I've been replaying this video so many times, just because of that super cool transition from cutscene straight into battle!
Ismail Abd Khalil that fight with Anima though
I think the Havoc Sky Tank had a better transistion

beat the game last night, such a masterful story, barthandelous was brilliant. Seymour was always #1 baddie till this guy came along and showed me power, and impact upon my door steps. This guy was awesome. Replaying the game for the ride.
Sephy fan here....but Kefka had that 1 line i could never forget "wait , do i look like a waiter ?"....Barthandelus just typical manipulator behind the scenes...the only memory he ever gave me was nightmare fuel of wiping on him non-stop...well dont remember ff13 well so can't rly rate him......Seymour well nothing truly memorable about him for me and ffx story is well remember unlike ff13...prob should replay ff13 someday as well as try out ffxiii - 2(never played the second game of 13)
I love how expressive Barthandelus is at 3:48. He's one of the best characters from this game.

I have to say, that was excellent. You don't waste any time while constantly selecting actions. That is crazy!

Its Cool the fact that Barthandelus uses 1 type of Build each battle.
1st battle: Elemental Damage and Multiple Targets form.
2nd Battle: Debuffs and Dispel for Disrupting Party's consistence leaving them vulnerable for Thanathousian Laughter.
3rd Battle: Raw non-Elemental Damage, but including Some bangers like Ultima and His Signature Thanathousian Laughter.

I dont know about the rest of you, i only got half way through final fantasy 13, i had the limitied edition copy and the limitied edition book, i went on holiday and didnt come back to the game =/ but i regret it, because watching the cutscenes without playing the game i feel like im cheating myself, and when you play these games you really feel like the cutscenes are valuable and you earned the rights to watch them! Even more than a real movie! For me atleast!

@Dragon20942 At first, they are kinda "synched" to the song, but after a while, they're not. I noticed that on the second barthandelus fight(I took more than 20 minutes)

@Trilink2 Cocoon is still inhabited, the exception is Bodhum. NORA built a replacement on Grand Pulse. As for Eden, don't know, don't care. Other cities are fine.

my god this fight, i beat it on my first try i knew what i was going to do and it worked. id already watched videos of his fight so i could see a pattern but holy crap i didnt expect him to be that easy XD
try him again underleveled ;) that be a whole different story...go forward non-stop without sticking to an area to level up some...that fight made me wipe so much cause my characters would keep dying due to being super low lvl..if i remember right my hightest hp character was 4.5k....but its been so long since i last played that i could be remembering the hp amount wrong....but speeding trough was an awful idea that much i remember..this guy wiped the floor with me so much cause of it
has anyone but me noticed that Snow keeps running into Barthandelus's force fields in anger every time they are about to battle him?
I did not see Barthandelus stay one solid color this whole fight...

I use hope to join the party for synergist :v and I dont use him,I want try him final resort -_-
I had Fang lightning and hope for this fight...somehow I was able to fight an adamantoise and got Fang and light their ultimate weapons so when I staggered him I used army of one to 999% then switched to Tireless Charge

You have to wonder... what was the point of sealing the exit? I highly doubt they could get back up there. Unless there was some kind of mechanism or stairs... highly doubt it.
@cokeeeater u save, and then u continue from the last save point, with more room for your crystarium.

@CommanderSavage Its probably to put a spin on things because everyone sees them as holy beings that enforce good wills and beliefs into the people. You could say the same that the darkness always prevails for the most part, then the good guys win. (Bad example, but whatever.

@owensdevone I beat Barthandelus AND Orphan, like, months ago and I got them on the first try, too. When I started this fight (from the video), my Lightning had like 15000 HP, so it got even higher when I fought Orphan. The only thing I need to do now is to beat all the missions.

It's about time that Square Enix gave us an old man as a Final Fantasy villain. I hope we see more old men, or manly men in armor as villains instead of androgynous villains

@NightWishMarch2008 you'll get there dude just keep hammering those creatures and there are a few missions that if you do them over and over you get easy cp for a 20 second fight.
The second form was so difficult for me...

A stupid question: What happens after you defeat the boss? I mean like if you defeat him and finish the game, do you continue from the last save spot then? And if so, then i have made a terrible mistake..
If you defeat the final Boss, the Cristarium will get stage 10. After the save, you continue the game in the last corridor.

@CommanderSavage Yes, every FF game has a message about many things in society, and religion is in A LOT of them! this is one of the many reasons I love FF games so much and people don't understand because they never pay attention to the stories just because they see the gameplay as "weird" and "too complicated" or don't like the character art or whatever...I always tell them they're missing out big time!

If opulence returned to my church these artists would be building those pretty temples for us... I'm nostalgic about it... I want it to be terrible and opulent... I want it to feed those stunningly gorgeous minds again... Leonardo, Michelangelo, Bernini... Isamu Kamikokuryo, Tetsuya Nomura... I want my church to buy your talent and souls and bodies and turn you into legendary artists, even if you leave the so called easter eggs here and there once in a while!

Yeah I beat it, I found it easier to use Light, Vanille, and sazh. The guide says to use Light,Fang and hope. Good game, sad its over :(
@CommanderSavage Grandia 2 did that, but FF games don't usually portray religious figures. The bad guys usually rule the countries. So I guess FF games have something against corruption in politics?

I'm still at chapter 11 but my Fang has already like, 1100 strength and with Lightning I'm coming up at 5000 HP. I wonder, can I beat this bastard? :P I like to train when I mute the game and put on some music...
