Her and Melissa McCarthy .. and honestly Cecily Strong is the Dan Ackroyd of this line up .. these ladies never come off as "Kate McKinnon as British Prime Minister".. like the afore mentioned , these ladies are so fuking good, that they convey a prescient nature to whomever they satirize. Cecily is arguably the best actor in the group and my proof is this: name one character she's played where her artisan skills don't completely conceal her true identity. Even if breaking character is necessary or ignoring the 4th wall. She is as capable a stage actress and is as world class as any 4 Tony winning actresses combined, and is completely comfortable in letting the others capabilities shine while her brilliant way of doing all these muted things unselfishly to prop her co actor . I know that there are plenty of other actresses that do this, such as Christine baranski, Madeline Khan could do it better than anybody, Jane Lynch, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Lucille Ball to name a few. However my dialogue is ruled by the thought that just like in her abilities I feel that she's not recognized enough for just how damn good she really is. Kate McKinnon is more of a funny mans Orson Welles combined with elements of all the other actresses I named. She can permeate a scene like a vapor can permeate a room and when she pairs up with the right people such as Cecily Strong, she's unbeatable. You put her with Melissa McCarthy, and they rule the entire background of a movie like a motif, that my friend is exactly what Oscar Wilde once said... "It is the purpose of art to conceal the artist." He also once said.. "if art is both loved and hated then it has fulfilled its promise"

Edit: I understand that she didn't nail Theresa May's accent perfectly, but that wasn't the point of the sketch. May isn't an instantly recognizable international character the way Trump or others are - the point of the sketch was to make her into the reserved, calm, detached posh Brit who nonetheless got into a Twitter beef with Trump that Kate portrayed her to be in this sketch, which was exactly why she nailed it.
Sorry, that was atrocious. She clearly did no research on Theresa May's speech patterns, and just pulled out generic 'posh' british female accent. That sounds nothing like her...
