Just reminds me of the thing I would wish, when granted only one wish, NO HUMANS, not on this planet, not in this solar system, Milky Way, NOWHERE in the know and unknown Universe. Period.
The demo versions of this are on youtube and pretty much the whole song was complete before they got involved with Trevor Horn. I love the Annihilation mix.
The BBC Peel Show demos show that the song existed prior to Trevor Horn's involvement, but he made the song a big hit. Compare the two and there's a huge difference in quality.
@@johnmc3862 He worked on several versions before the one we know as a hit, and then continued with multiple remixes. He basically put the whole thing together from elements of an initial idea or song from the band. There are a lot of videos on CZcams of Trevor Horn explaining how it all happened. He's great to listen to.
We love Trevor Horn. Hey, cheap plug, but we gotta try....I was almost signed to ZTT in 1993, but ALL SAINTS beat my then band to it at the last hurdle. Trevor really liked the music I was doing back then, but Jill Sinclair said the girls were more marketable. She was probably right there! I watched all that government film on CZcams a year ago after getting into the annihilation mix. It's worth watching if you want to creep yourself out. And then whack on Threads for a wonderful double bill. But maybe watch it during the day.
RenatRenat3000 it's a BBC documentary series about the Cold War-3 parts to it. Sorry I don't have the exact titles bc I'm on my phone but I have it downloaded on my laptop... it's a brilliant series. If you're still interested, I'm under the same screen name on twitter (@spanglelime) and you can DM me on there, and I'll get back to you. I torrented the series for download so it is out there and I can't recommend it enough if you're interested in the Cold War and Britain's journey through it. Otherwise I'll favourite this video and try to get back here once I've got the series info to give you and anyone else who's interested in tracking it down and watching it. I learnt so much!🤓🙃😀
Found it on CZcams! It's called Strange Days Cold War Britain. I believe this segment is in the third episode. The guy presenting is Dominic Sandbrook.
FGTH........best music ever and ever and ever....................
To tue
Mean to true lol.
Best synth dance band
Something in the water in Liverpool! Best music by far!
Well this track more down to horn and lipson than Liverpool really
one of the best 12inch ever .
nationalism... cuts deep especially with LINN-Drums and Fairlights
Fuckin' eh'!
The fairlight and Linn programming was amazing

ARs as near fields. No wonder he got that tight bass punch!
Good point. If the AR18s were good enough for Trevor, then perhaps I should use my black ash pair in my studio (strokes chin).
This Is the Best song to scare the World!
Nothing better than sticking to the Government!

Horn was involved with ‘Relax’ as well and I think was crucial to its success.

@@MrTomDangerous I appreciate what Horn did with the production. I was surprised at how complete the musical ideas were before his involvement.
@@MrTomDangerous completely agree Tom. Production is what it’s all about sometimes.
sounded like pink floyd just at the end

I have that 12”.
What programme was this from, looks really interesting
I think was, Strange Days Cold War Britain. BBC
BBC banned it, well thats a surprise.
The older I get, and hear about the BBC the more I can't stand them.
Was it? Heh heh.... Auntie didn't understand the core of it, did she?
The BBC didn't ban this one, though, but "Relax" when it was at number two, ensuring it made it to number one.
name of the film pls
