i know Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know a method to log back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost the password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
Just wanted to thank you for all the time you spend making these videos for us for free. Your touch on the minis is artwork and I appreciate it very much. Its helped bring another aspect of mini wargaming to life for me, deepening my passion for my favorite hobby. Thanks!
Love your videos Alexandra, I think your style is the one I try to mimic the most when I paint my models. And you inspired me to do more than the "Basecoat + Drybrush" that my Space Wolves Suffered when I first started playing :)
I've never painted anything like this, but you make it look fun and easy. I've just got to try a couple of these. Thanks for the wonderful and informative videos.
I always love the Eldar and Dark Eldar videos, its a shame not so many people collect them, they are such cool armies! Great paint job as always! Weiter so :D
Warm thanks from a beginning painter for these useful lessons. I once hope to make an Eldar army and this was quite encouraging to watch. Herzliche Grüße von die Niederlande!
I love to watch your videos! Thanks for making all of these excellent painting tutorials! Your English is outstanding! I think it's awesome that you're able to explain your techniques so well in a language that is not your first language! Basically, you rock! :D
Nice work on your Eldar Guardian, I rather like the colors of *deep blue and pale grey* and will consider that scheme for my own Eldar project, I'd add some red here and there to make things pop and we're in business! Happy painting!
Your vids are the perfect combination of bad ass artistry and relaxing tutorial. Very happy to have subscribed. Your English is better than some of the people I know, here in USA.
I was hunting for Warhammer ASMR videos today and there are some out there, they are rare and artists don't tend to do another one once they do their first but this video fits the bill.
I was really looking forward to seeing how to handle eldar units where the gun is held so closely, thank you for a look at some of my options. P.S. great video as always.
Im trying to paint about 3,000 points of eldar in the same 2 tone gradient shift as what is shown in the new IA11 book for the Mymeara craftworld. Do you or anyone else have a method for achieving this?
Hello there! I'm new to warhammer, and love the models, and the thrill of painting them! I don't have much experience painting eldar minitures. I've created a color scheme that I quite enjoy, but was hesitating that'd it be too complex to finish. My idea was a black under suite, but the main armor peices base coated white. To many it seems easy, but i'm worried when I color in the undersuit, and due the shading that my white color will be tainted. I'd adore if you give me any advice.
@galderblake Im not sure if Alexandra uses this but a lot of people use a flow improving medium, you can find it on most miniature painting websites. Or just look for an acrylic flow improver. It will really help a lot. Also, try out different types of brushes, hair, synthetic etc. Finding what you are most comfortable with will help a lot.
Hi i'm following your tutorials with much interest, and i have a question about paints. I still have difficulty on thinning them and make them to run smoothly as you did in all of your videos. what is the amount of water/paint in drops that usually you use ?!!?
Hi Alex, I was wondering after watching this video what sort of colours would you use to to paint the Saim-Hann Craftworld colour scheme. Would you undercoat them white or black? I'm not sure if it's just a case of similar to what you were doing using blood red and simply raising the colours through to white or using orange to highlight like some people do. Also would you use the same ink wash for them? I would very much appreciate your input. P.S. Oh and your painting is incredible :)
Alexandra, the Eldar armor have alot of gems because they are the Soulstones of the armor's previous owners. (Atleast I read that about Aspect Warriors somewhere like the Codex or a White Dwarf or something.)
I have been an avid viewer of your videos for a couple years now, and I was just wondering, what do you do with all of the single minis that you don't paint an entire army for? Do you have a cupboard filled with awesome single minis?
Hello, just wanted to say great videos, they really help and inspire. You seem to have ALOT of practice haha, also curious if you would consider Painting more Eldar, sometime in the near future, I would be very happy
i play space marines but i get bored with all armys i but so i went on this website and i had to do questions and at the end it would show you what your results where and mine was eldar so on my birthday im getting a battleforce, codex, a leader havont decided yet and the paints you used
Always a treat to watch you paint. I know it must feel silly to keep repeating the steps you take when painting but, it REALLY helps! Thank you! Also, How long have you been able to speak english? You speak it very well!
Congratulations for your painting skill, your model looks awesome! I had a hard time trying to understand a few things you said though, I think you should try to speak in a clearer tone.
Yeas they are, but they are way too dominant around the players. It is more fun for everyone if there are other armies around than just marines to play against. That is why I said to pick some other than marines.
yes i used here GW paints, but this video is SOOOOO long ago that those paints are not to buy anymore. just compare them to what you have and take the closest aproximation. picking the absolute exact paint is irrelevant in painting miniatures if you don´t need a 100% match
@@izakawesome8661 well, games workshop will always sell paints ;) i suggest you rather stick to the more recent paint range then buy something where you can not get a refill ;-)
Hm... Color scheme looks similar to your all-awesome wings of fury marines. If you are making eldar paint videos, have you ever painted avatar of khaine? I have my one, painted but others may need help and tips with paining
I'd love to create an army of Guardians; the models have always been some of my all time favs! They're 12" range guns suck arse though, that's one of the major issues I have with them rules-wise. I wouldn't mind if they had 18" range like the Dire Avengers, though, so I suppose I -could- just use them as Dire Avengers? xP. Obviously without the weapons platform and such.
Try taking them in squads of 20 with a shuriken cannon or maybe a scatter laser. Ya, the 12" range sucks, but in 6th you can overwatch with em, and they might actually do something with all those shots. I'd use em in cover or around cover, as a biiig pool of wounds. Put a warlock in with em and give em Conceal for the 5+ cover (invulnerable against most shooting weapons). Idk, that works for me. Just a suggestion.
Great video. Your English is on a par with UK people or better in most cases. Kudos to you for doing vids in languages other that your native. Maybe one day German will be just as good (its not likely ;) )
@OsightblinderO I've posted this comment during the first blue basecoat, but 20 mins later she answered herself :) Watching what she does on preparing paints for shoulder pads gave me some good diluting tips, but i still haven't tried cause lack of time to do so. I'm using synthetic martora brushes and the liquitex flow-aid. The fact is i still have a bad hand on diluting paints :s
@GirlPainting Okay vielen Dank :). Noch eine kleine Frage könntest du mal alle deine farben zeigen und deine pinsel und alles was du so benutzt wär sehr nett und hilfreich. :)
Nice and simple paintjob but these kind of Eldar mini's are kinda boring to paint, same as Space Marines alot of large surfaces and little to no details. But they're good for starting painters to not get overwelmed and can get good results using minimum amount of paints.
This video put me $6700 in debt by introducing me to 40k miniatures.
i am soooooo sorry :-(
GirlPainting Haha, this is a great hobby though. Excellent videos taught me quite a lot of techniques over the years.
Only 6700? You dont have a 'problem' yet...😀
@@adamfox1669 That was 8 years ago tho. :..) Compound interest exists.

Just found out your videos, they're very nice for beginner tips ! And unlike some others they are very accessible.
Warm thanks from a beginning painter for these useful lessons. I once hope to make an Eldar army and this was quite encouraging to watch.

You're really talented. Looks great.
You have an amazing talent for painting miniatures. I can only hope to achieve that level of talent.

also excellent camera work and descriptions! subscribed!

Thank you Alexandra , this video was just what I needed. I actually bought 2 eldar battlebox's. I think you did a great job as always :-)

I most definitely subscribed. Thank you!
wow you have done great well done :)
Thank you!
After watching whis video i realised how much things are missing in my minis!
I started using washes for eldar.
I was really looking forward to seeing how to handle eldar units where the gun is held so closely, thank you for a look at some of my options. P.S. great video as always.
Wow cool!
Holy shit! Your Guardian looks more awesome than mine already at 2:10! I thank you very much for this trick, I shall use it from now on and forth.
Nice tutorial Alexandra
The more of these painting videos I watch the more scared of trying it I become.
