Here's a little story. My sister asked me what i wanted for Christmas in 76 and i told her i wanted the new album from Paul McCartney and Wings '' Wings over America'' . She said that's all you want? I told her yea, its a 3 album set.We all laughed. II was surprised that she did get it for me. and two tickets to the ''Wings over America'' tour that happened to be coming to Denver. What a show that was. [Side story] At he concert i freaked out the whole band Just before they did blackbird i yelled HEY! LOOK UP HERE!. (we were in the cheap seats in the back of the stage and nobody looked up at the fans )( till then) Paul jumped out of the rocking chair and held up his acoustic looking up in our direction then gave out three whoo's. Even Joe English and the horn section was looking up . Linda , Jimmy and Denny Lane was laughing , cause it was loud loud ! Hell i was even shocked cause it just flew out of my mouth. Then i looked around and a sea of eyes from every direction was looking back at me. My best friend Bob's jaw was dropped and he was staring at me in disbelief. The rest of the show Paul was playing facing us more than the people in front. It was so cool. Peace and Love

We saw Paul McCartney in concert last year. He can STILL wow the crowd. I heard that he gets his fingernails manicured every day because of his guitar playing. When McCartney first teamed up with John Lennon, McCartney was impressed that John had his own band. John was impressed that McCartney could read music and knew how to tune a guitar.

Paul is magical.

I got crazy stupid lucky and landed tickets about 10 rows up - maybe 30 feet off stage left.

Actually, Paul McCartney's raspy voice did sound like that on many occasions with The Beatles. Top of my head, 'Oh! Darling', 'Golden Slumbers', 'Back in the U.S.S.R.', 'Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da', 'Why Don't We Do It in the Road?', 'Helter Skelter', 'Get Back', 'Birthday', etc. In fact, 'Maybe I'm Amazed' was released around the time the 'Let It Be' album was released (1970).

That is a band that is locked in and very well played. They were just so damn tight, that they make their parts feel so effortless, but the song is so rich and has so much depth. Not to mention how insanely romantic it is and Paul having his wife on stage with him makes you feel it. I have seen this video and heard this song thousands of times since being a kid in the 1970's. If this was the last song I ever heard on earth, I could die and go to heaven with big smile on my face because it reminds me that I have love and love a woman this deeply.

For the first 2 or 3 songs, it was "I'm seeing a Beatle live in concert!" Then after that, it settled in just how great he is on his own and just all about the performance quality.

Kel, you need to hear Paul singing "I've got a feeling", from "Let it Be". Rich, you are about my age and we have the same taste in music. I grew up in South Texas where tejano music is the pop music of the area. No offense to tejano music but I don't like an accordion as a lead instrument. Nevertheless, I had a terrible social life during my youth. I literally followed the advice on "Fast times at Ridgemont High" by playing Led Zeppelin in my father's Cadillac for my prom date. She reached over to the stereo controls to change the music. Anyway, it's fun to see people from my generation having the same love for music.

Hi guys, its Laurie and Darrell from Newport News, Va. We really enjoy watching yalls videos. Kel, you revitalize our love of this music. I know it's been about 8 months since you put this video out, and I should've commented sooner, but I didn't want to open "that" can of worms. Have you heard the "Paul is dead" conspiracy theory? According to this theory, Paul died in a car crash in 1966 and was replaced by a look alike who through surgery (and Paul's absence from public view for a time) was accepted as Paul McCartney. The theorists offer side by side photos (pre and post 1966) as part of the evidence, and the difference in key when Paul sings. Anyway , the reason I say anything at all is because at about the 12:40 mark, Kel, you say "I didn't know he could sing like that, or play like that", "that is not the Paul McCartney I"ve heard". It"s glorious to me to think of all those theorists out there who are going crazy over such comments, and especially coming from someone who is so new and innocent to all this music and the culture surrounding it. I haven"t seen anyone else comment on the subject so I threw in my 2 cents, and for me it is just something to smile about. Ok guys keep on truckin, stay safe, and we will keep watching.

I think maybe you guys should check out the Beatles - oh darling, McCartney was killing these vocals in the Beatles as well, his range is absolutely ridiculous, great reaction!!!!

I was at that exact concert. Still have the ticket stub too! If you were to watch the entire concert, I think it's on DVD now, and look toward the stage and looked for the tallest person near the first stage amp on the left side; that would be me.
