Yea it's is awesome looking rc rat rod kit I wish I could buy one
I have that aluminum straight axle Man got to have one of these kits
Got my rat rod Chassis kit today awesome dude I am stoked, the body I have don’t think it’s gonna work, I have one of your bodies in my cart just can’t just yet soon as I can I will order
Might just have to get one of these!
I can't wait to get my hands on one of these!
Looks great ! Saw that Harley Designs covered you this week on his weekly update show !
I was looking for this comment.
Mint that publicity is spooling up👍🏻
I saw it there too
Yeah what I’ve been waiting for, this is awesome dude watching now
Everything is better with a Cummins💪🏻😁
Mega that you're living your RC work dream.
I'll probably need to finish my current projects unless you're including a mug that says "I collect projects"😆
Thats a great idea for a mug, lol
@@RCeveryday
Lol👍🏻
Congrats
Thank you …..🍻
I can't wait to pick one of these up. I had a thought for a scale detail; the holes that the micro servo sits in leaves enough room for some more thread in there, so maybe a license plate holder could be made to go on. Maybe with some stand-offs or spacers, but it might look cool and "hide" the servo a bit too.
Really awesome work, this is so cool, thank you for doing this.
I thought about that or even making them spikes just to look cool. But everything interfered with the servo horn moving.
This is an exciting kit, I've been wanting to attempt a rat rod for 5+ years! Thank you for putting this out there. I can't wait to get my hands on one! 🙌
"By we I mean me, because I'm by myself." Lol!!!
Haha the “you can tell it’s an aspen by the way that it is” reference at 28:25
That’s cool you’re offering a kit.
A Monster Truck Rat Rod crawler would be awesome! 🤘
One suggestion is that if you do you power tools to not use an Impact Driver/Drill like that, use a Drill Driver that has _Adjustable Torque Settings_ and turn it all the way down to 1 to start from there. Or you could have a bad day. 😂 👍👍
Man I can’t wait, like I said I have a straight front aluminum axle, I have a Body that a real good friend of mine 3-D printed for me just been waiting for some kind of frame you got me stoked now. I will be watching for
Can not wait for these to drop!!
Looks great! Definitely added to my list for the year!
The front grill to My body sure looks almost like that one so it will work with my body gosh just can’t wait catch on the next one
Getting my list together. Can’t wait!
Yeah back watching again, I can’t help to be excited about this build. Just ordered the R4 Ultimate scale transmission they only had one left on Amazon and it’s heading my way yeah.
Yeah it’s been my dream also for many years when I first started watching you,
I appreciate you, you’re going to make one of my dreams come true.
Well I guess you ain’t got them on site yet just went and looked I will be watching for
These are pretty sweet. You even got a mention on Harley Design's scale news update.
Great job and good luck with the future
great job, cant wait to get one!
Great work man definitely going to look into getting 1 of these, I better get so parts together 😂👊🏼😎🤙🏼🇬🇧💨💨💨
I've been following you from the very beginning congratulations. Try again to messenger you have some spacers that are raw steel would look great on this Rat Rod since they will turn rasty
Ill have to check them out at btc!
NICE 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Hopefully you’ll have some at BTC, might pick one up if you do
I will be buying one as soon as they’re available. I’m already looking for a body
Shapeways had the Rat Rod body, also has a 'tractor grille'
🤘
Wonderin if I can cut one up to fit and work for a minitruck body while using redcat chassis parts🤔
I think this is the coolest thing I've seen outside the Element Crawler. Can't wait till the kits come out. You plan on doing a Model A coupe?
Id really love a coupe body to be next. Just depends on manufacturing costs on the body.
Just ordered my kit! Can’t wait to start building it! Getting all my needed items together and noticed the front Tamiya King Grand hauler custom front semi axle from eBay doesn’t come with the front rod link… what size link, eye to eye, is needed? Thanks! Love what you’re doing, keep it up!!!!
It depends on the axles specifically, some have different spindles, most generic ones are about 5 and 1/4 inch eye to eye. All depends on the rod ends as well. Its so versatile. The cheap ones on amazon work well.
@@RCeveryday ok, I kinda figured I was overthinking it anyways just being excited, I’ll order something and mess with it when I get it, thanks bud!
Does the chassis kit come with hardware?
Is there a way to mount 12mm hex style wheels to the front axle?
There are a lot of ways Ive found to do it. Planning on making a video just on that topic in the coming weeks. There is a bearing adapter for a tamiya buggy that I really like. amzn.to/3neFeBj
I tried to go to your store to check out the kits mentioned in the video, but it said closed for maintenance. Be open soon ?
Its going to be a little while before I have enough product to open it. I only had 50 kits made to start with and I have an even next weekend in kentucky. Working on the next order so hoping to have the store open by the end of May. Still tentative
Will you offer different grills in the future?
Nothing in the works yet but it is possible
I like what you’re doing. It makes sense . I’ve followed you for a long while. This makes sense and I truly wish you well and I’m in like flinn. I am a diy guy but this is super handy shortcut for any of us creative kinds. 👍🏼🦾
Hej from germany, what do you think can we order the kits from these Kentucky shop?
Thx a lot
Oli
I should have them on the website by the weekend
Do you have a link to where exactly those suspension rods to hold the front straight axle on I’m coming up with is all threaded rods
Glad you caught me at the computer! Here are the ones on ebay that are super cheap www.ebay.com/itm/204306974988?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ptuk-E2aTz6&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=URtS7-jqQ66&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
@@RCeveryday Are these the same as you just put on yours that’s what I was looking for, but I did order the cheap ones
Ive got tons of these, not sure where the ones I have came from exactly. But I measured from my build. They are M3
Question the length of the connecting rods for the straight axle to the frame where to get it and the length
They are 100mm rods. Found some cheap ones on eBay. Also used some from the cenracing f450 too they were the right length.
@@RCeveryday What are they called connecting rods, can’t seem to find trying to get my straight axle hooked up
@@RCeveryday I typed in 100mm rods it comes up solid rods cannot find
Look amazing but I don't know what you are are supposed to do with a rat rod RC car besides looking at it.
Its not for everyone, I think its more like the redcat lowrider genre.
@@RCeveryday Oh ok I see, it is still impressive as hell! You're the king of rat rod/scratch builds so I'm happy for you to come out with your own kit. Best wishes man. And congratulations on the release!
Thank your sir! I appreciate it
Where can I get a kit and body? 😊
It will be available on Rceveryday.com in the coming months. Right now I didn’t make enough the first production run. Only 50 chassis kits and 14 bodies. Working on the next round production already.
Why is your website closed?
It will be awhile before I have enough inventory to open it to the public. These are way more popular than I anticipated, only started with 50 kits.
What's the kit price
The chassis kit is going to be $140
Hey how much is the rat rod kit
About 250$ with the body and bed sides… shipping may be more or less
Just bought mine
