How are you able to connect the 1st kamehameha into the air L? I'm copying your input of just holding the 9 while inputing the beam but never able to hit?
If you do the old route with j236H, you’ll get more damage. However, this route does slightly less damage while building a lot more meter.

hold down S as you jump so you automatically get the super jump. that should make it easier
