Chicken & Biscuits in the Dutch Oven Recipe
1 pack of chicken tenders
1 small onion chopped
3 carrots chopped
2 ribs of celery chopped
2 small red potatoes chopped
small can of green beans
3 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup milk
1 tbsp better than boullion chicken
quart of water
salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, herbs de provence
can of refrigerated biscuits
Precooked chicken at home. Chopped up into small pieces and season.
Add chopped up veggies to oil in a heated Dutch Oven
Add water, eyeball it. I didn't use the entire quart.
Add boullion
Mix cornstarch and milk together until dissolved. Add slowly a little at a time until the gravy starts to thicken.
Add chicken
Cook until thicken and completely heated up.
Add biscuits and cook until biscuits are browned.
Keep turning the dutch oven a 1/4 of a turn many times through this process so this cooks evenly. Add whatever veggies you want. Add bacon, make it the way you like it. Enjoy! ~RVA~

I spend a ton of time researching campsites and campgrounds. I watch a ton of videos like yours, lol prior to booking. Dutch oven cooking is fun when the ground isn't wet. Charcoal cooks things fast normally, but wet conditions really increase the length of cooking time. I need to do my peach cobbler recipe on a video sometime soon too. That's my family recipe. There's nothing better than camping in the Fall, couldn't agree more. Thanks girls for watching. ~RVA~
@@RVAHikerGirl Well your research pays off! It appears as though you NEVER get one of those sites that are beside the bath house unexpectedly or the site that has the party people next door! Those types of sites can completely alter the experience! Karen has been talking of cast iron cooking lately as well - so I am hoping she too is planning some of her southern cooking over the fire! A peach cobbler sounds AMAZING! Can't wait!

I know right! I love camping right on the water with unobstructed views. I research a lot to seek out those kinds of spots. Oh I cook on cast iron at home and then just take my skillets out there with me. Except for that dutch oven. Thats an outdoor one since it has feet. An indoor one doesn't have feet. Ah yes Tom. It comes in very handy at car camping sites. Shower, changing room, and sometimes potty room. There are pockets inside and lines to hand things too. You really have to stake them well though, cuz the wind can take that thing away in a minute. Thanks for watching my friend! ~RVA~

That was a pretty sweet hammock spot! We have a little Fireball in hunting camp. It tastes so good when we are out camping. Then I try it at home, and, not so tasty! Crazy. Wow, amazing dinner and a sunset (loved the time lapse). Amazing Halloween decorations for a campground. Nice! Sorry about the bad-energy-neighbors. Glad they left. Enjoyed the relaxing morning with you, and the lunch looked scrumptious!
Yes, I think it's even better when it's cold outside. Man it pairs amazingly with hot cider. I do spiced rum sometimes in cider too, but I think the fireball is better.

Thank you for your videos...I love Lake Kerr! I have camped (rv) on both the NC and VA side several times this year. Last weekend I was at North Bend Park, one of my favorites... Along with Kimball Point, JC Cooper.... :-)
Kimball was where I wanted to camp but the spot I wanted was booked. I actually had it booked a few weeks ago and couldn't go because my cat got out and we couldn't find her for 5 days. That one was suppose to be a solo campout for me. Which is your fav place in NC? Yes Northbend is my fav in VA and this one is a close 2nd. I think Kimball will rank pretty high too. ~RVA~

Awesome sunset and you getting to be quite the camp chef Jacqueline. I can tell you were very busy. Its almost impossible to chatch up on missed videos when you get home. You did have a little fall foliage looking up from your hammock.
And I was to trying to watch your LIVE while I was cooking the chicken and biscuits and trying to video the sunset all at the same time. I was def multitasking LOL! Love my Dutch Oven. Not ideal conditions with everything being so wet. My 30 min recipe turned into a 2 hr recipe but hey that's being outdoors for ya. You just never know what to expect sometimes. Happy belated Halloween to you as well! ~RVA~
@@RVAHikerGirl I remember a long time ago when I wanted to boil water on a open fire to make macaroni. But after waiting so very long we just threw in the macaroni and it worked as well, just takes longer. So that was a lesson. Now I know you can even cold soak you macaroni. It will just take a while! 😂 With a cocktail and a campfire, waiting isn't that bad! 😁🍹🍸Cheers!

I was expecting you to bring into song with a Nutbush City Limits! Great day and some lovely Fall colours, real nice to be able to get your car close by and a fire pit too! The view was pretty special as well, perfect place to chill out and relax and looked real snug in the tent, real roomy too. Loved the setting sun and you did a great job with the pumpkins and food but what a dam shame about the negative energy coming from your neighbours. Good to see relaxation was restored and reading in the hammock could continue and a nice simple lunch sounded (and looked) dam fine to me! Cheers Alan

Hey my UK friend! Great of you to stop by! Sticker love from all of my peeps, is amazing. Fall is probably the best it has been in years. The perfect weather conditions are in play right now. A beautiful campsite 😍 I will forever be jealous of the dispersed camping style pitches you guys have over there. A few campsite owners in the UK are catching on slowly, but it's still a real rarity overhere. The food looked amazing, i definitely need to get a Dutch oven.
Appreciate it Aggy Goes Outdoors! In the US there are so many National, State Parks, and Recreational Areas to camp at. The National Forests offer free dispersed camping locations and of course on long trails such as the Appalachian Trail you can camp at the shelters and or along the trail as long as proper rules are followed with being a certain distance from the trail, water sources etc...There are also private campgrounds and property owners that use HipCamp etc and allow people to camp on their property for a small fee. It's true there are so many various choices for camping. I do feel very fortunate. I have so many dutch oven recipes. Cast iron is such a great way to cook! I hope to show my peach cobbler in a dutch oven on an upcoming episode. ~RVA~

I keep wanting to record a video about how difficult it truly is to enjoy this green and pleasant land but I'm afraid I'll come off as just plain angry! Nice hearty meal for a cool evening! Not a fan of sweetened booze, but a couple fingers of single malt scotch is perfect!..lol. It was a beautiful weekend here too. I've pushed all negativity out of my life over the last few years. Life is just too short....I tend to be overprotective of kids and I am sure that would've been horrible to endure. I like ALL THE CHEESES!
I'm the sweeter drink girl, JByrd usually not. I don't like his drinks and most of the time he doesn't like mine too much. (He said the beam was too sweet for him on this one) But we do like to keep trying new things to keep it interesting. Me too on the negativity in my life. It's just hard not to be affected by it and feel for those people in the situation they find themselves in. Praying for them that things get better for their family. ~RVA~

Hi there Outside Comfort Zone! I can't tell you how much I loved your comment. I love creating my campsite in various ways were ever I go. AND I really put a lot of thought into getting new and different shot angles to give different perspectives of my adventures. I always enjoy vlogging and the creative outlet it provides. I never sleep very well when camping. I was already up before the 1st light just waiting on dawn. I love the quietness of that time of day. Some campgrounds are nice....I research hours and hours to find just the right ones. I am pretty picky where I camp when I car camping. I really enjoy cooking at home and at camp and tweek my recipes for camping and backpacking. Yeah, it was pretty bad, the campers next to us. I just pray for the kids and wife and that they find peace. Thanks for stopping by. ~RVA~
Good video and a beautiful weekend and I have camped on the site next to yours, but the wind noise was very distracting. Might want to get a better mike or figure out how to filter the wind noise.
I have a microphone and dead cat but the cord is causing interference and cuts the sound in and out. It could be the microphone going bad or the lightning cord. Don't have the budget for a brand new one right now. Sorry you didn't enjoy certain parts.
