Chris bike is as low as possible with a 17" front rim and his exhaust doesn't come close to hitting the ground during his launches, so he wouldn't have benefitted from a flat oil pan and sidewinder for ground clearance. As much as chris dyno bikes, don't you think he would've put a brocks sidewinder on the bike long time ago if it made a considerable difference? But a lowered lightened gas tank that's only made for the gsxr isn't fair

You cannot go out and buy a brand new gsxr 1000 with a carbon fiber tank and that custom seat. You must not race because a carbon fiber tank makes a huge difference in gain a advantage. Less weight means faster time. Low body position helps with 60ft and more mph.
My personal machine: All CF K6 Zuke 1k good Sir. It was clearly a joke to break the tension of this ridiculous argument. The point is a CF tank IS NOT all CF, it's aluminum internals. You must not race if you think a fuel tank can be all CF including the internals! Lower body is only as good as the height of the wind screen. A cut oil pan on the other hand IS A HUGE ADVANTAGE as the machine is able to be MUUUUCH LOWER over all, thus less squat on launch and almost 0 lift of the front wheel on lunch!

Them aftermarket swing arms are not stock just like the tank so whats the problem i cant buy a stock zuke or socki with a stock extended swing arm.. They should switch bikes and run see whos the better rider...

Stock tank only weighs 16lb approx so the huge weight savings have come from allover bike, not just the tank.

You must not race because a carbon fiber tank makes a huge difference in gain a advantage. Less weight means faster time. Low body position helps with 60ft and more mph.
My personal machine: All CF K6 Zuke 1k good Sir. It was clearly a joke to break the tension of this ridiculous argument. The point is a CF tank IS NOT all CF, it's aluminum internals. You must not race if you think a fuel tank can be all CF including the internals! Lower body is only as good as the height of the wind screen. A cut oil pan on the other hand IS A HUGE ADVANTAGE as the machine is able to be MUUUUCH LOWER over all, thus less squat on launch and almost 0 lift of the front wheel on lunch!
Kawi comes with a terrible pan design gsxr comes with one similar too a flat pan

So the tank is not 22lbs lighter but maybe 5lbs at most but being a lower tank is not fair either. So the weight is coming from other areas. Rider weight is just what it is and should have been compared with both riders fully suited as they would ride IMHO.
