Here are 13 little things, cool details and interactions in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom: playing songs with the Zonai Stakes, stealing the Yigas' bait, absolutely annihilating a Flux Construct III... and more! - Hry
the flute kid in the stable trotters does a dance similar to skull kids in oot
I knew it felt familiar, yet I just brushed it off. Nice catch.
Exactly my thoughts when I first saw him!
Was that the skull kid before he became skull kid? 😧
@SuperEpicRaven this is supposedly set in a different timeline. The most recent in the future I think.
It's just a homage, no skull kids. Even the Kokiri are gone as they evolved into Koroks
@@Gerolanfalan I was kinda joking so. 😅
Love the cut at 1:50
Was expecting a laugh but not that one! 😂
Imagine talking to a korok and it’s a Yiga in disguise
.....Damn... Link reflecting that giant firreball is the most epic thing i've ever seen..
Forget laser beams, he can now parry meteor sized fireballs with a pot lid
I'm gonna be honest. I'm a little sad that parying the fireball doesn't send it straight back at the gleeok
Maybe it could if you use a mirror shield 🤔
You can use a spring shield!
+DOWN TO SIZE
I have docked so many hours into this game already since launch and it took this video to teach me certain things... I almost want to cry in a good way... this game is amazing 😭
Tears of the Kingdom will have us scratching our heads for years to come
Wow, i did not know that's how hover stones work if you shot them with an arrow. Being able to instantly deploy them in an active state makes them so much more useful than I realized.
You can attach them to an arrow and have them instantly deploy about 2 meters away.
You can use them that way in the middle of the sky to replenish stamina while gliding long distance.
I found out about that like yesterday.
I've been playing for 70+ hours.
This is GOTY. F the haters. The possibilities alone is astounding
The dazzle fruit killing Stalbokoblins in one hit has just saved me so many good points of weapon durability I can use elsewhere.
Wish we had that fruit back in Oot :p
Fuse it to a durability up pristine forest dweller weapon for the ultimate stal killer
The possibility of creating tunes is... 🤯
And the reference to Phantom Hourglass with the Phantom set in the labyrinth is a touch of class!
That’s from Ocarina of Time, not Phantom Hourglass.
It’s modeled after the boss of the Forest Temple.
@@psyduckrulesno, I'm referring to that one 6:59
@@FedericoMaggioreI get what you're saying, but I feel it's more a Spirit Tracks reference, as the Phantom Armor has the coloration of a phantom possessed by Zelda in that game. Plus, the Royal Family Crest on the back is a dead giveaway.
You can also Ultrahand bomb flowers on walls. lol.
3:22 wind bombing in totk lol
You can also grab pretty much anything link puts in his pocket with ultrahand. That way you don't waste other resources.
For anyone curious about that first one, people have already made the opening of Megalovania, and the first ~40 seconds of Bad Apple.
dude this video brought stuff I would never have thought about in a thousand years, excellent work.
The Gleeok one is really helpful. Does the hoverstone protect against the gust that knocks you down as well? That's probably the most annoying part for me.
Your video is the first TOTK one I’ve seen with unique and interesting tips/tricks/tidbits I haven’t seen before! Thank you for this awesome content!🥰
Gibdo Bone damage can actually be buffed even further with the Bone Proficiency set bonus, which makes bone attacks do *1.8 times the normal damage!* I can't test it to make sure right now, but this should be able make your first shot against a Flux Construct III do enough damage make your second shot able to defeat it without needing to fuse anything to the arrows.
how do I get bone proficiency?
@ By either upgrading all the pieces of the Radiant set that you can buy in Kakariko Village to level 2, or by getting all the pieces of the Evil Spirit set which you get by completing all the labyrinths
@@SuspiciousTemmie thank you
The gibdo bone buff does not apply to arrow heads though. I have tested it.
@@tysoncook5152 Wait, it doesn't...?
I'll have to check that out for myself, because that doesn't make much sense (Although Nintendo isn't known for having all their decisions make sense lmao, so I don't doubt that too much)
Whoa that Gleeok one looks incredible. It can also boost you with a rocket for the higher parts if you attach.
Tons of good stuff. I like to use the Yiga Hover prebuild.
I did NOT know you could use them as a shield. Thats cracked
7:28 that was so unbelievably smooth
3:23 This is the closest we're going to get a windbomb in TOTK
fact 4- also works if you are dressed as a Yiga and roast them by any fire elements (havent tried as just Link yet! and was also done at the 'Shrine of Resurrection') though you wont be able to use it in any dishes....
Update: did check with link without the Yiga armor and the Yiga dude gets upset saying 'How dare you do that to my bananas' and starts a fight (basically the same as just grabbing them as Link)
0:45 Was hoping you would go the opposite direction so it would play the skyward sword theme 😂
I left my Switch on and let the Flux Construct on Thunderhead Isles get killed by lightning without the fight even starting.
3:26 I was already laughing,, but the cart flying into the distance from out of frame made it perfect
Not sure if this was mentioned, but 3:30 for out of reach plants, you can Ultrahand a bunch of materials (plants), and use Autobuild to get them to dislodge from their original spots.
These can be used with high hanging Bombflowers, rushrooms, swift violets, Brightcaps, etc, and even apples if you're lazy to climb or chop every single apple trees in a orchard. :D
This is GOTY. Forget the haters. The possibilities of what you can do is astonishing
One of the best channels 💯💪
Thank you mr.g, too kind! ❤️
@LooygiBros no... thank you
Something REALLY nice in the secret ending cutscene... Spoilers ahead....
When Mineru goes byebye the camera zooms out and you can see Zelda and the others built a bridge to get to the island they were on.
1:36 THAT COUNTS?! 🤯
Can’t wait to see this series go on until a new Zelda on a new system comes out.
The amount of detail they put in this game is crazy
6:21 dazzlefruit equals light and stal monsters hate light
Wow, these are some GREAT tips! I'll have to remember these!
Much learning I have yet to learn
Thank you very insightful video
the first fact is so cool!!! i was amazed when you played zeldas lullaby
More surprising, I didn't know you could kill Keese with a shield block and a body of water. What happens if they land on land? Do they still pointlessly die?
No they stun for that a knew for a keese hit my shield
It can possible I can be wrong
No, they remain alive.
I believe any enemy, except Lizalfos and Octoroks, dies instantly when they go into any swimmable water.
@@AlexParry95 yep I think that too
I not see a big bokoblin chef swimming by the way and hinox should don't die in water if it the same that breath of the wild
It isn’t instantaneous.
There’s a drowning animation.
Also for the bigger monsters like boss bokoblins and hinoxes, the water has to be deep enough.
I remember when I played Breath of the Wild for the first time, the hinox across from the entrance to Naydra Snowfield at the foot of Mount Lanayru walked across the pond to chase me.
thanks and congrats for the video! (from Brazil
7:28 personally I just built a turret in the doorway made of one stake, construct head and beam emitter whilst waiting for it to die
loving these videos!
The amount of detail is rsther impressive considering the massive open world and its activities already. Like GTA or RDR in that regard. Also its on a 10+ years old hardware too
Dazzle fruit is also good against many gibdos at once
very cool, especially the gleeok tip
#1 is how certain instruments work outright. It's nice that Nintendo took that into consideration when designing the stakes.
4:47 Someone really wanted to see Link in a Vai outfit...
Yes finally a new video
The dazzlefruit is my favorite method to use when dealing with those damn skeletons. I discovered it one time and I had a Grinch smile a la Chuck Jones creep upon my face 😈
5:25 I did almost the same haha
I activated the flame emitter and manualy spun it really fast using ultrahand
This game should be on every UX presentation / lesson
Is the pitch of the stakes continuous, or discrete? Like, does it quantize to the nearest note of the 12-tone scale, or can I make lo-fi microtonal hip-hop?
It's microtonal
Did you find your horse with those stats, or did you upgrade the horse?
(3:33) Huh, neat... I just used Ultrahand to grab them and set them gently on the ground
You can also safely steal the banana if you cook it on the spot
For gleeok fights hold yunobo he blocks all. The elements.
Another cool thing i found out was the place where the cell shadong is gone at the entrance of bridge of hylia is still there but is alot smaller than before and if u look at link shirtless when its night he alot more muscular than with cell shading
Apparently that's because of the way they "fixed" the bug.
There's a layer for graphics textures on objects that can be either filled in or left empty to determine which parts will be cel shaded and which parts won't. The broken recess "decal" on that particular pillar had that layer filled in, making it remove the cel shading, because they wanted all dirt, rock, and grass surfaces to be exempt from the cel shading in the rendering engine. But instead, it made everything inside the broken section exempt. The "fix" was to manually erase the texture layer, but they used an erase tool instead of Select All, so you can tell they just scribbled over and missed parts.
@@OtakuUnitedStudiointresting
This game has the most broken mechanic I've ever seen. And I love it.
Nintendo, update it so if you move the bananas, the Yiga Ambush is changed to be this "Wait what, you knew about the 3 trees being sus!?, well then you'll wont be leaving without a fight!"
you can also save yourself a splash fruit by just grabbing the bomb flower off the wall with ultrahand. just dont drop it from super high up.
This game is nothing short of a masterpiece!!!
nO, THE GAME IS A SLOPPY SECOND. vERY SLOPPY LIKE botw
@@chillstoneblakeblast3172 you’re entitled to your own opinion but I must respectfully disagree
@@BR-jw7pm Nah, I really love the game. I just find people that say the experience is one of the Worst 3d Zelda titles very funny
@@chillstoneblakeblast3172 you had me going there! While I love this game, it’s certainly not perfect and has its flaws. Still, lots of fun and full of game-breakiness!!!
You guys are amazing and helpful, thanks!
The thumbnail is an actual song, the korok forest theme?
Link: /gets away with stealing bananas
Yigas: wait how he do dat?????
wait you say long ranged hits, does this mean there is a damage falloff for arrows based on how far you are from the enemy? did not know tihs
electric shocks work to remove Bomb Flowers if they're near bodies of water
I did it while trying to get cave fish and the Bomb Flowers just safely fell off the wall, no detonation
That's especially odd considering their description says that they don't mix well with fire *or* electricity.
@@psuedonym9999 exactly, even I was surprised
You can grab bomb flowers with ultrahand.
Hahaha lol i just used a ruby for the gemimik shrine it lights all of the torches if you throw it at the top of the motor
...I wouldn't exactly call wasting a ruby "cheesing"
whered you get that shield from
Tip number 4- What if you cut down the trees?
If you add a hyrule Pine cone to any fire source it amps up It would make a add on to a Campfire wouldn’t it
I’m pretty sure it’s called a Hylian pinecone
I'm still playing this game like it's BotW
At least from that distance, you could've also just taken it with Ultra Hand. Works too!
If you’re talking about the bananas, i’m fairly certain that doesn’t work.
@@psyduckrules Talking about the bomb flowers
Aw.
Never mind then.
4:57 is epic
Yo where do you get the wind waker shield 🛡️😮
Everybody I just thought of something! What if mastro for the stable trotters is tingel? Think about it
#6 or just use Ultrahand.
Cool
huh neat. 700th like
I have a clip saved where I was exploring a cave via a makeshift raft down a river and spotted a bomb flower.
I felt like blowing it up with Yunobo, but when he actually hit the bomb flower, the flower just dropped into the river for some reason
Oh yeah, doing the steak music thing I played the racist China theme you know what I’m talking about right
