RVG Performance Hi-Flow Race Catted offers the best balance of reliability, performance, and cost per horsepower available for your car.
Replacing the factory downpipe, with the Hi-Flow Race Catted downpipe, results in a quicker spool, an improvement in horsepower, a deeper exhaust note. With a Hi-Flow Race Catted downpipe, the engine bay temperature will drop significantly, which results in better longevity for the turbos, valves seals, and all hoses and plastic.
We use a highly optimized design to ensure we offer better quality than our competitors, wider diameter, and smooth mandrel-bent design, which allows a more significant increase in airflow. Our downpipes are handcrafted from SS304 stainless steel and include a lifetime warranty for any manufacturing defects.

Just ordered my RVG catted downpipe! Thanks for the video!
Good choice!
Amazing video man, been thinking of modding my 535i for quite some time now, your content seems like a great place to be to find some good mods!
Thanks for the support!!!
Love this, I’ve been in exact same boat for a while. I’m too old for the smell too, and I’m sure it ain’t doing any favours for my asthma ! Will definitely consider this from RVG
👍🏽
As a welder I must say those are some damn pretty welds on an aftermarket part. RVG definitely stands for quality! And thanks for making more and more videos Grant. Made me love my F10 even more!
Glad I could help! Also, thanks for the input on the welds. I use to work at a shop with welders and I thought the same when I saw them. I still need to learn to weld though.
@johnsonmotorsports I want to buy one of those down pipes but I don’t like it the check engine light on I just want to know if we this new down pipe I don’t have any lights on thanks
@@miguelrosario6485I think that’s why you need to tune it so the system knows .
I Wrapped my downpipe, it does really help with the heat. Spring is in the air time for more upgrades 😁
Nice!!
Ordered mine yesterday. High flow cat as well. Fingers crossed 🤞 all goes well. Just need to get my Intercooler and some time off to do it once I get the parts. Nice vid by the way.
You can do it! I’m sure fitment will be great!
How did it go? Any video or sound clips?
No not yet. Just got back from detachment late September so I didn’t have the car. Maybe this weekend again fingers crossed 🤞
I think it’s a good move. That’s why when I purchase my newer f10 I went high flow cats the smell gets to you after some time.
Very true brother!!! 😂
Looks great! I've been debating switching my catless to a high-flow catted for the smell as well, lol
It honestly smells like a diesel , it doesn’t smell so bad with a e mix
@@KevinTorres-xc2sv lol interesting! Yea I typically run E50 mix but im currently redoing my entire tune due to a new turbo. So Im starting with straight fuel and Gawd that stink 😂. E50 is so much more manageable
Absolutely!!
They have real good product I have them on my 550i f10
Awesome! That’s great to know!
How do you like the high-flow downpipe? I am really thinking about getting one for my 2016 535i, but of course I would need the EWG version and RVG seems to be the only one out there that I can find that of good quality. This is to go along with the the AFE cold air intake, G-plus stepped intercooler and VRSF down pipe I installed. Plus, I just got the MHD super license. Great thorough videos.
If my exhaust is OEM would this catted downpipe change the sound and make it too loud for the cabin? 🤔
Sounds good. Doesn’t sound much diff from mine running a catless DP. I’m EWG. Btw who makes the diffuser you’re running? Thanks.
Diffuser is here, but the fitment isn’t great. Had to use zip ties in the corners for them to stay seated.

Sounds good! 👍
Thanks!
Great video! Any highway drone with this catted Downpipe??!
Nope. I love it
Hey Grant... About ready to hit the "buy now" button for the rvg catted downpipe for my 2013 535i. I know you have one, so since you've had yours for a while now do you recommend it? Also since I have Valvetronic mufflers will I notice much of a sound difference compared to my stock downpipe? And lastly how about any actual performance gains? I do have the MHD full license setup running stage 1, but sometimes I crank it up to stage 2+. Just wondering if it's a performance gain I will feel?? Oh yeah have you done a tranny flash? I just bought the XHP flash kit and all I can say is wow. Stage 3 is a night and day difference especially in sport plus.. Hope to hear back from you. I value your opinion.
Thanks for all your work!!
Hey, yeah you will notice a sound difference with the catted downpipe. It’s not a crazy difference, but it is present. I don’t have any performance data regarding the downpipe, but it will definitely help.
Yeah, I have xhp as well. Love stage 3, it is definitely night and day. I am actually considering getting a custom xhp tune.
I’ve only got a muffler delete done as of rn. Will I be able to actually tell a difference in noise is I add this high flow catted ? Definitely want some more noise.
Want to know the same before I purchase haha
How do these pipes compare to the extremely similar looking Racing Dynamics pipes?
They both use 200 cel but the RD advertise the type of cat being used. Any word from RVG on what level of quality cat they use?
I know nothing of Racing Dynamics. I’ve never heard of them. I have checked into the quality of the cat, however I know every other part of the construction is top notch.
Whats up boss…when you installed you intercooler did u change boost pipe also??
I just got intercooler not sure if i have to upgrade boost pipe to aluminum…
You don’t have to, but it’s a nice upgrade. I picked up a RVG set.
I’m confused don’t u have 2 cats on each side that u have to replace or just one cause I have 2 so I think I need to downpipes but I’m not sure.
Inline 6 only has 1 cat.
Would you also recommend a charge pipe to go along with the high flow downpipe?
if you are going for stage 1, ect... you should for sure consider going for a new charge pipe, the oem charge aint gona hold up with the increase in power and will break eventually. : )
Exactly! Chargepipe should be your first upgrade.
Greetings, did check engine turn on with that downpipe?
Unsure. My car was already tuned for the previous catless downpipe.
I’ve had this pipe for close to 2 months now and it’s been so ridiculously hot in Dallas that I haven’t been able to get it installed yet. And every shop I’ve gone to tells me they won’t mess with it because of the turbo. Any ideas why they would shy away from this? Your install makes it look relatively cut and dry, so I don’t get it!
That’s weird. Why would they not install it because of the turbo?
@@JohnsonMotorsports not entirely sure. Hoping it starts cooling down and then I’ll just do it myself 🤣 Your previous install is basically the same as for this pipe, correct? No major issues with fitment (except our bodies under the car 🤣)?
@@xbeautifuldiscordx Exactly! It’s really not a bad install.
Thank you for the great video! I realize this is an old video and you may not read this, but you were smart to upgrade to a catted downpipe because there appears to be NO benefit to installing a catted downpipe, unless you prefer less HP & TQ while inhaling toxic exhaust fumes in the cabin. To see a real-world, same-day comparison of catted vs catless downpipe DINO results, check out CZcams channel "Vancity Audi" (Vancouver BC) and watch the video titled "Does a Catless Downpipe Make More Power Than a Catted Downpipe? Audi B9 S4". 👍
Yeah, I love my high flow downpipe. I’m getting too old for the catted downpipe smells.
Hello friend i just want ask ur last video u install the m steering n paddle shifter n how to make the paddle shifter working n need wiring n bimmercode right?
The wiring should already be there. Should just need to code.
Code with bimmercode?
Bcoz my original steering dont have the paddle n im planing to install the m Steering with paddle shifter
Yes, I would try with Bimmercode first. That’s the easiest. When I installed mine, I had already coded my car with Esys for the DEC switch and sport transmission. So it’s hard for me to say what actually worked.
Did you do a resonator delete on your vehicle?
No. Added electric cutouts and the downpipe the rest of the exhaust is stock.
Is the remote start feature standard on these cars?
No sir. I have a Bimmertech remote start installed.
I want to do work on my 2014 740li too bro
What’s stopping you?
Nothing, I'm planning on wrapping it satin gun metal black and lowering it on 20 inch black rims maybe vossens .
@@deenojiren7979 That will be awesome!
do you plan on selling your old dp by any chance?
I have it listed for sale.

can i install high flow downpipe without a tune?
Unsure. My car was already tuned with MHD for my previous catless downpipe.
I was going to order one of these to replace my VSRF catless on my 2011. Question here is do you still have to uncheck the "factory cat" option in the tune to disable the CEL? Reason for change is I don't want to have to swap the DP out every year for inspection.
I honestly don’t know, I’ve been tuned for catless downpipes for years.
Thanks. Same but I've never tried bringing it for inspection this way. I've always just swapped pipes for a few weeks with the OEM one. It's getting old haha.@@JohnsonMotorsports
Yeah, I live in Oklahoma. They did away with vehicle inspections 25 years ago.
What exhaust do u have?
Stock exhaust, the RVG High flow down pipe and electric cutouts.

I have the rvg pipes in finally but I cannot hear any of the turbine whistle 😢. So odd. These turbos must be tiny.
Yeah, they are small. 😂
Any difference in exhaust note? Does it sound louder inside cabin?
@@teknodogg Louder then the Catless Downpipe? I would say no.
Any Check engine light?
Unsure, I had already coded out the CEL with the catless downpipe.
I need a valtronic motor as well
Yeah, I’ve done it once. Still watching this one, maybe a battery issue.
@@JohnsonMotorsports I'm debating with 218,000 miles it's running very good I've gotten everything done to it it's a 2011 I'm thinking about getting another one in October
@@jeromepatten8763 Nice! Have you done all the maintenance yourself?
My shop attempted to install these but the lower Brackets are off by inches. The top Brackets only fit 1 of the 2 bolts on both sides.
Are you sure you purchased the correct downpipe? I’ve installed 4 of these pwg downpipes and I’ve never had a single one that didn’t line up properly.
@JohnsonMotorsports I ordered the correct pipe, maybe they sent the wrong one. Either way, I'm out almost $1100 in addition to the pipes.
How??? What year and model do you have?
@@JohnsonMotorsports 19 m850 coupe. I had the pipes ceratoke coated as well.
Interesting. I don’t know anything about that model. Have you reached out to RVG?
U need a tune with the down pipe right
No, but you will get a check engine light. The tune will avoid the check engine light and let you increase power to take advantage of the free flowing exhaust.
@@JohnsonMotorsportswhat tuner do you have? I finally got this installed and getting CELS now with my MHD Stage 2 tune and can’t get it to go away
That’s weird. Did you select catless downpipes in the tune options? That should be all you need.
My tuner is David Shoup.
@@JohnsonMotorsports no I stuck with OEM because it’s still a catted pipe. MHD only has options for OEM or Aftermarket Downpipe
Then I would choose Aftermarket. The Highflow catted downpipe has a lower cell count.
I haven't even finish the video I'm pretty sure the note is lower
😂
Ngl i just installed catless dp on my f33 and the smell is already getting to me🫤
It's fun to drive but the smell messes up the experience
Can the aftermarket high flow catted pass the emissions test?
Honestly, I’m not sure. We don’t have inspections in Oklahoma. They did away with them 30 years ago.
