Learn how to make a Colombian Hot Dog while learning about time connectors in Spanish. Linking words or connecting words help you to build a logical argument in your text by linking one statement to another. A text without linking words reads like a series of unrelated statements with no flow.
Linking words can be used to:
- Link the flow of ideas in your writing
Guide your reader towards the next stage of your argument

its currently December 2020 and I've watched so many of these excellent videos but stumbled across this video today.
I LOVE this style of video.
I'm still a beginner learning spanish.... this style of video is perfect for beginners.
The dialog is relatively simple, it concerns something everyone does such as making something to eat.... and it focuses on a part of language which is incredibly useful in term of beginners learning enough or the right things which will allow us to actually start speaking with others in the target language... the connecter words.
The dialogue in this video would bring anyone a very long way toward being able to interact with someone in español while preparing food in the kitchen with only new words needed for different foods. This is the perfect foundation video.
I wish this could be used as a framework for future videos. I have no doubt that you already have a plan in mind of the videos you produce but this type is really useful and could be used as "filler material" to produce simply and relatively quickly when you want to publish a video but the video you're currently working on is more elaborate and will take a longer time to complete.

Maria, por favor ¿puedes hacer un video sobre los usos de la palabra "lo"? No en la forma de pronombre de objetivo directo, pero en la forma que usado en tu prueba. Como, "hacer más de lo necesario". Veo "lo" usado en esa manera muy frecuentemente, y todavía no estoy cómodo del concepto. Supongo que significa algo como "To do more than *what is* necessary." Pero, si yo significara eso, diría "hacer más que es necesario." Es esta frase correcto también? Me gustaría saber utilizar "lo" en la manera que me confunda. ¡Gracias!
No, Justin. "Hacer más que es necesario" no es correcto. Debería ser "Hacer más de lo necesario". Explicación larga. Definitivamente necesita un video... ese es un tema bien confuso.

Well i know this was long time ago and i dont know if she already covered it or if you’ll see this but the way my teacher said was in spanish they are really good at letting you know what they are talking about example: “yo quiero” direct translate says I I want but in this instance you are referring back to the food at least that’s how it makes sense to me I’m still learning so I could be wrong but that’s my 2 cents

Tenemos un "Conejo de Cincinnati", (Cincinnati Coney) que es un perro caliente sobre un pan al vapor, con una receta favorita de chili con carne, mostaza, cebollas en cuadritos y cubierto con queso cheddar rallado. Algunas personas también han sido conocidas por agregar ensalada de col. Una cerveza de barril fría es opcional, pero muy recomendable. Muy sabroso.

En Inglaterra, un perro caliente es una salchicha (se llaman Frankfurters) dentro de un largo rollo de pan. Los comemos con cebollas y salsa de tomate o mostaza. Generalmente se venden de las camionetas.

How does Colombian Spanish compare to that of other nations? I have heard that Spanish differs greatly from nation to nation. I enjoy the machine-gun rapidity of Mexican Spanish, but I have heard that it is considered "low class" Spanish. I have also heard the Spanish spoken by people from Spain is considered affected and posh. Is any of this right? Where does Colombia rank on this scale? Thank you for great vids. I am glad that they are short enough to watch when I have time and short enough to repeat over and over until I learn. :)

Pero habia un dibujo comico en el periodico en que vendian perros tirujados (dachshunds) en el estadio. Entonces la gente los llamaba "hot dogs." La industria de carne siguio tratando de promover el nombre "spicy hots," pero ay, era sin exito.

Vale, de todo el perro, ¿encontraron esta parte del cuerpo que hacer sándwich?jaja!!
Para mí demasiados ingredientes. Nunca pondría queso de ninguna forma ni pondría un huevo. Para mí el mejor "hot dog" contiene pan, salchicha, mostaza, chili con carne sin frijoles, y cebolla. Pero la mayoría del tiempo cuando yo hago mis propios "hot dogs" simplemente son de pan, mostaza, y salchicha. No soy cocinero., La salchicha es calentado por 30 segundos en el horno de micro ondas y una rebanada de pan normal por 15 segundos. Normalmente hago dos de estos "hot dogs" y los como con totopos de maíz. Esto sirve para mi cena muchas veces.

I have observed that in many places it was said "Le vamos a poner......". Can we use just "Vamos a poner....." in place of "Le Vamos a Poner......."?
rahul statham As far as I understand it, the "le" actually tells you where you're putting all that stuff, in this case the hot dog. Think of it like this: LE vamos a poner = we will give IT/HIM/HER, or put on IT/HIM/HER (depending on your hot dog's gender ;)) Without the "le" you wouldn't know that. I hope this helps, tambien todavía estoy aprendiendo...
