Jardoon, in the basement of the "spiral building" is a VERY nice vault with many many monies, diamonds, and other items you'll enjoy. its very worth it

Jordan, the ankle thing is commonly called ground shock. Its when your legs are not fully prepared to absorb the energy of the impact, i.e. when dropping from a hanging position or landing barefooted or just too hard. There's a lot of tiny bones in your feet, connected with tiny tendons, a lot of blood vessels, etc.. and usually when jumping from a wall or something, you're already primed to absorb the shock with your entire body. There are however cases when the rest of the body doesnt have time to prepare and the full energy of the shock gets dissipated in your feet only, sending a shockwave through all the tiny bones and nerve endings, inevitably causing you to feel that sharp almost electric pain.
Landing flat-footed rather than on the balls of your feet especially, since it's really difficult to land with bent knees (shock absorbers) that way, and tensing up your legs when landing too. That's part of why a lot of people doing parkour will roll when they land, that way the legs aren't tensed to keep you upright.

Panic flips are funny
You should make your house floating- basically making it hover 3-4 blocks off the ground so that when the zombies can break blocks- your house remains unaffected. Then put barb wire under it
That would be against HOA rules
Since you have Farmer's Delight, I recommend twofold:
- Try to see if you can cut golden apples on a cutting board and if the resulting slices cure infection as well
- Make compost for your farm. It'll make produce grow even faster and *should* function as normal with create

Hey Captain, in regards to Zombies being able to break blocks, it's actually not nearly as bad as you're probably thinking. Zombies have to spawn in with the right tools to break blocks. They can only break blocks that correspond to the tool they are holding. And that only becomes possible after Day 75 on your version, but once you update, I believe it's day 105 instead that this begins.
So if you have a zombie spawn in with a pickaxe, they won't be able to break wooden blocks. But a zombie that spawns in with a regular axe will. Obviously damage will still be done, but it's not nearly as destructive as you're thinking. I'm on day ~120 in my world and I've literally only had 2 blocks be broken so far. And that was on decorative blocks, not actually walls. I'm sure it gets progressively more over time, but it's not like it turns into full on chaos on day 75.
that's good to know, I was starting to panic, I wanted to have turrets and a lava moat before then but its taking a while to get the stuff together

Btw Jordan, there is a mod that fixes the "bug" of minecraft starting up with base health values. I used it recently for a custom cobblemon modpack in forge for 1.20. Maybe there is a version for 1.18.

As a physical therapy student learning the foot and ankle in my musculoskeletal unit, your ankle gets stability from up the chain, knees and hips. and when you think of how your ankles have to bear all that weight when you hit the ground from a high force output, it makes sense you would feel that. I also feel it at times especially when not primed for the movement, and the tissue is having to adapt to the high velocity that is about to be placed on a dorsiflexed foot which creates a lot of demand for all those muscles to provide motor control, deceleration and stability. Which may also explain why your nerves are firing up to tell you maybe they were not ready for that, but only momentarily. the body is an interesting thing.
Favorite mc series by far, it gives such nostalgia vibes. Love it sparkles!

Build a base on a island above the subway, then build a elevator joining the subway to the base, then you can build the garage and petrol filling in the subway
Build your house out of obsidian. Then use barb wire second block high. Might help.

Keptinsporkles if you put the bucket of dirty water in the furnace twice does it purify it? Furthermore once you place it down can you create an infinite water source of purified water? Imagine the coal and time you would save 😊

Modpack dev sounds like a cool dude, and I know he mentioned wanting to make a standalone game, and I hope they can do that considering they do pretty good with the tools they have now!
I know I'm late to the comment, but I'm very surprised no one in his chat mentioned that Engineer Table that he found is a workstation for villager who can sell Treated Wood. This is the best and easiest way to get treated wood.
Instead of trying to build an island base I would suggest considering a floating sky base 10 blocks above the ground no larger than 4 square chunks. That way the zombies can't reach and none can spawn on the property as there is no place far enough away from you that would allow them to spawn. As this has the Farmer's delight modpack added you can make a climbing rope to get up and down from the base or you could do a flowing waterfall water stream to go up and down as zombies cannot climb either of those

My problem with my ankle is bone plates and joint extension units it turns dwarfism into normal people. Its extremely cold under my skin.
