Phillip, you are a man born in the wrong century. I really appreciate the way you boldly go about being your true self. The world would be a better place with more real gentle and kind men like you. I am so happy that you found your love and lifestyle that so well suits you.
a magnifcant steed so you can gallop through those gates, into the Courtyard, dismount and hand the horse to a lakey and stride into the chateau and sweep Stephanie off her feet. ahh.. fantasties.. lol..
Beautiful afternoon tea table Philip i love the red and gold so warm and inviting you are doing wonderful videos i am very much enjoying watching your channel 😊
Beautiful! I love a good placement debate - Id have gone for the inside (closest to plate) for the cake fork, under the 'use outside to inside' model. And - as you said - there are no wrong setups when it is that gorgeous!
Your gift of setting tables is marvelous. 👍🏼💖one small idea for this late afternoon tea setting would be that some greens instead of flowers had given a touch of nature to it like small pine twigs in between 🌿
Dear Philip, another lovely table with delicious food! You really inspire us to get out the good China and invite people. The encouragement we need after The Time of COVID. Thank you!
Phillip, I think you should photograph all of your beautiful table settings and in a years’ time you’ll end up with a beautiful book that you can publish and sell. 🍽
Phillip you are so blessed to be living at LA Lande. Your love of China and silver is so evident. So glad you started your own channel. You need to do one at a brocante to show how you look and pick items for yourself and for the Chateau. Keep up the good work.
I am enjoying the "Philip scape" (table scape) you have been posting videos about! It is so nice to see the item you choose and the way you choose them! Thank you for your video Philip!
You should write a book about how to set a table for each occasion and room. It's amazing to see a young man caring about the house and the art of receiving guests, it's just inbred in you. ❤️🌹
Wonderful table setting Philip! It reminds me of high tea at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. Thank you for bringing a some Christmas joy into my day. Cheers from my little quarantine room in China.
Once again Phillip an elegant table beautifully done😇 I look forward to your videos. Stephanie is a very lucky woman to have you in her life😇 I love all of you. Take care 😇
I am loving the table setting, it is a joy. Lovely to see the various services in use. One of my fondest memories is of a table setting tour we went on as a fundraiser, just fabulous. Thank you.
Philip - I find myself expecting a pan shot/very close up showing us the patterns of the plates/cutlery/napkins before you put them on the table. I miss this detail. It feels like you are rushing us through and sending us on our way too quick - you could be sharing your knowledge of the pieces you choose and perhaps even why you like these items (or like them for this particular setting). We'd enjoy that...we like that from you... we're here after all!
Loved it all but thought just a simple Christmas decoration , maybe a few White Christmas Balls layed across the middle somewhere would have added to your Red tablecloth and candlestick ♥️
Lovely, Philip! Congrats on the new channel! As a long term subscriber/patron of The Chateau Diaries it’s wonderful to see this extra glimpse into your experience there. Like Stephanie’s channel yours is very soothing to the soul :) I’d love to see some rummages through brocantes from your perspective and a wander through your collection when you have the time. Take care :)
Hi Phillip. Love these videos! Can you teach us a bit more about the different traditional settings then add your twist after? I married into a very traditional European family but I grew up in a Canadian fishing community where we all just ate family style. I am just learning about all this and find it very confusing. But I love it!! The way you show it makes it easier to remember. Thanks and congrats from Canada ❤!
I like your non traditional French placement of the dessert fork to balance the other place settings. Lovely very Christmasy tea setting. Looks warm and festive. Maybe you could incorporate in future videos why you place forks, spoons and knives in a particular order in the table for each meal course.
Beautiful table Philip. It made me rethink the placement of the cutlery, don't get hung up on traditional look. Play about, ring the changes. I am know rethinking my Christmas table colour, maybe blue, silver and a bit of grey. That my all change by the big day. Stay safe.
Well Philip that’s a perfect afternoon tea table….I always put flowers on but when you added the candles they were the finishing touch & it didn’t need flowers at all. Just lovely. Thank you 💕
I love you are doing this channel @Phillip Janssen it's the prefect escape for a 'porcelain-aholic' and I can keep my own temptations at by with watching your lovely settings with the amazing collections ever growing at Lalande. Now, I just need more time to watch all my favourite videos and get my own work done :)
High tea (as we call it) is an absolute favourite of mine as it always feels like such a special occasion. I love the pleasure of using beautiful tableware and indulging in the ‘deliciousness’ of all the daintily presented food. Your vlogs are very enjoyable Philip and I always look forward to the next one. Since you asked for comments, my only request is, could the music volume be lowered (or off) when you are speaking please? 🧁🫖🥂🎄🥰
Beautiful Philip! you have done a great job and Stephanie and Michael as well, everything looked like it would taste wonderful, as well. Such an elegant table ! Thank you fr sharing this delightful 'Tea.' turned into a meal as well.
I love how you set each table for different event! Would you please go visit a fabric store sometime for us Americans I would like some more creative ways to decorate a table!
Hi there! As always, a most festive & beautiful table Philip! You definitely have THE most fun jobs these days! ( I love, love LOVE setting the table!) Perhaps instead of flowers, which can be rather elusive this time of year, you could collect greenery ( pine, redwood, rosemary, cedar, anything green could work really) and make tiny wreaths to go around the candle base. Or lay the greenery along the length of the table, interspersed amongst the plates of food or maybe just in the middle 1/3 of the table. You can accent with pops of color using gold baubles, beads, small ornaments from the Christmas tree, bons bons, OR pinecones, acorns, horse chestnuts.... you get the idea. ( you could paint some of the natural treasures in gold to use every year, they look so pretty!) If you need height, use a pedestal bowl in the middle of the table, filled with some ( or all😄) of the things mentioned above. You could make a “pedestal” bowl or plate out of orphaned china & a wine glass. I think you’ve had practice doing that, right? Didn’t Kat absolutely LOVE that craft project? Perhaps not so much)😆 I hope you know that I am in no way suggesting that your lovely table is anything less than perfect! I most assuredly am not! I’m just responding to your invitation to us for suggestions. And I apologize for the dissertation length comment... I get waaaay too excited about table setting. Thank you for sharing this with us Philip. And thank you so much for being such a perfect, magical Prince for our precious & beautiful Stephanie. You are both so very much loved by us all. With love from the Northern California Coast 🐾 🐬🐚🦞🐋🐡🦈🐳🦄 🦔🦚🐈🐏🐓🐿🥐🥂
Beautiful!! Go candid more. You’re more vibrant and brilliant than you give yourself credit for!! Your days will suck us in. Especially with the La Land family. Your candid is beautiful. Film a “raw chateau during production” lifestyle. May your relationships prosper!! You and Stephanie are beautiful souls who thrive on another but shine also as individuals. Rare, gorgeous people. Be. Love! Laugh. Teach. You’re wise and we can learn.
I love a good and beautiful table setting!!!! It has always been one of my favorite things to do at home! Watching Stephanie and you on the Château Diaries create beautiful settings and finding all the beautiful pieces in the different shops, markets and brocantes inspires me to make my home more me and elegant! I have always liked a dining table to be a presentation card to the delicious food to be served! You are AMAZING Philip!!!!!
Sooooooo beautiful! Thank you for sharing with us your tea, can’t wait to see what else you teach us! Absolutely stunning. I like that you allowed the food to be the show case instead of flowers, the added candles were a nice touch too. Lol hugs and love from Texas!
Phillip...Christmas is my favorite Holiday and you have represented it beautifully. I love your Vlogs, especially because they are beside Stefanie’s vlog so we can see the ending result, such as she made the tea sandwiches and Michael did the sconces. The ending result was spectacular!
I love when the actual food that will be eaten is visually beautiful on the plate and has many heights, colors, so it can double as a center table scape. It allows the guests to also continually and more easily help themselves to more since the food is on the table instead of on a server without the table feeling crowded or food taking away from the centerpiece. I love when the table decor not only looks beautiful with the room but also considers and visually compliments the food being served. I so enjoy how you create spaces that are elegant and beautiful, yet comfortable, inviting, and where you would want to linger with good company!
Wonderful table setting Philip! Love the simplicity...the food is the show, you did a brilliant job! Looks warm and inviting, not overly fussy! Thank you...really loving these short vlogs! Take care, stay well! Much love Kathy x
What a beautiful table, Phillip! I so appreciate this because as silly as it sounds, I have felt "table setting anxiety" before, wondering if I will be judged or criticized for doing something wrong in my formal place setting. I love that you say we can make up our own rules. That really takes the pressure off!! Keep the table settings coming! ~~God Bless
I already saw Stephanie's video on making the food. Such a grand time was had! And to see you warm the room and set such a lovely table! You have found your niche, my dear! Brightest Blessings!
What a lovely, inviting table with all the colors flowing beautifully. As a helpful hint, just speak a bit slower. Fast-speaking just swallows your words, and we don't want to miss anything you're saying. Keep up the good work. You're doing great! 👏
@@pjgreen1786 - 300Books isn't imagining things. I too find Phillips speech pattern to be quite fast. As Witchwithit mentions, it depends where one is from. For Phillip to appreciate this, he'd have to moderate his speech pattern; something that's quite hard to do for an international audience. Interestingly, media studies have shown that those in front of a camera and who speak slower, are more relaxed and more confident. Those who rush their speech are more likely to cover their nervousness with giggling, just as Phillip does. Marie Wiik does this too; Stephanie doesn't.

Wonderful Philip. Can I book a table for two please? 🥰🫖☕️ The tree looks quite magnificent in the corner🎄❤️

Lovely table I would love to have the space to have different dinner /tea sets Love the candles. Well done again Phillip x
The food was as much for decoration as for eating. Lovely!
Love love love short videos! I find them instructive and practical. Great job Philip!
Really excellent job, Philip. Great video and nice editing. Don't forget to mic yourself. Beautiful smile.

It is so nice to see someone your age take a interest in setting a table. No one seems to do that anymore. I love a nice table.
What a beautiful table Philip. If you know what they are, would you mind listing the china patterns when you set a table. I love that china pattern.
The table looks beautiful 😍 such a relaxing watch
Great job Philip, beautiful table setting. X much love to you all. Merry Christmas. ❤️🌲⛄️🤶
Beautiful, elegant,, and cozy by the fire!! 😍
