I actually had no idea that the rate of aggressive expansion decay was related to improve relations modifier. Thank you for the information!
Several years ago they combined a variety of modifiers into improve relations - before ae and improve relations were separate
"I will get to it" me when I tell myself I will finnish the EU4 mod I have been working off and on for a year
What's the mod?
SHE QUAR ON MY BITS CALL THAT GAMING
🔥💯
Eu4bit gameqarb back at it again, cheers mate
thank you the hognid
9:45 over 1k hours never knew this existed
I also wish i knew this before 14:24
it's not a story the Jedi would tell you
@@QuarbitGaming 2.5k hours here. I also had no idea. Absolutely brilliant, Quarbit.
That being said, your war exhaustion when you core provinces makes me have an OCD seizure.
12:10 they changed it, enperor can form Germany but doing so dismantles the empire
I was just thinking that I would have restarted and then you spoke my mind lol 😂 good job keep it up bro
I know my audience well lol
Brandonberg-Prussia has a special place in my heart. Awesome vid Quarbit
“Sweden getting Burgundy is so cursed”
That’s happened to me in 3 different games. The worst was a Savoy game where I was already rivaled to Sweden…
Doing a Lubeck run myself 😊 Happy gaming Mr. Quarbit! 😁
hell yeah, you should try turning dalaskogen into the gold mine that lubeck gets in their tree
32:20 "I don´t think I´ll win that"
King be like: "Fine I´ll do it myself"
This is really cool actually. Also your German pronunciations are on point! Beeindruckend :D
Naja, ich habe ein paar Deutschkurse an der Universität belegt 👀

Poland taking part of Neumark is just straight up mean.
What I find works for estates is keeping loyalty equilibrium above 50% while also having the mana bonuses if possible. Once those are settled I’ll typically focus on any other privileges that I find helpful within the situation I start. Noble Generals comes to mind. It’s pretty standard across my starts barring any mission tree requirements.
You're not crazy, Espionage is an entirely valid early group for Prussia. The way I see it for Prussia is Offensive/Espionage is your go-to if you want to fly through forts and expand more rapidly, Quality/Innovative if you're setting up for mid-late game space marine memes, and something/Diplomatic/Administrative if your priority is 'smoother' expansion.
Gotland into hasa into Prussia for 10% more discipline
8:50 Yo QG ,just in case you didn't know the Bohemians have an elector monarchy by default so they'll often have the dynasty of one of their neighbours.
Fun spicy fact about that that may or may not have been patched by now: If you are playing as them and get reelected as the HRE emperor you get 10 IA but if you then choose to elect a different king you get reelected *again* and get another 10 IA, they're arguably the quickest revoke with that aspect.
Still not patched.
Poland, steals Neumark.
Brandenburg: "wanna be my fwiendo? OwO"
Poland: you're a bit special kiddo
Historical reenactment of what happened in this game.
now watch until the end
@@QuarbitGaming I did, I have no idea how you manage to salvage situations like that xD great Video!
Part 2 should come you already got. the likes
standart player: "Omg im doing pretty good as brandersburg"
me who plays too much as brandenburg: "Omg, not even has prussia and latvia in 1500? Neds a reset"
I really love your content because I usually learn something new. I’d put you close to Arumba as far as understanding game mechanics in such a deep way.
2k hours in and I just learned where to find your chance to get a cardinal
you flatter me, but I consider myself far below someone like Arumba in skill
I'm at 4.3k hours and never knew that. Makes one wonder how much else is left to discover.
Glad you're dropping more short-form vods, the streams are a little too long for me
I wasn't trying to transition to stream-only, I just had production delays lol
@@QuarbitGaming word! Either way dude glad to hear things have cleared up for you.
btw the bohemian rebles did not turn into Zelots because they where at 40% if you spent mil mana to lower the progress to below 30% they would have changed over
ah that's why
well maybe that's a good thing, fighting poland while trying to convert would maybe not be a great idea lol
Setting your attitude towards a nation to friendly on top of getting +50 opinion makes them leave a coalition faster
I really like to get the reform progress, tax and trade modifiers from the estates
You should have released the Teutons as a vassal in Neumark to get Draumburg
The province has the wrong culture to release TO
@@bpulver94 incorrect. you need same culture group, not culture
If you full annex (not vassalize) a country you get their vassals and colonies, but personal unions (Like Saxony's union over Thuringia) are liberated.
3:10 and this is why you buy it
I’ll give you the like now even though we both know you’re coming back
🤝
Bro didn't know they updated brandenburg/prussia in domination even though it was a side selling point of the dlc, brruuuhhh...
👀
I was listening to this video in the background on my second monitor as noise for a while. It took until I paused the video to realize there was someone in the corner... honestly, jumpscared me. I did not expect an EU4 vtuber.
Quarbbiiinnnnnggggg!!!!!!!!!
The Handsome Knightly Royal Prussian VTuber
With Brandenburg I always pay back two of the loans to loans from the Burghurs so I get the Sale of Neumark event. You need fewer than 4 loans for it to fire.
well I took the loans out after going to war with them
@@QuarbitGaming I saw the Burgher estate loans before you unpaused.
I would have restarted if that was me
16:45 because it wasn't a vassal, it was a PU. You don't get enemy's PUs if you vassalize an enemy.
Imagine not skipping Prussia straight to Age of Exploration HRE
if u form the Hanse before Prussia u can get a permanent 5 Dicipline from the Hanse Mission Tree ☝
Yeah but thats meta gaming.... not everyone wants to do that
Espionage is my favourite idea group in eu4 the siege abilty advaiser dicount and corruption reduction
Btw Separatists only change to religious zealots when the rebel progress is 30% or lower, it's the kind of niche knowledge that's occasionally useful
I do my estates exactly the same except I don't take the +1 extra dip point and take religious culture from clergy instead leaving me with 10% crownland so I don't lose autonomy when I'm at peace.
25:15
"Henceforth, promoting a culture will reduce our AE by 3"
This does sound quite gamebreaking, tbh.
Also full annexing a nation gives you their vassals, vassalizing does not do that. PUs are released either way.
2.5/fing do it!
The rebels will change to religious rebels if the progress is 20% or lower. So next time you harsh treat the rebels to under 20% and voila!
I don't fuck with estates cause I'm too stupid. : )
But except for this patch i've had people be not outraged and yet stay in the coalition something appears to be broken
it's not broken, you just have to wait for a few years to pass since they've joined.
the AI only makes that check once every few years, OR when you boot the game up, hence the exploit I was mentioning
@@QuarbitGaming right it used to do it instantly so they must have changed it
So why exactly did you go hussite?
good meme
@@QuarbitGaming ah. Valid
I’ve actually never formed Prussia lmao, I always go way too hard as brandenburg and get coalitioned to death
as long as you're friends with austria and france, that should be avoidable right?
@@QuarbitGamingI’m bad at the game
understandable
average eu4 players conversation
I think you were thinking of forming Prussia as HRE emp which is basically not possible because of the religion requirement
nope, I was right. I checked a video I made from 2 years ago and it explicitly says "Is NOT the Emperor of the HRE" in the requirements.
they definitely changed it sometime between then and now
27:16 you need to have rebbel progress under 30% to change them from separatists to zealots, they were at 40% so you can't chenge them. Also isn't Teutons into Prussia better and easier?
already played teutons a lot, can't be bothered (and it's not quite the same)
Strongest opening, literally gets the worst opening RNG xD
strongest *I've* ever had 😏
16:40 - You did not get Thuringia as a vassal after fully annexing saxony because you only take vassals, colonial nations and tributaries after full annex. Thuringia is under a PU.
I find it worthwhile to use the transfer subject ability from espionage or discovery age objective. The upside of using espionage is that you can pick the -10% agressive expansion age bonus first.
Anyway, taking a vassal this way costs 50% ae less. Only real downside is the 200 diplo cost. Anyway, I suggest to take thuringia with a transfer subject for a good ae price next run.
honestly forgot they were a PU, I thought they were a vassal
Why avoid dev pushing the Renaissance? A 30-dev city is one of the easier age milestones to get, and its good for the economy to have a huge city (said this to a comment earlier than 13:52)
Should have put a time stamp 😂
