Greg is honestly one of the most underrated and overlooked whitetail hunters on social media. He consistently gets close to mature deer and closes the deal, but seems to be completely fine with letting others have the spotlight. He's the type of dude you'd love to have in camp with you. Congrats, Greg!
This is very true, he may be behind the scenes when the young 'bucks', are in the spotlight, but when it's his turn and with his many more years of experience, he gets it done time and time again. A BIG Congratulations Greg, very deserved!

Yes I was kind of disappointed greg had little to do in the public challenge apparently he was in camp editing daily videos for us to enjoy. I'm glad he got his time in the woods as I always especially enjoy his hunts. I really enjoy the kill vids but u learn from and enjoy the ones where there's no harvest as well, that's why this is by far my favorite hunting channel. Perhaps you guys could have a post season video measuring the racks? I know score is not really important, but I'm from nc and our deer are much smaller body wise so it would be a good comparison to see how a deer of similar measurements looks on a differently sized body. I'm planning a few out of state hunts and I'm a little worried about judging size. I'd hate to pass on something that looked smaller than it was just because I'm not used to such huge bodies on deer.

I’m only 12, my dad doesn’t hunt simply because he isn’t interested in it, but my uncle in big on hunting and I decided to watch some hunting videos for a little more information I guess. this channel is perfect for it, take a subscription.

@@swarktv199 look up The Hunting Public podcast with Warren Womack (I hope spelled his name right) on Google and start there. I think Zach did 2 podcasts this summer. It's a long podcast but well worth it. Warren is an unknown southern deer hunter but has 50 years of deer hunting knowledge.
But the short answer for a feed tree or area is a spot where deer, squirrels, raccoons, and everything else know where that's the best hard or soft mast off a tree is at during a particular time in the fall or winter. I've been hunting Louisiana for 5 years now and didn't know how to find one until 3 weeks ago. I've seen them before but didn't know it.

I’ve watched everyone of the thp videos and I’ve been rewatching the episodes. My grandma passed this last weekend and hunting was a big part of her life as well as all of my family. These rewatched episodes are what’s been getting me through this week thank you so much for the content.
Gooch is like a lucky charm. First Jakes fork buck on the ground, now Greg’s buck on the ground that are the latest. That’s 9 deer now. And a pheasant hunt would be awesome.

Definitely my favorite hunt on CZcams. From the set up to the camera angles and watching Greg do his thing with that calling sequence. You can tell he’s an experienced outdoorsman!

Next year I’m leaving the private lands of small bucks and does, my goal is to go where most are not willing to go and get a deer from the ground with a bow, you guys are the inspiration for this change. Thank you for all the work you guys do as a team to provide us with raw knowledge and proof this can be done by planning not just luck.

Dandy buck Greg, congrats! Love rattling bucks. Shot my first buck at 13 years old back in 1981, rattled in by my Dad. He was one of the first guys doing it in our area of N/W MT.
Hooch gets so excited love it he is learning the trade and gets the shakes and hard breathing and he doesn’t have a bow in his hand love it

Blows my mind how much better y’all’s public land in Iowa is than even some of the best private land here in VA. No slight in that to what you do, just saying it’s a true gift to have that in your back yard
I must have watched this video four times , and each time I watched it , it gets better . The way Ethans knees was shaking was something too see . I haven't been able to hunt in a long time . I'm disabled and it would be really hard to get into the woods . Living in Florida is so different from New Jersey . I miss being in the woods .

I've been watching older videos and its like watching them for the first time . Greg is such a Humble man with a Beautiful intelligent wife . Greg surely knows how to hunt the big deer . Gooch is awesome too . Seeing his legs shaking was just to funny and shows how real hunting is . Gooch is definitely going to be a big part of T.H.P.

I know this is a older video but in the future it might be a good idea to tie something orange on the decoy , they have orange tape you could just tie on the antlers ..
There are some really stupid people out there . And seeing antlers makes hunters react very excited and stupid .

Tim White, This was a GREAT hunt, especially since it was on public land and a ground hunt with really no cover. Not trying to take anything away from all that, but not a giant by any means. Its a really nice buck, not a giant. BTW, the deer in my area hone into the EXACT location of the source of the sound. Its 50/50 on whether or not the decoy would be enough to distract from the sound location..a great shot here as well, deer didn't go far at all...

While it might not be relevant to deer hunting, Gooche's leg jumpng reminds me of catching water mocassins as a 12 yr old I had the same response! 40 yrs later still have not been bitten. Great hunt!
