maple syrup is so hard to open, I feel your pain. It's cause all the sugar crystallises and make it impossible to unscrew the lid :((
So nice you decided to only buy second hand clothes til Easter! You should totally stop buying new clothes at all! Your bank account and the planet will be way happier 😊
I stopped buying fast fashion about a year ago and I haven’t looked back! I feel amazing and unique xx
... I literally own that sloth-faced shirt. Well done young lady, you know all you need to know about fashion
I wish this was more widely accepted. I also would suggest that you really don't even need to wash it every day because we don't make our clothing that dirty from one day of wear. This would be such a great step toward a more sustainable lifestyle for so many people!
People might think I'm crazy but I don't understand why people need to wash clothes after every use 🤣 underwear, yes. But like unless you end up sweating up a storm or something I feel like it's a waste of water to do that lol. Either way- cute outfit, I love your style.
yeah, if it's not hot out, you can easily get a few good uses of an item.
shirts, sweaters, jeans. they easily last a few days without needing a wash. i can easily go a whole week with the same jeans and not wash them. as long as they're not getting stained and they're not smelling from sweat, you can easily get away with wearing them a few times before washing
People who wash clothes after one wear (underwear excluded) are the crazy ones

@@Ray_Vun right?! That's how I am too. I was kinda surprised to hear her mom sound disgusted until she knew Grace was washing them a lot 🤣 it also wears the clothes down a lot quicker so they dont last as long.
