it was limited to 10mph not because of sidewalk riding but to limit the damage to your face when you slam onto the pavement after locking the brakes
It balances it out
It's gyro powered.
Regen brakes don’t lock. You’re not wrong about the faceplate though, since 2kW with all that weight to balance there isn’t much leftover power to move fast. The motors are what keeps the thing upright and moves it forward. Can’t do one thing if it can’t do the other.

I just realize, EUC is now happen maybe because of this ? I mean I never knew a "unicycle" type of transportation will be so blow up like today, but I remember knowing this for a long time

Are you still waiting in 2024? If so, have you just gotten an electric unicycle with a seat that does the same thing and is wayyy smaller for apartment dwellers?

The EUC (electric unicycle) made this completely obsolete. Even lowend EUCs that cost $700 could go faster than this thing and far far lighter and mobile

Just looked it up. You have to stand to use it? That's my only complain, I would prefer this as a short distance transport over a standing unicycle that can go faster if I'm at risk of falling over. And, if you want long distance transport you'll most likely go with a car or a flight no matter what.

Thing is tho this one is much bigger and suppose to emulate something that could potentionally be road legal, with some speed upgrades, horn, mirror, it could actually be registered.

Faster and more stable, also don’t require computers to keep them balanced, which until fairly recently in human history, was quite the barrier.

@@digitaltrends $5200 and it only goes 10 mph?!? 😂😂 I'll get a King Song EUC or an electric scooter, for less than half that. Nice idea and I like it, but it has to do at least 20-25 mph and have around 30 mi. range for half the price.

On their site: "Purchase RYNO authorized Lithium Ion batteries, which will enable you recharge your power supply up to 1,000 times or more."
So, you will need to pay extra to only be able to ride for (around) three years if you use it daily. Base model must be less.
*Edit*: Oh and are there factory plans to be able to use new (model) battery packs, on an old RYNO. If I were buying one, those would be my top concerns (besides authorized repair shop).

Electric Unicycles made this look silly, especially since it can only go around 10 mph. EUCs will likely break 60mph this year, as I've seen people hit 57mph.
We've done it.
85mph now. But who is eager to fall off at those speeds? Maybe a teenager who thinks they are indestructable.
Sad they are out of business, the new models may be faster but they suck !

Priorities....With the money for a Ryno, I could buy a decent Kawasaki 650 KLR. I already dug a $1000 Kona out of the trash in very good condition, so I'd be far ahead in the transportation scheme of things.
