One of the best tours and interviews. He does this for fun and does not take himself too seriously, which is refreshing. Wish I could visit his place when it is high mango season but I am too far away. Long for a good just picked mango.
Yes the star fruit trees are very productive in all fruit tree we call it five fingers in Trinidad and Tobago

If I was young and single mark would of be the perfect man for me my husband is just like him lover of fruits tree and believe in his well water when there is a frost in the winter having the water wetting down the free so our fruit trees do not freeze. Fruitful trees I enjoyed your videos

As some who lives in the desert southwest (zone 7) I find these videos crucial nonetheless. So much great info concerning different cultivars. I grow many aroids (tropical) and am currently getting a large greenhouse setup on my property. I'm going to do my best to create my own system of growing everything from mangos to jackfruit. All in containers, pruned, and HEAVILY fertilized on a consistent basis. I've seen it done to an extent, although not quite the same. I am going to be incredibly methodical with these trees and remain patient. I think I really can get some nice fruit within a few years!

Out of the mangoes in the world, only 2 varieties are in the top in guiness world record. That is saint elena and guimaras mango from Philippines. In the US, we just call them Manila mango or Carabao mango. The varieties you mentioned pales in comparison to that variety.

Don’t know if you’ll read this or not Paul but just some feedback on titling videos - I’m not super into growing mango (almost impossible where I live) so I never watched this video despite it containing many other fruit species. If I knew it was not just a mango video I would’ve watched it the day you posted it 😊

Mangoes are my favorite fruit. Do grow east Indian, julie or bombay mangoes?
Florida is basically sand. Sand doesn't hold water, so you have to keep it moist somehow. Sprinklers don't work well because you waste a lot of water. Microirrigation is awesome for fruit trees because it's very cheap and artesian wells keep that water dripping as much as you want with its own water pressure, all day long. That's what I do. 500 ft. of poly hose will cost you less than 50 bucks and you can add thousands of drippers from it if you like. Very inexpensive and very effective. I have a little more property than this guy and the entire lot is on drippers and I couldn't be happier.

He is a nice guy I presume, but not educated about fungus issues or much else. You were very nice by letting him have his say. Tomatoes damaging the soil for 20 years is just plain nonsense. I have a UF education in IPM and he is not accurate whatsoever. Tropical persimmon is a Southwest Fl persimmon and we all know the name was changed. You obviously let him slide and knew the real truth.
