WE GO TO THE SAME HOSPITAL đ âïž Duke has saved my life so many times!
In A life With Sticklerâs OH COOL! Duke is so great I love them :)
Amanda McCool, Iâm not sure what you meant đ
you are very pretty! Keep doing what you do!
i just got a g tube after having ngâs and njs for two years, iâm admitted rn with an nj because iâm waiting to be able to switch my g tube to a gj tube :) good luck
i hope all goes well with your new tube!
How do you stand having a tube in that long? I have an NJ tube for a few days and my throat is very sore, and even talking makes it worse. I also have an earache, so shallowing hurts my ear. Does it get better?
I have had one in before, and was worse, but I was coughing up mucus and they first put in a bigger tube to clear out my stomach contents. Had it for a week, but it got clogged up, so they removed it.
What makes this time worse is I was able to eat my food just fine before, but now with the tube, just makes everything so complicated. Not able to get dietitian because insurance wonât cover it, but yet I have this tube in me. All I have are ensures to put down, but that takes forever. I swear I am loosing more weight now then I was before and getting worse. Insurance is a pain in the a**. Iâm just sick and tired of having a feeding tube in me, again. Right now it is not serving its purpose like itâs supposed to, so it just makes it worse on me mentally. Hopefully insurance would go through
I had a feeding tube when I was really young, Iâm just glad i canât remember having it because my cousin ripped it out of me. đ
To me, I'll be honest, a feeding tube looks like a medieval torture... there's too much suffering in the world
@@susanmargaretwills6432 my parents refused to put it back in me after that because they felt like they were torturing me. Iâm thankful they did too because of they didnât my doctor would have made me have a permanent one I really didnât need. đ€·đŒââïž
Gorgeous Kitty!
Your so pretty !
I love you glasses
thank you!!!
You deserve more recognition Hounestly! Not being able to eat a certain amount is hard enough.. just now Iâm on neocate jr and caligon due to suspected gastroprieisis I dunno how to spell so bare with me đđ€ŠđŒââïžbut I also need a gastric emptying study after this pandemic Is lifted. I was wondering if the radio active eggs they give u taste like eggs đI know thatâs a silly question itâs jus try I canât tolerate eggsđđ€ŠđŒââïžanyways hope your doing well and staying safe during this horrific time x
aww thank you! and the eggs tasted kinda like eggs ??? đ they werenât very pleasant but i really donât like eggs in general. i hope everything goes well for you đ
@@laurenboh omg Iâve just seen this. I didnât end up getting the radio active eggs still waiting on that but I did have a barium swallow test and now stuck with a feeding tube until my operation hopefully I hope things are going welll for you, and you and your family stay safe x

I had a feeding tube for a while when I was a baby. I was a premie and eating was too tiring and wasnât very successful until I got the tube
your vlogs are really interesting. thanks to them I feel stronger or something ... I can't cure normal gastritis for a very long time, so I'm a little worried and afraid that I will be put on a tube for food, because it hurts to eat, but thanks to your video I feel a little easier ! thank you
and I have a little question about the food pipe. is it strongly felt when you say / do something? Are there any feelings in your stomach after you have placed your feeding tube? I'm not sure if this is a cool feeling - constant stomach fullness
Any update?? Are you alright?
@@kalexis6484 probably.....???? I'm not sure. I overcame anorexia nervosa (but it comes back for a campaign, although I don't think it went away at all), compulsive overeating, selfharm, now I'm trying to cope with rare (thank God) panic attacks, severe depression. to reduce panic attacks, I went home schooling. I hope in the summer I can step over my self-loathing and start to love myself at least a little. but I'm really flattered that you askedđ„șđ„ș
@@midalee6095 Iâm so sorry, but also Iâm happy some things are going well! Anxiety and panic attacks are actual hell and are not fun at allâŠ. You got this no matter what.
I just wanted to add youâre very strong for everything youâre going through and fighting through, itâs not easy yet youâre doing it â€ïžđ„ș
You deserve to love yourself, you have a lot going for yourself itâs just hard to remember đ„ș remember to be patient and the little things will remind you of what makes you worthy of loving yourself â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
@@midalee6095 I'm also a stranger seeing this a year later and touching base to give encouragement! I hope that wherever you are now and however you're doing that you have the support you need irl. Strangers online are definitely rooting for you, though!
Hey xo What was the results for your GES xo??
I'm going through delayed emptying of my stomach. Im on xifaxin right now to see if its bacterial. This video is helpful. Will you have the tube forever?
oh iâm sorry to hear that! hopefully the tube is just temporary but as of now we donât know much of a timeline yet
@@laurenboh did they try to give you meds before hand?
yeah they tried 3 other meds over a few weeks to try and get my stomach working again but nothing seemed to help
@@laurenboh I really hope that things turn around and it starts working again. I'm a foodie and this is crushing my spirit. I truly hope that it ends up being another condition. Did your stomach stay bloated even if you didn't eat?
it only got bloated when i tried to eat. i hope things get turned around for you too! i know how hard this can be
This is the same hospital I go to well not the childrenâs but duke! And Iâll be getting a feeding tube soon as well! Iâm so scared
Raeâs Luscious Beauty ah i know itâs scary but itâll be good and itâs not that bad to get, you get used to it pretty quick! i hope it all goes well!!
lauren boh thank you â€ïž
Hey, this was such a good vid! How come they made you stay longer than a couple days? Iâve had a feeding tube placed and I was only kept in hospital for a day or two as they needed to teach me how to work everything ahah. I get that every experience is different Iâm just interested ahah. Xxxx
thanks!! and they had to keep me a few nights to make sure i didnât go in to refeeding syndrome since i had been so malnourished for so long, they wanted to make sure my body could handle it well đ
lauren boh oohhhh right ok, that makes sense, Iâve literally binge watched most of you vids theyâre so good and educational! I hope you start to feel a bit better now with your ng xxx
thank you
đâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžđșđž
I really like your channel. this Hospital reminds me of the one I was in recently.
Are you still tolerating the NG? They didnât bother with one for me bc my GES was too crappy so I had an NJ for 6 months, then got a GJ. Have had that since 2016. Hope all goes well!
yes! iâm still doing well with NG just have not been able to increase my rate as quickly as they were hoping
u have a twin in australia i sware you do but with red hair omg lilly findlay her name is
i had one but not anymore
when i was on my tube for a couple weeks i eventually got to 200ml per hour, it was such shit
My name is Tyler Stone and I go to Duke Hospital and I'm 25 yrs old
Bc im getting one tomorow
Hope it went ok! â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
@@aspiechan420 it went good but the they put it on my lung by mistake it was so painful I couldn't breath but then they took a x ray and found out it was in my lung so they took it out and put it back in and I stayed 2 weeks in the hospital it went good :3
Apart from needing to have finger pricks tho- they were painful
@@morganstill4648 put it in your lung!!!!!!! Did you feel the change into your lung oh my god???
Did it hurt the first time
it didnât hurt too bad but it definitely was not comfortable
lauren boh Okayy Iâm about to have one and Iâm spooked this eases my nerves a bit
i hope everything goes well!
One question
Dos it hurt or feel weird?
ă·x M Ăž ç h Ăź Ä« x It definitely felt really weird and hurt my throat a bit at first but after having it for a while it doesnât bother me anymore :)
@@laurenboh did you cry when you got it put down??
Wait do u need a iv with a feeding tube..
i think it depends! at my hospital they placed one when i was admitted to rehydrate me and just in case they needed one while i was admitted, hope all goes well for you!
@@laurenboh awh thx UwU im litterly terrified to get it done
@@morganstill4648 how did it go? I am on my tenth and itâs not too bad.
I really hope this comes across the right way because I am really enjoying your videos. I also have EDS, Gastroparesis, etc and from my understanding and talking to my doctor you only usually get a feeding tube if you can not even drink your calories such as ensure. You seem to be eating quite a bit in the previous videos so I am just a bit confused about why this would be necessary for you? Just trying to educate myself.
Liftinginlilly92 No yeah thatâs a good question. In the previous video i had to eat all of my food for the emptying study, but i was in SO MUCH pain and throwing up the rest of the day. So while i technically can eat I really canât keep anything down and eating causes my stomach a lot of pain. The progression of not being able to really eat took a bit and I did get to the point where even drinking an ensure or a smoothie would make me so sick and I lost a bunch of weight and was very malnourished
i have anorexia and this is ...ewww for me T-T
To me, I'll be honest, a feeding tube looks like a medieval torture... there's too much suffering in the world
