@KeithCPerry Sometimes they do get stuck and end up spending the night or half a day waiting for someone to come along. We have recovery groups on Facebook that help people out when no one is around.

I aired down a few 2wds that were stuck in the same spot. Always helps to air down all 4 tires between 15-20 psi.

@aknadiri2520 All the crew cab trucks are within about 300 lbs of each other during that year model. It was definitely a 2wd though.

@@Land_Raver One piece of rope designed to stretch 30% to help you towing, when you use 3 pieces of rope you're stretching 90% losing energy on stretching the ropes not on towing.

​@SHA3BOL1 The kinetic part of a kinetic strap is that the energy is stored when stretched keeping constant tension betwee me and the towed vehicle. It doesn't matter if I had 10 straps, they would only stretch enough to absorb the energy I use to pull. No energy is lost when you use a kinetic but it is stored in the stretching action.

@@Land_Raver You need little bit of flexibility if it gets more than what you want it will work like bungee cord

@SHA3BOL1 I've pulled thousands of cars out of the sand and I've never been pulled backwards. That would only really happen to a light vehicle with an oversized kinetic that pulled way too hard.

@karman2020 I try not to air down people below 15 psi. I've aired them down to 10psi before telling them to take it easy, and the next thing I know, they are doing donuts and blow the tire off the bead.

No. Just think about all the cars that drive through salted roads. They manage to survive.

@@Land_Raveryou obviously don’t live in the salt belt. Our cars are destroyed here in the north due to salt.

@LivingTheDream77 But there is a difference. Ruined being unusable. But cars even in the rust belt manage to drive for a decade or more.

@EnjoyFirefighting Most of the Texas coastline is barrier island. We have around 365 miles of beach to access with only a small portion of area that is suitable for parking lots and crossovers. We do have those setups in some areas. So that's why we access most of the beaches by driving. No ownership of the beach is a Spanish concept. All of our beaches are designated as Texas Public Highways, except where they have made exceptions.

@@Land_Raver thank's for the quick reply; I've never seen beaches where people drive on myself - although I've seen them online in various places. Here beaches are usually pull of people, especially along the Baltic Sea coastline. Along the North Sea coastline there are some beaches, but not with nice sand like at the Baltic Sea, or like in the video. Along the North Sea there's the wadden sea which makes it impossible to drive through with normal vehicles, even for emergency services

You're welcome. Yes, we have a unique situation along our coastline. It is very similar to a lot of Australia's coast where you have a beach and small dunes behind it.

@@Land_Raver that's the same situation with most of our coastline, apart from short sections with cliffs instead of dunes. Even outside the cities the sandy beaches are full with people as far as the eye can see for miles

Lets respect our beaches and the rights to drive on them , Texas open beaches act. Leave them better then you found them. Peace.

@bradleystevens2956 Supposedly, the parks board closed down all the west end entrances. I imagine it's still hard packed. Maybe I'll head to matagorda this weekend.

@@Land_Raver Matagorda was wide and hard packed yesterday up to about 3 miles N, not enough cars to get stuck...thats tough on your CZcams enterprise..

@elTripaSeca Maybe on a smooth beach for 100 yards. Throw in some small mounds and it's going to be a rough ride. 4x4 will allow you to drive with caution. The beach is littered with air dams, bumpers, engine covers, and other parts from cars that were driving too fast and bottomed out.
