- If you follow the channel you will know since the Penn Slammer III was released it has pretty much taken over my rod and reel arsenal almost completely. The Slammer has proved it self to be almost indestructible, lets see how the new Slammer 4 performs on some quality "trash" fish đ

I'm that confident in the quality of these videos, I'm liking them during the advert at the start.
I bought a cheap on special Penn rod, the warfare model in 3 to 6 kg and 7 foot and it's one of the best rods i've had. From day one I've increased my hook up rate no end. From catching small Tommies, garfish, whiting etc, to jigging for squid, which i cleaned up with using it the first time (7 in less than 1 hour). it's also been great on good sized salmon as well
G'day rod. What a legend u are in the craft u teach!! Watching your content has been the drive I needed to get on the water myself. Your knowledge is endless and everything you discuss on your Chanel makes sence to me. Keep up the amazing videos!!
You: Opening packages like it's Christmas in Sept'.
Me: Green with envy with no packages (also in Sept.)
I always enjoy watching you fish those waters, I've seen you catch many mack tuna, although they aren't popular with your family for eating they sure do fight hard, good looking fish too! Just heading into winter here, snow coming soon, looking forward to your summer fishing videos. As always, great video quality and production, thanks and take care.
Thank You VERY Much for Your gentle touch, "Nice" is the word, I guess. And a REQUEST - an annual vid inventory update of Your Rods, Reels, and Lines - more "One to Rule", pls. Sometimes changes come quickly. As a beginner saltwater shore angler with 60-plus years as a hardcore Rocky Mountain fly fisher, I cannot get enough of Your type of content - well-thot-out & trustworthy from a gentleman. In that lite, perhaps some separate vid with Your lens deep in Your everyday tackle. Regardless, Thanks Again, Rod.
These videos have me in Texas, looking at shipping costs for a Penn reel and a Stealth kayak every single time!
Im in south tx and have been looking for islands to camp on lolll
@@travishunt588 come over to georgia, we got some nice barrier islands
Stealth dealer in TX man! You wouldnât regret it! Love mine here in NC (TX actually home state)
@@neckrohs i really want to fish Floridas waters! Never even seen the alantic side hows the fishing there?
@Travis Hunt snapper, triggerfish, amberjack you name it. fishing is amazing.
The feel of a new reel is just heaven!!
Great content as always rod!! I love watching your adventures. Glad too see you frothing over the new penn gear as well. I was really hoping peen would have made a one piece handle this time round. I find there reels to be great but the two piece handle letâs them down. Keep up the amazing work mate!!
Rod, you lucky guy! New gear and a hookup first time out. Can't tell you how much I enjoy your videos.đââđ
I think these gods are the best! Thanks for the content Rod! Appreciate the effort!

Wow it like Christmas day. Shiny new gear for you and a new video for all of us.
I am right there with you on the Penn train. I have been fishing in Florida for more than 30 years and 90% of my reels have been Penn. I have a 30 year old International II's that still sees service on a wreck rig.
From start to finish brilliant mate, love the kayak vids just something about it, maybe I'm biased being a yak angler myself đ
You persuaded me to buy the slammer 111 and what an awesome reel for kayak angling.
Great content as always Rod, keep up the good work, much love from England đȘđȘđȘđŁđŁđ
Great Video, Cheers Rod, and grats on the new rods and Reels..awesome stuff.

Good start for the season Rod. Love those Penn reels. Love ya brother, stay safe!
Hey Rod good to see you back on the water with some well deserve equipment to bring in them monsters out there in Australia. To me Penn is the top of the line fishing equipment. I like that 2500 is it small but strong. Stay safe out there Rod and have a blessed day. Aloha from Kansas.
Woohoooo yesss đ„łđ„łđ„łđ„ł

Love the attitude when you release the fish because your family didnt like to eat mac tuna. Keep make a great video Sir
Always enjoy your yak sessions. Didnât know about the 2500 slammer coming out. Cool! Thanks Rod.
Nice New Penn Slammers Rodđ Iâll have to order mine. Thanks for the Awesome video.
Goodmorning Sir!! Just woke up 6:48 in the morning. Currently watching here from the Philippines. Stay Safe Sir.
PENN is a high-quality company. I love the mystery of what fish is next đ
Glad to see you back on the kayak Rod! I know the viewership may be a bit lower, but its definitely something I love to watch
Your videos are Great ! Seems like they would be a marketable tv series. Thanks Dave in Colorado.
You're a patient man Rod. I would have been like a kid at Christmas.
Great to see you back on the kayak.
Nice video Rod, to the point and entertaining.
Jamaican đŻđČ living in đŹđ§ and I LOVE YOUR CONTENT!!!! Keep going đȘđœđ
Awesome vid rod! The new slammers and Penn rods look the goods!
Great content brother.. I'm looking at a slammer at the moment as well as the Diawa hq saltist a day I've been dead locked.. I know the mac wasn't the fish you wanted but I saw all I needed to see in the slammer to sway me. Thanks for this đ
Quality. Your experience shows. Cool and clam. Good stuff.
Love your videos. I always grab some food and enjoy your adventures.
Hey Rod great video! I'm a big fan of Penn reels also. Love my Fierce and Sargus 8ooos.
My wife yelling out at hearing this playing from the other room
"ITS A NIMBUS 2000!"
Lol
Perfect way to wake up on a Saturday in lockdown!! Love the vids mate
Good to see you back in kayak action!
This was a good trip with new rods. âïžđŁđ
Go Rod,can't resist those Penn,good gear,cheers,stay safe.
It's tempting! I hope Slammer IV arrive in Malaysia a.s.a.p
Iâve learned a lot from watching your content! Good stuff mate! Aloha from Hawaii! Cheeeee đ€đŸđ€đŸđ€đŸ
Same as me! I write left handed, throw right handed, cast both. Can even 10-pin bowl alternating hands đ
Man, that was a super smooth launch!
Awesome vid Rod!
These videos be keeping me sane
"Who watched the live stream knows that this braid doesn't break easily." đ€Łđ€Łđđđđđđđ€Łđ€Ł
I have been looking for a new set up these last days (lost some gear in the surf recently), I have watched at least five slammer IV video reviews... You are the first one to go out there and catch fish with the dam thing.
I always think about that guy that got dragged fifteen miles off shore when he snagged a giant blue marlin in a kayak. One day..
Love those Slammers versatility. Own 2 for 4 years. Kayak fishing off NJ. Never underestimate a Penn slammerâs durability. Canât beat it!
Cool kayak and super reels. Love my Penns too.... Just take care of your shoulder Rod.... Tight Lines always buddy đđŒđ
Keep it up mate love your work đđ»
PENN in da house.. glad to see those brands.. can't wait to see some action..đȘđȘđȘ
Woot! Hes back! And with new gear!
This vid is such a huge win and im not even passed halfway through
That tuna made that new rod work pretty bloody hard!
Double the excitement for this one! Looking at the Slammer IV for my next reel.
Mate, such a nice video! One day I might be joining you on the yak fishing. So cool! đ
Same as me mate.
I'm left handed and do everything right handed. Except for writing. And have my reel handles on the right. Working lures is so much easiest with the left .
Gâday Rod, great to meet you finally that morning. You definitely had more luck than me but you were a bit further out than me also. Another awesome video thanks heaps. Michael
Good to meet you too mate, will see you out there for those first mackerel of the seasonđ

Aaarrrggghhhh!!! Itâs finally here! My future Xmas pressie
Always enjoy your content whether youâre catching trash or trophies. Great review. I also use a 7â med veritas inshore. I love the penn reels but the selection of rods never really suited what I was looking for.
Stay great mate!
Check out the very reasonable Penn Battalion ll and then the Carnage series. The Battalion has Fuji components including Alconite guides . For the price at $110.00 to $140.00 heck of a deal for the quality. Few offer alconite at this price
Hahahaha youâre like me! Iâm left handed but I wind with my right because from the first time I picked up a fishing reel, the handle was on the right. I got accustomed to it. I also write with my right hand despite being a lefty lol
Iâve dislocated my right shoulder twice in six months. Years later it not the same. Use caution.
So jealous stuck in lockdown, can't wait to get back out there.đ
Thanks Rod, some peace and fun.
I was cheering for ya!! Next time...I feel a HUGE one coming your way!!!! XOXOXOX
Awesome vid. Thanks đ
Hi from Malaysia đ..i also have that 2500 Penn.It working very well for my light jingging game..
You have such good fishing videos, keep at it!
Nice setup looks great that slamer new generation!!
Love it when you hook up Rod!
I've "used" daiwa, shimano abu's okuma's etc etc etc pretty much all of the brands. Penn is the most durable in my experiences. Great company overall they are for the fisherman. That's my general impression I have gotten from using them and using their customer service. I almost exclusively only use Penn now. Customer service HAS to be on par with the product. I have usually got shamed and was told it was user error time and time again from a lot of companies.
I have the 2500 standard slammer with 15 lb braid and itâs notorious for making wind knots. I have Shimanos too and they NEVER have wind knots. I love the concept that Penn has but it does not seem to work. Wish I could make it work. Iâve already removed a lot of line. Help?
Great video mate
Cool stuff man! Said it your âgramâ post but you oughtta see what that 2500 can handle! Love my slammer IIIs got Slammer
IVs comin, Cheers man! Love the vids as always
Yep will definitely try and get the 2500 on to some bigger fish soon, as long as they is enough line I canât see it struggling đ
I reeely enjoyed this one, good stuff mad dog! A blooming good size Mac tuna, good to see the slammers in action, they sound super smooth like Barry White đđŁ noice flatty too, not sure what heâs doing out there đ€·ââïž must be staying at the reef hotel đ
Can't wait to see this thing in action.
Great video mate, just wondering Iâm trying to find that penn regiment 8-15kg rod is there any available at the moment, canât find it online thanks
Good stuff..! My slammer 3 became stone age. Will grab the new one.! NZ fishing.
Love your new outfits especially the 2500 reel... I'm a sucker for smaller reels....
Ha, I always do that too, hope the first fish on a new rod was something good. If it was a trash fish it was always disappointing. Went to a private lake this last weekend and caught some big Rainbow Trout. The wooly bugger was the champ of the day.
Never a disappointment when your out on the waterđđ
That mac tuna put a good hurt on that new set up, solid content man. I thought it was a shark because of all the pole bender. But the runs said it all. I know what I'm gonna save up for now.
đ€Ł we are the same, write with our left hand but our dominant hand is the right handđ€đż.
Catch anD stop fishing is one hunDred percent me!! And I believe the same goes for many of just viewers. We don't injure fish for sort....for the so called thrill of hooking into a monster. That mentality disgusts many of us!Your catch and cook ethical fishing is 100% in line with mine and many thousand more. If you lose a few subscribers, then trust us , we will lead other conservation ethical fishermen to your channel! Thats a promise!!
Hoody Rod, thanks for another great video and review of the new Penn gear. I have a Penn gear user for over 40 years mate and the new 2500 is just what I need for the land base fishing I do, so glad Penn did this new real as I have been in need of a new combo so will rush out and purchase etc. If you can would like your opinion how the 2500 handles squid? Been watching your channel since you started and love your no frills content and great narration, love your cooking too....keep doing your content which offers so much.....take care mate from South Oz. Peace.
Cheers mate, yea as a squid reel it would probably last a lifetime. Would be great for land based as you wouldnât have to worry about it copping the water and rocksđ
Awesome mate you have come such a long way how about fishing some creeks I know you canât stay on a island if you do but would love to see you mix it up just a tiny bit keep up the great work
Thanks!
hey Mate what are those pliers that you use? seems good quality and im sick of mine always cathing on the rust
Going to miss the white rods. They looked dope.
Very good reell, đđđ
Craig Rivers, Rivers End Outdoors, Cool Video!
Nice spining reel..đđżđđż
Great review mate, I wanted to get set up for something all round as well as drone fishing off the beach as well as some spinning and like the Penn range, what would you recommend could I get away with a similar set up but a longer rod in the black ops?
Thanks Rod đ
Nice quality gear there! I think I may have to update myself...haha.
Splurge episode. You deserve it brother. đ
Oh yessss more video pls đ„°
good video.may i ask you. how can u avoid water on the camera lens?
Do you used mono for backing or go straight braid?
