The only thing they agree is against migrants from outside EU. They are also against migrants within EU but they avoid talking about that, otherwise they will end up beating eachother in the events they organise together. Then many have claims over territories that belong to neighbouring countries and for same reason they avoid discussing that. Then the far right from rich countries do not want to pay so much for EU budget that benefits poorer regions/countries

@@Tyron-yy9yy The people pushing for democracy, were considered far left revolutionaries at the time. Today we would call them liberals, and the institutions they created are called liberal democracy. Human rights, due process, representative democracy, free courts, universal suffrage, etc., are part of their legacy.
I see nothing wrong with a sensible immigration policy, coupled with strong borders. Nor is there anything wrong with free trade (is an integral part of the EU), as long as it is somewhat regulated. Both are good things for Europe, and something a lot of people would agree on, including a lot of people not voting for far right parties.
The problem with a lot of people on the far right, is that they are authoritarian and reactionary in outlook. They desire to subvert the institutions of liberal democracy (such as the independence of the courts), have strong ties with dictators (mainly Russia, but also China) and conflate sensible immigration with racism. Many of them also have Nazi/fascist sympathies and tendencies. The last time Europe was hit with a similar populist wave, it ended in WW2.
It should also be noted that European far right parties aren’t necessarily capitalist like you see in the US or Britain. In France they want to give government handouts to a lot of people, lower the retirement age and use protectionism. Which would ruin the economy in the long wrong.
Mind you, I voted for a right wing party myself. In their case they are part of the liberal group, but going on a platform of stronger borders and less red tape. Which is also what the current president of the commission (whom I hope will be reelected) desires, and she is herself a right wing conservative. But that isn’t far right, but instead sensible center right.

When it comes to environment I almost fully agree. There is absolutely no reason to destroy Europe for no reason at all. I think the environment is larger than a country's decisions, but it's also larger than EU. We need to focus on good solutions that lower the costs for companies to be evironmental friendly. We need to strive for innovations that the rest of the world wants. Pushing industries out of EU will only make us poorer. It will not solve one single issue with the environment. Environmental activists (terrorists) have made it into a religion and nobody is allowed to question anything. This is redicolous and dangerous. When they say "-Follow science!", they mean the scientists that produce the right reports. DISGUSTING!

Local politics would be better, and I don't mean at a nation level but regional level that's closer to the people's interest.
With that said, there are a lot of good reasons to pool more resources and integration at a national and supernational level with the EU, especially if we want to protect our political and economic interest, whiles also being more relevant and having a voice on the world stage, something we can do better by the 27 members working through the EU, especially with how the geopolitical situation is changing around the world with the US, China and Russia.
To put it another way, if we Europeans are serious about protecting our interest, we are going to have to do more through the EU, because whether we like it or not, the individual countries are too weak to stand up to the likes of the US and China, whereas we can if we speak with one voice through the EU, I think that reality over the long run is why further integration is likely to happen, but there are many ways that can happen, and it's up to us to find the right way that works for all members and the people.
I also do think that more democracy is needed on the EU, with it being more connected with the people, a lot of the far right and Eurosceptics take advantage of that disconnect the EU and the people have, if there were more of a connect with the EU and the people, it would be far harder for the Eurosceptics to have much of a case, or let's just say, there case would be weakened, in other words, we need major reforms on the EU and need them before 2030 at the latest.

Hey first of all thanks a lot for all the videos, it must be quite a challenge to make all of them, and try to be as unbiased as possible 🙂.
A couple of complementary info from a French dude:
    1. Mayotte used to be part of the Comores politically, when the whole archipelago was under French colonial law. Then in the 70s referundums were held in all the islands, and Mayotte opted to stay French. They did a second referundum a year later that confirmed the will of Mayotte to stay French. Since then you have problems there because Mayotte standards of living are way higher than neighbouring islands, yet are very close geographically, which pull people to migrate to Mayotte, causing a lot of clashes locally.
    2. Relations Le Pen Russia:
-- French far-right in general is sceptic of USA, and wants France to have a more balanced, middle-ground approach to global geopolitics. As such they always were very pro-Russian in a sense they don't actively picture them as "devils".
-- In early 2010s, National Rally used to not be able to be financed by French/EU banks (mostly because of ideological biases), and had to go out of EU (notably to Russian banks) for financing.
-- Far-right/nationalists had a strong appeal of Putin's strong-armed leadership for a lot of reasons, notably because the guy managed to get Russia back on its feet """against""" globalisation, which is kind of the not-so-hidden wet-dream of EU nationalists.
-- Early 2022, right before invasion, all anti-mainstream French parties (LePen, Zemmour, Mélenchon) were convinced Putin was bluffing and NATO was raising the stakes to push back EU well into USA sphere of influence. It turned up he wasn't bluffing and war escalated. All three leader public standing took a major blunt, right before the French presidential elections (May 2022). I'm convinced LePen and National Rally will remember that for a long time, and won't make the same mistake of publicly approving Putin twice! 🙂
