    Just put my order in for the XLW upper, can't wait to try it out with my 9mm build. Awesome video man!

    Thank you so much for this great overview of your PCC!!
    This is EXACTLY the setup I've been trying to find out more about!
    An EPC9 + 5/16" ULW + their bolt + magnetic buffer setup. You're even running the soft loads I've been wondering about, too!
    Now, I'm inspired to build one of these. Please keep us all updated. And keep up the great work!

    That's a nice rifle, congratulations.
    I went to the JP rifle builder on their site and priced one of their PCC models with the side charge.
    When I got done choosing everything I liked, the price came to $4,400.00; :-) Think I will have to pass on that one, lol.
    LMT is supposed to build a PCC; look forward to seeing it in the future but won't hold my breath waiting!

    I run the CMC 2.5 lb trigger in all of my ARs - 9mm, Tippman .22, CMMG .22 adapter and 5.56. Comes in at 2.2 lbs.

      I love the CMC triggers I prefer single stage 3.5lb flat in all my AR15 but for my 9 I’m trying out an RA Rave 3.5lb flat

    Have you tried Taccom’s air cushion recoil system?? Any idea if it’s worth it or just go with the magnetic system?thanks

    • @jameslaney2097
      @jameslaney2097  Před rokem +1

      I have tried both and like both. The air system will feel softer, but the magnetic will be faster. Really not a bad option between the two.

    I'm worried that my Mlok accessories won't have enough mounting bolt clearance with the Taccom ULW barrel. I also have rubber grips, Ergo Wedgelok, that might make contact with the shroud. Any problems with that? Does the shroud get as how as a regular long steel barrel? I kinda wished I had ordered the thinner XLW barrel, which is listed as being only 11oz!

    • @jameslaney2097
      @jameslaney2097  Před 7 měsíci +1

      I don't have mlok accessories added to mine, but I could see where they may be problematic. I would imagine if you trimmed the screws to where they didn't protrude, you would be okay. For the shot strings that I do, heat has not been a concern. I intentionally avoided the 11oz barrel for a couple of reasons but you would likely have more clearance with that barrel and heat may become more of a problem.

    how do you compare the performance of Taccom MDRS over JP , armaspecs SRS and kynshot ?

    • @jameslaney2097
      @jameslaney2097  Před rokem +3

      Have not tried the SRS, but I have tried the other two. All three work and can feel great. The jp and kynshot feel closer with the jp system being the better of those two and probably the softest of the three. The MDRS has a different feel altogether, and since it has the lightest mass, it is probably going to be the fastest system of the three, but the trade-off to that is a harsher feel. I have had a chance to try everything from 60 to 140power factor loads, and the MDRS is extremely adjustable with not having to buy anything extra.

      @@jameslaney2097 thanks for that info. so JP is for performance and MDRS for light weight?

    • @jameslaney2097
      @jameslaney2097  Před rokem +1

      @marklosentes7988 I wouldn't say it that way, they are both high performance just achieved through different means. Both are capable of shooting very flat(no muzzle rise).

      Normally people don't zero their PCC past 25 yards. So it's hard to tell, but if I am doing half inch groups at 25 yards, that should be 2 MOA at 100 yards.

    Aero didn't tighten the two set screws holding my ejector and It flew out the first time I fired ii and became lost. Aero refused to sell me another ejector and demanded I send them the complete firearm. Also, the Aero bolt does not have the lip at the bottom of the bolt face and will fire out of battery. Do not buy an Aero 9mm bolt!!!!
