Inspired by Dharmapuri SubbarAya Iyer's 'Parulanna MAta', this piece depicts the nAyika's rollercoaster of emotions after discovering her Lord's dull, tired face claiming that he may be hiding something from her. Or was he bewitched by another woman's enchanting intoxicating words? Before she allows her prANa nAyaka to step in the house, she makes him promise not to listen to the words of others.
