He could have left the tunnel in place and done a 90° turn up or down to get around the trees before exiting the mountain. But it wouldn't have been pretty. Though judging from the rest of the map, it wouldn't have been the worst thing there.
I felt it when you said, "It does not take long for this game to go wrong".
One minute you are proud of what you have done and the next minute the game ends lol.
ive had 3 different colored buildings span with their entrances one square apart from each other so i couldnt seperate them and haed to use one single road for all 3

I just figured this out last night. If you can block all 2x3 spaces on the map you force the zoom out. Then delete roads only where you want new destinations to spawn.

Houses don’t go to destinations based on distance. They go based on “connectivity”. So unless it works out in a given pathway, you generally don’t want “all your blue houses” connected in the same road system because then they’ll go randomly to various supermarkets and imax cinemas!

Use traffic lights more! They’re good for congested areas, they control traffic and keep the cars from all getting stuck in one spot

The disadvantage of blocking the spawn is that when they do spawn it’s on the edge maybe if you leave spaces open where you want them to spawn would be better

10:48 there is a perfect opportunity to use traffic lights, since that red car went really slow. The traffic lights would just speed that up there.
This has raised an interesting tactic, using roads and roundabouts to prevent spawns in certain tiles.
if you can spawn roads anywhere, then this makes for an interesting way to just delete all potential spawn locations of destinations...
I wish they add a limitless game mode to this game. Just soo relaxing.

Theyve been introducing roundabouts where I live in the US and damn has it been a clusterfuck lately lmao not denying efficiency but getting used to them has been quite a chore lol
They're literally slower and take more space than a 4 way stop unless you're dealing with multiple lanes of traffic at a time. They've put in two in my area, tore down historic housing to do it, and it's made traffic so much fucking worse

@@abvolts-animation6008 in the UK we have a notorious motorway junction called the spaghetti junction because of the complexity of it, it's situated in the west midlands on the M6 iirc

I recently got accepted in an engineering school, and the "hi fellow engineers" really hit home right now, I'm crying.
I have found that it's better to keep all the colors segregated as much as possible, AND to keep the shops/Imax segregated as well with their own supply of houses, otherwise cars might end up going all across town to get to a shop despite there being one just a few tiles away creating more congestion and extending the time it takes for them to get to the shop. I know it might seem like a good idea to add more cars to a network if there is a problem with collecting the markers but I have found that it sometimes help to actually decrease the number of cars instead.

calmest player i’ve ever seen. i usually panic about halfway through, delete everything, restart, and still fail 2 minutes later
Just want to put in that for crossroads, using a traffic light is a good option since it will halt left-right traffic and allow up-down traffic to travel. It will help with congestion since there will be scheduled ‘times’ that each way can go and it won’t be all of the other three pausing and waiting for one direction to make it through. Roundabouts are top notch, but utilizing traffic lights can come in handy too.
You actually can block things from spawning with streets, thats a strategy to get some extra space for roades between houses and to block new destinations next to each other
You should play “Freeways” it’s like this game and it’s great.

As an American I can safely say, that is the most European city I've ever seen.
There is aparently a city in the US that has like a 1000 roundabouts, it is like in Indiana I belive and yes, I am a American aswell and roundabouts are a bit confusing but do have their advantages

6:49 that happens to me exactly and I think I know what happened. The car was waiting at the entrance of the roundabout meaning cars behind it would jam on the roundabout behind it, meaning cars would wait for cars on the second one to move meaning it would jam the first one as well
Definitely use traffic lights when you have a crossroad that looks like it is/will be congested. Helps when roundabouts don’t fit. Love the videos!

This reminds me of the one time I went to visit a friend. Was a 1 hour drive. halfway through, navigation sent me off the highways into a roundabout. And into a 2nd. And into a 3rd. Over the last half hour, driving from village to village, I went through a total of 10 roundabouts. I counted.
Now, thanks to your video, I know what happened there. They apparently had unlimited roundabouts to use.
It was good practice though. Barely any roundabouts in my city.
