    If the black raptor would have aired down before getting stuck he would not have got stuck my guess

    I love my land rover, but I just bought a f150 powerboost, I will be using. These people seem like they just don't air down. Its a lot of fun to drive in the sand!

      A lot of people are just more concerned about getting unstuck, which is understandable. Most of my straps get destroyed at the ends where I hook them up.

    fseries to heavy just the same as any large truck, also have to take tire pressure down to like 10psi 15 for sand.

      Sometimes the sand is hard especially after a really high tide or storm and other times 4wds get stuck. A lot of people tell me how they have driven out here without getting stuck in the past. I believe them because of the various conditions day to day.

    Put some water under the tires and that creates traction. Also who the heck buys 2wd trucks lol

    • @Land_Raver
      @Land_Raver  Před 2 měsíci

      The majority of trucks sold in the US are 2wd. If they had a bucket, the ground would probably dry up before they got back with another bucket of water. The sand is 135 to 150 f in the summer. And even if they got a little further, they would just get stuck again. Australian guy did a good video on it a few years ago. You're better off digging yourself out.

    I wonder why the rover doesn't get stuck. Is it because they are lighter.

    • @Land_Raver
      @Land_Raver  Před 3 lety +3

      It's not all that light at 5,000 lbs. The traction system keeps all the tires spinning. I don't spin the tires if I'm not moving forward. It's got great ground clearance. Coils springs help keep the wheels from bouncing. Even weight distribution. Lower tire pressure. All that factors in.

    • @PNWLiving1725
      @PNWLiving1725 Před 2 lety +2

      Really, lowering the tire pressure is so important, you can see it in the trail that it makes, it is like floating on sand.

      They can afford these 50-80k trucks but refuse to spend 1-200 bucks or so for a solid, portable air compressor.

    • @Land_Raver
      @Land_Raver  Před rokem

      They don't even need a compressor. They can air up about 10 miles down the road for $1.50. I drive all the time on 15-20 psi. Doesn't hurt anything.

    Are you using front and rear lockers?

    • @Land_Raver
      @Land_Raver  Před 3 lety

      No, it's Rovers traction system. It uses the brakes to slow the wheel that slips. It uses an abs pump and accumulator to apply the brakes so no need for a brake booster. The center differential has a viscous coupling to send power equally between front and rear.
