Rich from Too Fat Lardies is back for another black powder skirmish game of Sharp Practice.
This time we're delving into some 18th Century Mitteleuropa warfare between two German duchies; Studelheim versus Asbach.
In this scenario the forces of Strudelheim have got their hands on a "Wunderwaffe", or miracle weapon, which they are attempting to activate to destroy the Asbach's castle.
Can Justin's forces of Asbachs hold Rich back?

Another great battle report, but unfortunately there was one huge rules-overlook: Rich even mentioned it briefly at the time, but both the Fisticuffs dice differentials for receiving a charge unloaded (-2D per Group) and being of inferior quality (-2D per Group) get left out in the final calculation. I think only Justin's Dragoons were Regular and/or loaded, which means that Justin would have been rolling 10-12 fewer dice during the first round of combat! That difference alone probably would have been enough the the Strudelheimers to handily take the Croats' position in the orchard.
But even with that aside, this was a rousing great battle report, and I look forward to seeing more of them. I always love when Rich makes an appearance at BoW!

Haha, me too. I just played a game where that quality difference meant THE difference in the game. Rich should have taken the orchard. Felt like they were hurrying a little at the end. But no matter - wonderful report. anyone know if the army lists for these forces are posted somewhere?
Great video more please, Rich is great and the game rules seem brilliant. Will be buying the ruleset I think asap.

52:08 double 6s means 2 kills. Rich rolls a miss rolled dice and changes one of the 6s to a 5 and announces "That was Handy!" Only one Kill and one shock. Hmmmmmm.
Even worse, he rolled a 5, and a 6 turned into a 1, so it would have been 2 6s and a 5, so that would have really messed him up :P

love watching theses battle reports, only gripe is that dice changing tower when they collide.
Have you played a Sharp Practice game Solo on CZcams ? I know it involves, possibly extra interrupts during the move but anything that will add extra chrome to a game as time constraints aren’t the same with solo games.
