This was a great watch! It's going to help in deciding which one to get for my new smart home
Glad you found it helpful
I already have some of the Eve Motion sensors connected to Home Assistant via Matter/Thread.
Cannot think of anything more reliable but also cannot think about any bigger motion sensor. That thing is huge!
May consider getting some Aqara P2s in the future to replace the Eve Motion ones at least in very obvious areas.
I agree 100 percent. The Eve is so reliable but the size and price draws it back. It’s my favourite from reliability standpoint. The size and potential price drops of the p2 make it very appealing
Thank you for your review, very helpful. My question is, if I set-up an automation for the Aquara P2 to turn on the bathroom light for example, when I walk in the bathroom, will it keep the lights on if it stilldetects motion or it will turn it off after some minutes?
You have to play around with the delay. Figure out what the most time you stay in that spot while not moving and set the light to stay on for at least that time before going off if no motion.
If it detects motion within that delay you set, the timer resets again. So for example in my bathroom I set mine to 5mins. If I don’t move in that 5mins it means I’m no longer there. But if I move at 4.55 it resets the timer to 5mins again. Does that make sense ?
@@TyDaSpaceYes it does. Thank you !
Mine always says device not responding as soon as I pair it. Any ideas as to why?
