@@thescubersteve5214 It is true that he didn't demonstrate it's climbing ability, or it negotiating any irregular terrain, I think it could do those things. What they didn't show, and I have doubts that it could do at all, is to make any sort of controlled turn.

@@michaelharris1843 Balance shifting, but i'd guess it will still be very limited. Would work better with a motorcycle tire - might also be more unstable...

I think its amazing how people can be so creative and come up with ideas like this. But then actually building it is just so incredible.
You may be a total moron if you find this "creative and incredible". It is a distraction that offers no utility or improvement over anything that already exists.
Man, I love this! I'm a 30yr. welder/fitter so I can appreciate what it took to build this. You had a vision n made it happen, skill level through the roof!! Great job on building a serious one-off machine!! Hope to see more!

I'm a machinist and a fabricator too. What I really like is your smooth cuts when you go freehand with the plasma cutter. Mine always look like I had too much coffee.

Just looking at it, steering can be done while leaning back on it. The small footprint allows leaning to either side to steer easily.

When you brake, you slide directly from the seat onto moving parts, castration machine. The momentum when braking forward means that you fly over the handlebars without testicles. Otherwise great job

@@bmxscape ,,, I have cut tires for other purposes. You would be surprised at the toughness of those steel belts, however, there would certainly be a higher rate of 'tread' replacement needed. So what? It only wears out one tire at a time instead of two or four at once. And I am certain that any local tire store could supply one with many used tires, often for free. I have been told to get all you want from those out back with no charge. Good for many a mile on such a mono-track device. I am just too old to build one for myself at 67.

I really like the simple vehicles that don’t have any steering to mess with, like the mono wheel, and now also this. Great videos, keep em up. Also it’d be neat to see you do videos where you take the vehicles you’ve built and test their capability’s in different aspects, like turning/maneuvering , acceleration, deceleration, top speed/cornering speed, off road capability, and so on!

When I was a kid I used to watch monster garage alot and it would inspire me so one day I took apart the lawnmower thinking I could build a gocart with the motor and a shopping cart all I got was in trouble 😂
Good stuff, I imagine you must also be thinking the same thing I was, needs a bigger engine, more speed for sure, but very well built and great craftsmanship, and the video editing was stellar, great job all the way around!
i was thinking maybe a left-right segmented outer chassis, or a left-right segmented wheel pully system to allow tread deformation for sharper more responsive turning.
