TBH I would take any day in the deer woods ANY WHERE with anyone over the rest of the year stuck at work thinking about deer season !
The up close encounter will in many ways be more memorable than something with larger antlers. Im sure there will be no regrets. Congrats on another successful hunt THP!

Everybody likes to see big rack deer get harvested, but really, I could watch hunts like this all day long. The strategy, the calling, decoying, the WEATHER, just all cool stuff, then buck comes in and almost walks over top of you. Glad you guys went to heavier arrow setups with fixed blade or COC. More lethal from multiple angles. Thanks for sharing.

And I would say this is a good starting now that I could pass down to my son when he is older.But the package was missing the release and a nock was missing from one arrow.Dealing with customer support was terrible. They suggested I buy a new release rather than correct their own quality control issue because it’s to expensive for the. to ship it out from China.Update: manufacturer got back to me and resolved the issue. I retract the above statement.

Due to THP and the Ranch Fairy episodes, I made the change over the summer.
The bow tuning, the arrow tuning and etc. helped improve my set-up.
This year my bow hunt track jobs did not occur, I watched each harvest fall/expire.

Quick decoy story: We have an elevated hunting blind on the edge of a power line clearing foodplot we created. We have a decoy like Ted uses and used it in the foodplot one day and instead of taking it home my son just laid it under the elevated blind. The next person to hunt in the blind was my wife and not knowing the decoy was laying there, she freaked out in the predawn darkness when she saw it! She wondered why someone drug a deer under the blind.
