For those of you who are pretty new to V-Ray, this tutorial will teach you the basics of how to actually render with V-Ray Next (and earlier versions). With the advent of progressive rendering, it is now easier than ever to get good rendering results. Chaos group has done a lot in the latest versions to really make Vray user friendly.
In this tutorial I will show that you really only need to adjust a few key render settings most of the time, and you can still get excellent quality architectural renderings. Specifically, you can use just the time settings and the noise threshold, and you will have complete control over quality. I also show the basic global illumination (GI) settings I use, which are very simple and straightforward. Don't be overwhelmed by all the settings in Vray. I will show that good renderings are actually quite simple to achieve.
In addition to basic render settings, I also show how to setup V-Ray render channels and which ones I use. This is helpful when it comes to post-processing your architectural visualizations.
The final thing I demonstrate in this tutorial is a few of the settings that are built into the V-Ray frame buffer, specifically the lens effects. These are a post effect, meaning they are not burned into the rendering and can be adjusted after the fact. They create their own render channel as well.

Great video thanks!! Can you explain the render elements and what their job is exactly in a video ?

So, Vray Next is not much different to previous versions when it comes to settings, right? Like, can I still be following a tutorial that's using Vray 3.6 while I'm already using Next? Or is there a big difference in workflow? Thanks! I'm thinking about upgrading to Next, soon.

Is there a reason you use BF instead of IM. I read that IM is much smarter in the use of resources so it allows for better result if used properly. Did something change in Vray Next?

Irridiance Map is a baised gi solution the reason why it is faster tha brute force because it uses some shortcuts when computing gi that is why some vray render looks sa flat or plastic looking specially for those tiny contact gi detail you wont get those tiny gi detail in IM why brute force is much slower than Im but it is more accurate so those tiny gi detail you will get those rich detail when using brute force, most people say corona is much realistic than vray its because it uses path tracing aka brute force corona dont have baised primary gi engine but when you use brute froce in vray you wont notice any difference between corona and vray believe I've done a tone of test regarding this matter...
