So...basically a support and empowerment group for people with mental health issues who are also attracted to oddities and escape their life hardships through fantasy.
Well, as long as Unicole won't abuse her power over other members, I guess it can be quite a positive experience.
"Calming" is the last word I'd use to describe that house/room.
To each their own
I think we could do a lot more to give people a sense of fellowship and community that isn't based around fantasies. Our work-obsessed, individualistic, and extensively competitive societies create a dynamic of isolation. When a person's only community is their workplace and their value gauged exclusively by the qualifications on their resume, it can box people into a corner that's never been natural to the human condition. We're very much social creatures. When you take away that social component, people start to look for it among the fringes.
This comment is so important. I absolutely adore your sentiment, and feel you're totally right. I hope someday we can change the way we live in society; where we're basically living at work, and have no time to reach out to find others to have in our life.. it's heartbreaking that we've done this to ourselves
Says the chaote to the people. ;) I like yo style.
Totally...but how does one get off that hamster wheel, when we have so much riding on it? It's pretty mad.
I do agree. While I think believing in some sort of other worldly power is natural when we don't know all the answers to life and need comfort, our lack of societal closeness and community feel is harming is and allowing people who want to abuse and control to come in and claim leader
This was such a great comment, regarding fellowship and community that isn't based around fantasy. Reality shouldn't be so painful and socially removed that people resort to fantasy driven leaders. (Get your fix in books or video games the old fashioned way!) It's sad that we feel so without community. I feel this way, so I have to be watchful about where I try to find like minded people. Lonely people are at risk of turning to charlatans for their social needs. Society needs fixing.
This cult seems inspired by "Lisa Frank, Hello Kitty happiness, and the idea that witchy magic culture is kool" ie we will just pretend and have fun and call it a Cult.
Lisa Frank. Epic
Right? Like is this really a vult if they admit to being a cult? Lol
AT least they have fun i guess... It doesnt seem to be the case in other religion where they pretend ("believe") too
For those who say this is harmless, this is cult 101 stuff. They all seem to start out like this; preying on the socially awkward (notice all of these people suffer from depression and anxiety?), giving people a sense of purpose, then it turns into slowly cutting people off from the outside world, and normalizing bizarre behavior. This reminds me of the tragedy of Heaven's Gate.
“You can trust me” Scariest part of the whole video. The same words uttered by so many cult leaders over the years right before their members give over all their money, or allow themselves, or their loved ones to be abused, or agree to commit mass suicide. “Belief makes real” Actually, no it doesn’t. Living in a fantasy world, slowly eliminating your healthy boundaries, giving all your trust over to someone else... These are all incredibly unhealthy things which we’ve seen end in pain & death throughout human history.
what are healthy boundaries in the modern world? it all fucked up so why not try something fun. if it ends in tragedy which i hilghly doubt in this case, is it really worse than the “real” world tragedy we’re all living in aka late capitalist neolib hell lolz

@Hairless Xoloitscuintle they say that about any cult, that’s why there’s a group called Cult Watch. What hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean it won’t - perhaps it has started and is not shown here. And they take it very seriously, making testimonials and such. This is exactly how Scientology started out.
@Hairless Xoloitscuintle regardless of gender and origin, abusive cult leaders and members shouldn't have any children (biological or not), but, believe me, some of them will try. A bunch of clinically depressed people together, I smell Jonestown 2.0
I mean I'm hella not into this weird internet cult and it gives me the creeps hard, but Jones wasn't this way at all. Jones had issues obviously but his followers were mostly murdered in large scale. Jones started off by giving minorities and the disenfranchised a home and a place to feel important and ar home together. He began by doing something wonderful that naturally soured as he gained his power and influence. Many of his followers were absolutely not willing to kill themselves for him and would not have if they had not literally been forced by gunpoint and stranded in a compund in a foriegn country.
I really suggest(if you can stomach it....) listening to the notorious death tape and looking into how Jones built his cult from something nice into a massacre eventually.
I suppose my point is Jim Jones was the fucked up one and his followers payed for it. What scares the hell out of me is a cult like this started by a mentally unstable person who is able to bring other mentally unstable folk into her fold.

Zubbs maybe they do.
She has a very Poppy-esque vibe to her.
Holy crap she's pretty much the real life Poppy
Steph H Lmao I know!
She does, but I'm pretty sure that's a front. She's a literal cult leader after all. Cult leaders tend to have dark triad personnality traits.
And the "castle of dicks"...
I ' m p o p p y
Silly but really admirable. Everyone needs a community.
Watching this with staples in my arm, I totally relate. There's nothing wrong here. We need more of this!
Why do I get the feeling Shane Dawson would love to be a part of this
He's fabulous!
this cult isn’t into racism or raping pets, sorry shane. 💕
Don't give him any ideas lmfao
cults and abuse go hand in hand 🤷🏼♂️
This isn't his vibe in the slightest.
this is actually really sweet. it's just people who don't fit in with society and want to have a community.
You've literally just described the typical membership of a cult.
yes exactly, we should just it like that
Yes its all "really sweet" and cute until they start committing suicide like heavens gate...
listen to ur heart but isn’t this how Jim Jones started his cult? Catering to people that ‘didn’t fit in’?
it's mental illness
I can see the appeal of this and really i admire her courage to step outside the lines and create her own life and reality. Definitely some "woo-woo" that just plain doesn't make sense and some turns me off but I can see what she's trying to do. As long as it causes no harm, so be it! Live and let live! 💜✌
I love this. "People who have mental disorders really have the answers." Says a self-proclaimed cultist (usually people don't proclaim to be in a cult right?). Well, I've been diagnosed with schizophrenia, so... my answers are: be honest, be happy, connect with others in a heartfelt way, fulfill your basic needs, respect everything you can as much as you can but be genuine too.
Hope you got your answers now :)
And no I've no desire to tell people what to think, nor how to think. The ultimate answers I've stolen from people blatantly (Paul Chek for example):
1. If there's a problem, fix that damn problem instead of trying to "fix" it with stuff that doesn't address where the problem originated from. Else you gonna run in circles.
2. Do your own damn field resaerch, experiment on your body and mind and life to find out what's what. Be mindful of it when you do, but nonetheless... experiences you'll have are something you can have certain very important type of trust in.
3. Try to think for yourself, and be a responsible thinker instead of regurgitating whatever you "think" is right but have no actual idea about. For example, I've not been outside earth in this life so I don't go into the whole "earth is flat vs round" debate, nor into debate whether Jesus was an actual history figure or not when it doesn't even matter.
4. It's what you get out of any given teachings or science that matters to you, not what the teachings or science originator wanted you to get out of it. Self-bias. IF you think yourself above an "enemy" like that, that's the part where you tread on dangerous ground. As those who think they can't be fooled, often have the most severe blind spots in certain ways.
30 seconds into this video I thought, this has to be in California.
Ohh it is. LA
Homegirl is from Colorado
Says someone that's never been to California
ya they come to California they allways come to California thats why we have a homeless problem
Ewe People anyone from India could’ve known this was in California without stepping foot in the us 😂
I actually like the symbolism of carving something into a candle that’s bothering you and burning it away
That Girl you can use that same process to bring to you whatever you want to manifest as well...
It’s been a really common practice for centuries across many cultures to visualize negative attributes being held in something and then burning that thing for release
lmao. no. but lmao.
Robo Cop Ritual can help people process things-indeed, a lot of therapeutic techniques involve ritual. No one’s saying that burning a candle with the thing you are worried about carved on it will actually make the thing go away; people are just saying that doing so can give you a psychological feeling of release. Understanding and learning to manage your sub-rational emotions (which sometimes involves using techniques like this) is essential to becoming a mature, high-functioning human being, so if you’re really into using your brain you should probably look into this.
@Robo Cop that's alright.
I'll make my brain magically release endorphins by just thinking. Maybe some serotonin.
I'll also motivate myself by thinking about being motivated.
The way people experience emotions doesn't work that way, because our emotions are drawn from past experiences and association. You're never truly in control of them, you just manage them.
It's the same reason I can't make myself happy by sitting there thinking in my head "I am happy".
I'm truly moved-with-emotion the understanding of freedom within oneself is uplifting 😁😄😃😀
Before you learn her story you dont have empathy but hopefully by the end you did the majority millennial thing and exercised empathy. I actually lowkey support this cult now, a leader who is just encouraging people to change their reality is just solid, especially in a generation that struggles with depression and psychological disorders at a high rate than our predecessor. Overcoming depression and suicide is powerful, and no matter what comes from it, it should be shared with the world so others can be inspired to do the same. Whatever it takes to live, is a great mission in this world. Kudos Unicole and the gang. and Vice lol...... i love y'all, lol
Hey I feel like she’s living her best life so whatever have fun lmao
looks like she's suffering
Best life now = worst life next.
Hell is real...
Jesus Christ is the only way to God - there is no other door which leads to eternal life. Religion or good works will not get us into heaven, but a personal relationship with Jesus will. He said, “I am Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through me.”

It's perfectly normal to feel like you don't fit in or that other's don't believe as you do. You don't need to join a cult just because you think this. Use your own brain, don't follow others.
This girl is truly appreciable how she got out of her depression and started this organisation for her survival 🙏🙏🙏
So basically starting a cult cures depression? Sign up!

@@Jiggleton that's literally how we feel about the west too😂😂😆😆
@@Jiggleton Got that right, but some of us are sad enough to fall in love with this crazy woman if we had the chance, probably. Or am I projecting?
I just want to say, Vice, thank you for being so open to go see these people and talk to them respectfully. Everyone has their world, as long as they don't harm others, I respect what they do even though my beliefs are different. That's interesting
They're insane! I LOVE IT!
The message I got from unicult is that we are all already programmed, and we have the ability to reprogram ourselves to be what we actually want to be instead of letting others program us to be what they want. This video focuses on the more obvious cult behavior and pop aesthetic which are just not for everyone. but I encourage people to take a closer look because there is more there than what the commenters are lazily mocking.
Exactly!
I have always been fascinated by how easily people can be led around by dominant personalities. My deep sense of cynicism can be frustrating because it prevents me from making significant connections with people, yet I appreciate the independence it provides me at the same time. I am forced to acknowledge my own deficiencies and come up with constructive solutions rather than allowing someone else to do it for me. Many people can seek useful advice from others and benefit from it is a simple fact, but too many seem to want the answers just handed to them.
Hey, you just articulated how I feel. I know your comment is 4 yrs old, I guess I'm super late to this video. Anyways, I'm taking your comment to my therapist.

It's funny how no matter what the cult is.. the leader is always "special" in some sort of way and its always self proclaimed lol They're Jesus or a Starseed or whatever else they can think of but there always has to be something that puts them above their followers
This is one of those situations where it’s like, you do you dude. Like if she wants to start a cult and make music and art and shit, and that’s what keeps her getting up in the morning - more power to you! This was kind of inspirational in a weird way in that she just found her thing, her little niche in the world, and went with it. I support that tbh.
I agree, couldn't of said it better myself
She still clearly has issues, as well as her followers. Isolation and hiding within fantasy never end well in cult settings.
@@ObliviousCrow but it's the opposite of isolation. It's making friends, however kooky they are, and bringing people together. It's actually seeming to help mentally ill people become functional by giving them a space they feel comfortable in. Also if a cult says they are a cult, they arent a cult. I'm sure Unicol let's her followers leave and come as they please: aka not a cult
@@lilcrabbybabby Shutting yourself away, and limiting yourself to a fringe group on the internet is a text book example of social isolation. These people aren't getting help, they're digging themselves deeper into their anxiety and depression by rejecting the world around them. They've created an environment where the mentally ill, help the mentally ill. They become overly reliant on this group for a lack of social stimulation, and if anything remotely negative we're to happen it would shatter their illusion of being accepted.
I have internet friends, they're great people, a few of them I've met in real life, but talking to them over skype/discord can never replace the social aspects and benefits of going out with friends to the mall, or to a bar.
@@ObliviousCrow idk if you know this but like, some people hate going out to bars, malls, etc etc. Some people genuinely dislike big social interactions. And no, that's not a mental illness, it's just introversion. You seem like an extrovert, which is great for you, but genuinely being out in large groups of people makes me, along with many others EXTREMELY uncomfortable and its not something we enjoy. I like small, intimate spaces with people I know I can trust. Personally I'm an athiest so the religious aspect doesn't appeal to me, but this space seems very safe for introverted folks trying to get interaction. It doesn't seem harmful in the least. I mean, she's preaching about positive alien vibes it ain't killing anybody.
I'd honestly love to see a moment where they ask her dad about this whole experience, since he saved her life. It's great that she survived and is making her own happiness (and some happiness for others!) but I bet this isn't what he expected for her recovery...
ReyBeltane I mean, she did hit her head on the way down. So there’s that.
@@jaclynnschaefer Alice spreads her Wonderland adventures to the internet
She obviously had some type of brain damage
I want to hear the truth from her dad. Because medically and scientifically it is impossible for her to be functioning and alive right now. 2 hours dead and she was resuscitated? No, it doesn't take a genius to know that doesn't happen. And then to go that long without oxygen, yet not be brain dead? People become brain dead quickly, like 3-6 minutes without oxygen. She should have been all over the news for this absolute miracle. She should be studied to figure out how she survived. I bet her dad would call her out for her Jesus rising from the dead story.
@@alisaishere she said she was 2 hrs from death, not that she was dead for 2 hrs.
I’m really interested in being a part of this to be honest!
Did you all hear that correctly, the UniCult leader said, they resuscitated her within 2 Hours of her dying; 2 hours, ya right, I don't think so!
Yep, she said that.
Its amazing medical science this days.
I am so glad now she kicked her LSD habit.
I really want to see what happens to the unicult 2019 years down the line. Please keep me updated
A mass exodus to another continent followed by everyone drinking some cyanide laced juice
Just like christianity, they’ll probably end up stealing attributes from other religions and astrology, then claim it as their own.

Spoiler Alert: get the sunblock, we'll have burnt our little blue marble to a well-done crisp before 4038. 🤗🤗🤗
That's the real "Endgame spoiler"...
I highly believe she will have moved on to more exciting interests, and this will be just a blip in unicoles past. This can't and won't last :) but who am I to say...time will tell!
I'm not even mad. Shes not hurting anyone and tbh I vibe with what shes talking about.
Shes not hurt anyone YET... That girl is sick.. The needs help
I agree. There is nothing really wrong with this and the messages are positive.
Also like, calling your cult a cult means it's not like the "cults" that manipulate people. I have no problems with this either.
Yeah it's nice so far I hope it stays simple and positive like this and doesn't become solely a marketing campaign or worse :/
That’s how cults start out though they trick gullible people and talk about these nice cutesy ideas and then they all drink the kool aid.
Some people in life are just blessed with unbelievable eccentricity. Unicole might feel like she can’t fit in, and that this is the only way forward. But she is actually one of those people that others would naturally crowd around. She just wasn’t in the right frame of mind when she was depressed.
3 mins in and I'm killing myself with laughter at these crazies 🤣
Kudos to this woman. I've always wanted to start a cult.
XD

I think this is a good example how trauma can make us believe all kind of things to help us to survive. Psychological help is needed here.
They definitely take shrooms
There probably selling them too. You know how some of these "churchs" get down.
@noo dles I agree but everybody can't handle it.
@W0Y4K I think it is MDMA and 2CB and other substituted amphetamines. LSD/DMT/shrooms don't make me delusional, mdma and meth do.
@noo dles glad you said that because honestly it is my favorite. D o c. I've only tried it four times (blotter) but let me tell you all I did was laugh my ass off and trip my ass off with 3 other PPL each time. I wouldn't dare do it by myself that's a long-ass 20 hours 😂😊😎👀

"Spaace" then pauses. God that got under my skin lol
I read her entire website and page. You are always allowed to practice a religion (whatever you want) with this cult. If you think that this whole thing is fucked up, literally just read her website.
It never says you can and do anything - it's legit just telling you to be a nice person. 100% harmless, you can practice whatever you like and she encourages you to create your own belief system. I dunno, I thought it was weird at first but after I did some research it's 100% harmless.
what are you guys talking about, the editing and direction of the first minute of this video is insane, how can u hate this?
Lmao I was thinking the same thing, editing is so satisfying
I don't think you can be resuscitated after being dead for two hours...
Thank you! how does this not have more upvotes? Braindead for 15mins means TKO.
Very low temperatures can do it. But she probably just meant near death and unconscious and finally stabilized.
@@baloog8 I thought about that, but seems unlikely
When she said that, I sat there and pondered it long enough to convince myself I no longer understood what “within 2 hours” meant. Her cult already has me questioning my perception of reality.
It was two hours before death, I believe
