i love that you used hosta leaves! last night, i cut leaves off a hosta that was impeding on my walkway and rather than throw them away, i filled a glass milk bottle with cold water and the hosta leaves. this morning, i'll cut some roses to bring a spot of color.

Great tip to bring home seeds from every country you visit. I never would have thought of that, but it's such a spectauclar, yet simple and affordable, item to bring home and enjoy for years to come.
Check with authorities before you buy, because it could very well be seized at the border.

So fun watching Martha in her decorating zone. I used to watch all episodes of her show at Turkey Hill. Love the crystal! I am a believer in using vessels created for different purposes--as was done with the pencil holder. If it is beautiful, it will work! It doesn't matter what the original intent was for. On another note... I desperately need that cake stand in the background! I just searched for it online and do not see it anywhere. Is this a Martha Stewart product?

Holding flowers over flame heat will most likely wilt them. But if you heat a skillet and singe them that’s a good idea

i was so tense and worried over a kitten being flown to me and then i saw this in the you tube que. as i watched, i felt better just looking and thinking about working w/ these beautiful flowers. i wish American tastes for flowers were as strong as those in the UK and Europe. they place such a nice day to day value on the natural and useful life of the humble flower.

Can you do different artificial flower arrangements
how do you get the bugs out of the peonies before you bring them in the house?
What did you say the bulb was for the white flowers you put in with the lupine? Could not understand you as there is and echo in the room you are arranging in. Thank you.
I always thought bringing back flower or vegetable seeds from overseas was illegal. Martha can you clarify how you get to do it without customs knowing or disallowing? 😃
Not a legal expert, but I think packaged seeds are clean, you can get them even on ebay, but seedlings with soil come with papers from the nursery you got them from....best ordered by mail. Your seeds will give you new varieties you can name!
