- A special edition of L&K as part of BBC Music Live broadcast on a Bank Holiday Monday in May 2000 (I've left in the ML titles so you can marvel at their cheapness).
More importantly it's the changing of the guard for Live and Kicking - not only the final regular appearances of Steve and Emma, but also the Leprechauns, Mitch and Mr Blobby. It's also the end for the original titles, set (what was left of it) and theme tune (here played by a live band led by its composer David Arnold). It's probably not a coincidence that the four-presenter lineup the show switched to in the autumn is tried out here, with future presenter Ortis appearing alongside the late Stephen Gately. This was however the first edition of the show to be broadcast in widescreeen.

BBC ONE Continuity On Spring Bank Holiday On Monday 29th May 2000.
Omg Hanson I just seen them in concert last week... 👌 👌 👌 And still a brilliant band 👌🤘🤘🤘🤘
Glad to be of assistance :-) Planning to upload the start of series 8 soon - but a quick search reveals the series 8 titles are already up here. Mine should be higher quality though, as they appear to be nicked from a Real Video on another site.
This programme was broadcast on Monday 29th May, so FBi had already been running for about 6 weeks by this point (you can see the first show elsewhere on my channel). And yes, I meant the last regular use of the titles - I know they were all (including Mitch) dragged out of retirement for the last show! I'll update the description...
Pretty much - from my old tapes I have seen them performing it on the last in the series of L&K (mid April) and the last Blue Peter before the summer break (end of June) - plugging the same song away for 2 and a half months! It was of course the theme tune to LA7 too which is why they were pushing it so much...
Music Live was the umbrella name for a 24-hour broadcast of various music programmes, one of which was a special edition of L+K. So the links presenters are presenting Music Live, not CBBC.
It was announced fairly soon after that Emma and Steve would be leaving the show, but not until early Sept who the new presenters would be. So I guess they may not have known the extent the programme would have been revamped (i.e. year zero!)
Wonder if the team were aware of the big changes then back in May? Mitch implies not at the end.
And I forgot how trippy those Music Live titles were.
I seem to remember S Club 7 popping up later in the day performing Reach as well, on the Top Of The Pops show. Were they trying to ram the song down our necks or something?
Keith hosted FBi, not Shane!
omg. me and my sister clapping on the stairs! got any more of this episode??

@Okonkwo009 Why? To steal that video just like you've stolen this video and the L2K video?
