I know, it's starting to become a fun challenge to see how many times I can spot one of those beautiful furries in the scene ! 🤭 They are so adorable, one looks almost identical to a cat I lost a few years ago ! 😓 But I also get to envision him living in kitty heaven somewhere, pretending Douglas is him having a fantabulous new life somewhere Lol.

A touch of spring color with the back drop of snow. It looks so wonderful in the room with the piano. The miniature iris brought the arrangement together in such a fun way. I love your instruction on flower arrangements, it has been so helpful to me. It has also caused me to always be on the look out for the unique and unusual to use as a vase. Thank you for so much inspiration! I also think Russel enjoyed the special treatment.

Yrs ago my mother brought in some beautiful Red Twig Dogwood branches to add in with white roses from Christmas. We wasn't aware of a Praying Mantis egg pod was attached to one of the branches. About 2 weeks later they hatched. We had 100s of them throughout our dinning room nightmare ‼️

That arrangement is probably one of my favorites so far that you have made over the years. Does your talent ever end? You are such a talented lady. I’m going to try to reproduce that somewhat with silk flowers if I can find some that have pretty enough color. I'm so glad you allowed Russell in the Hartley this time he so sweet and cute...Douglas too, both keep you company while you're doing your thing. I just bought some roses/flowers from the grocery store, yes for my bday and I know what you're saying sometimes you hit the mark and sometimes you want to start all over. I want to do more of finding fillers in my garden like that. Anyhow, you always make some very pretty and unique arrangements and I like when you walk us through it. It turned out just awesome 💐😊

Oh my heart! I'm in S. Indiana. We have seen nothing but extreme cold,ice,rain fog for days, and gray skies. Seeing this bouquet with all the yellows. Love the artichoke foliage, too. Then you added all the spring bulb flowers, and it just popped. I'm heading out to walmart to get me some flowers to help my gloomy days.

Laura's arrangement is gorgeous. I don't know how much Laura spent on the flowers but, I know at my grocery store all the flowers, except for the roses and ranunculus, would be $5.99 or 3 for $15. The roses and ranunculus would be between $9 and $12. The lovely fillers are "free" from the landscape. So, maybe around $100ish. But, seriously, to buy that caliber of arrangement in my area would be upwards of $275 and I think I'm being conservative with that estimate. Don't be discouraged by that estimate...you can always make something beautiful on any budget.

Unlike most of us you have a lifetime of living at your parents' facilities. Nice use of silver artichoke leaves. I used kale cuttings from my veg garden as a filler for a Thanksgiving arrangement and it was striking. Thinking outside the box! 🌸🌸🌸

I would bet that you'd like the brighter "riot of color" (as Aaron would say) arrangements better this time of year because you don't have those bright pops of color to see in the garden and appreciate the more monochromatic ones in the spring and summer months when there is so much going on outside!
