He would’ve won both seasons. (IMHO) Benneton were cheating and Ayrton would have been relentless off the track about it. He would’ve beaten them on and off track. Also (as a side note) it took hours after his death for bookies to accept the fact that he wasn’t going to win the season.

The williams in 94 was pretty much a very unstable and hard to drive then the previous year. Yet Senna was driving the hell out of it and manage to tame it thro pure skills and experience. just look how he past Hill like he is standing still... What an incredible Talent.

Senna completely outclassed Hill, and yet, by the end of the season, Hill almost won the title. Williams was still the best team, all it took was some time to put in the work and updates. From Spain on, here are Damon Hills finishes....

@o209 While I agree with Senna's brilliance I don't think he would have easily won 94. Schumi would have absolutely walked it against Damon if he wasn't disqualified from the British GP and then banned for two races. Plus there was the DQ that was quite controversial at the Belgian Grand Prix. I think Schumi in that Benetton absolutely would have beaten Senna at Monaco, so that would have given him 4 wins and a huge advantage....unless we're factoring in that he would also have been banned if Senna was still racing. Anyway, we'll never know but I just don't think it would have been easy for Senna.

Cause I feel like he kinda felt something was gonna happen and the race weekend at Imola was like a story nightmare for him. He sobbed and panicked the whole time. Desperately calling his girlfriend a lot. Talking to the FIA about safety and so on after what happened more then ever. He kinda I think felt his fate was this for awhile and as it came closer and closer this was the result. He even told sid when he asked him to quit saying he is the fastest driver we have ever seen if not ever. He has nothing else to really prove. Senna basically said that he simply couldn’t. There are things which we cannot control. I have to continue. I think he would’ve wanted to quit but he worked so hard his entire life he simply couldn’t and he still loved racing he just didn’t love what was happening. The Williams was a mess at the beginning of the year. A lot of cars were simply cause of the stability issues. I think senna always had high confidence in himself the difference is he didn’t have high confidence in the car anymore. He felt very much out of control and no one really knows or wants to know the helpless feeling he felt when the wheel broke and he went towards the wall with nothing he could do. Those 2 seconds probably felt life forever to him till it was suddenly just over. A lot weighed on senna that year. The break downs he had at imola that weekend was almost like he was desperate and wanted help. Almost like he kinda felt it or knew it. Not only did he feel it but sid said he felt it. Everyone at the time kinda felt it but no one really knew when or what it would be. He said he saw senna fly by his safety car like a bat out of hell not slowing down at all pushing the car super hard. He said right when the red flag came out he just instantly knew it was senna. No one really wanted to race that weekend after what happened before that but everyone felt like they had to. Senna had probably had the worst of it tho cause not only was he just getting really torn apart he also got killed in it. Really had a painful end emotionally. Im not religious or anything but it’s really strange the awareness he seemed to have that his fate was kinda known. He didn’t know exactly when cause if he did he wouldn’t of raced but he felt I think it was soon and it was in a formula 1 car. This may all sound like bs but I think it all kinda plays into how he felt that year. He didn’t seem like senna. He lacked the passion and want but he felt like he was forced to continue no matter what happened just cause he already went this far in his life and made this decision to a team and so on that he had to go into the unknown no matter what happened. It’s just very sad cause I think everyone else would’ve wished the race was canceled and would’ve wished that it didn’t take senna to prove how dangerous that wall was and it didn’t take senna to prove how f1 needs to improve safety and it didn’t take senna for the fia and every team to step back and improve the changes they made to make the cars better for the drivers so this wouldn’t of happened. We all wish he would’ve instead went to fish with Sid but it had to take something for all this change to be made cause that’s how unfortunately dumb the people in charge are. It shouldn’t take crashes to realize the obvious. It shouldn’t of taken a death and many crashes at spa to realize something needs to be done up there. Just like it’s gonna take someone to hit the pit wall at Baku to realize how unsafe it is. It’s just insane how we continue the same patterns.

Schumacher was better this day, but we can't be sure it would be the same in the rest of the season. Benetton barely changed between 93' and 94' as it wasn't depending on Driving AIDS as much as Williams.
Adding to that, Senna was new in his car, he even had problems to fit in the cockpit. Instead, Schumacher was absolutely integrated with his team and car, which produced a very good downforce. Things could change a lot from race 6 or 7 in favour of Senna, BUT...

In fact if you see that Ariel shot of senna in the pits the tub looks like a Leyton house, incredibly narrow. Frank dernie said that Rory Byrne was good at picking aero parts that gave high downforce at low speed, hence the car had massive traction. Apparently an old trick that teams with not much money used. Coupled with Schumacher left foot braking meant he could drive 100% in races, especially now refuelling was allowed
