The E84 got neutered sound wise with it's muffler. I am full straight through, to the stock muffler and it's nowhere near this loud. In fact, just a muffler delete with the rest stock was louder than stock muffler only. I opened mine up for the PE mod, but the insides are totally different than the E8x and E9x 35i
what’s your settings for mhd? do you have burble turned on and if so i need the settings😮💨
One of my favorite sounding burbles on an OEM car is that of the 911 GT3, so I tried to replicate that as much as possible and I found that Soft/0.6 seconds is what gets me close to that.
Damn I miss driving mine😢 its been parked in the garage for a month now
@TOOEURO. I am tackling a whole bunch of maintenance by myself overhauling the power steering system, oil filter housing gasket, had a massive oil blowout while driving from the oil cooler lines giving way, going to do some upgraded lines and other basic maintenance. Its just time is that I don't have.
Curious, why catted dp vs non?
the primary reason is (for my ears and taste) a catted gives the exhaust more character. Catless to me just sounds like a straight through exhaust and tends to lose the deeper tones which i find more appealing. second would be the smell. i hardly ever notice smell off the catted.
Hey dude, whats been done to it? The gear shifts sound so good and so damn fast
@@jakegoldberg8941 DCT* Also sounds like it has XHP stage 3, thats pretty much the only mod you can do to these boxes to make them more responsive.
@@LilMilkcrate Its an E82 buddy. So it comes with the DCT similar to what the V8 E92 M3 came with and the M cars. For some reason its one of the only M lite cars that actually had the best gearbox at the time.
But yeah its just a Stage 3 xHP DCT from my guess anyways. I have the same myself and it seems the same.
What’s the exhaust setup?
HF Catted DP and resonator deleted and replaces with custom Y pipe. Stock muffler with valves set to open.
Really enjoying your build journey thus far. Can’t wait to see more.
What damping settings are you running on your ST XTAs ? What’s the ride quality like on the street ?
Thanks bro I appreciate that. Dampening settings were left at what they come with out of the box. So with those settings and having lowered the car with only a finger gap all the way around it feels exceptionally good for a daily driver. 95% of the body roll is gone and it actually feels more comfortable than the M-sport suspension. The roads are very nice here in California but on some of bad ones it still felt comfortable at this damp setting. Felt so good when I did a canyon run. However i would like to tighten it up a few clicks.
