Looking at Leicester now, it’s very safe to say that Rogers made the right choice and he already hit the ceiling with what was possible at Celtic.
Exactly it shows ambition. He's gone to Leicester knowing it's a tough league. He's looked at players at Leicester and thinks he can get them European football. Once in Europe they have decent chance of going a fair distance.
Celtic will continue to go backwards. Only one club offers competition in their domestic league. Low TV money so can't compete for players and getting embarrassed in Europe every year. Celtic and Rangers playing in England would eventually catch up probably. Currently though they would struggle to stay up in premiership.

The point being made is Celtic is a bigger club than Leicester and this point cant be argued. The reason why Leicester got further in the champions league is solely financial. If Celtic went into the English EPL they would be changeling for top 6 within in the first 5 years because of the size of the club which would attract major finical backing.

I'm not from the United Kingdom or Ireland; but as a football fan, I know that only Manchester United, Liverpool and a few other other clubs maybe have a bigger fan base than Celtic. Moreover, they have a rich history in Europe, something Manchester City - forget about Leicester here - can't brag about. They were the first British club to win the European Cup, a.k.a the Champions League now, in 1967. They were runners-up once also. And I think they were also runners-up in the UEFA Cup back in 2002 or 2003 to Mourinho's Porto team. So when I read some of the comments on here about Celtic being a small team, not even good to compete in the Championship, I've realised how many people are either ignorant or simply Celtic haters. The sad reality is average nothing clubs in the Premier League have more spending power than all SPFL clubs combined. Celtic are in the top 10 biggest clubs in the world, Leicester aren’t in the top 50. This is the sad nature of modern football. Aberdeen fan here, we had Burnley in the Euros who are pushing top 6 in the premier league and they struggled against even us! Extra time to get past Aberdeen.... there are some players in the premier league that are worth more than the whole of Aberdeen FC.
