Caden Cox has always been more interested in making kicks than making history, but earlier this season, he did both, becoming the first player with Down syndrome to play, as well as score a point, in a college football game.

I’m gonna be honest, most stories like this where the guys just let him score and everyone cheers don’t do much for me. But watching someone with a real disability actually work hard and achieve something no one thought they could makes me smile. He’s actually a better kicker than me and most other people lol. Good on him.

Our Son has Down Syndrome he's 39 years old and when I seen this it just BLESSED MY HEART .OUR SON ALSO LOVES SPORTS HES WON SWIMMING GOLD MEDALS IN STATE SPECIAL OLYMPICS AND WON 2 GOLF TOURNAMENTS FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS. ALL THIS CAN BE DONE IF THEY ARE JUST GIVEN THE CHANCE. I ALWAYS TELL MY SON HE'S MY HERO I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.

You may not understand what were about to say to you but reality is, Yea but the public school system is not doing this for 20+ Million Learning Disabled in 50 states and this is just an example of Reverse Advocating No parents should have to be forced to sign an individual education plan for there mainstream students This is what is so FD up with the public school system in 50 states they do discriminate with ieps to say your student is not The Learning Disabled who out number the entire true special needs 12 on the List are at the top for having a Learning Disability should not mean you are discluded from the elites education as having Learning Disabilities is not as like nor to having a True special needs Public school should not be Walt Disney while 20+ Million Learning Disabled mainstream students should have more of an opportunity than this downsydrome and who ever eles true special needs We need to stop the reverse advocating because this hurts The Learning Disabled with the 1975 Rehibilitation Act It's Parents like you that need to go to F ing Jail for your virtue signaling Your the worst parents in America to Abridge and Break the US Constitution Learning Disabled don't want classes with true special needs In 50 states need there own federal law to PUNCH BACK! at this Unfair loop hole for true special needs This needs to change in federal law to equalize the playing feild to stop the favoritism by the school system and teachers in 50 states If The Learning Disabled can't have it all in Education Than this Means War! My sister Margaret had Down Syndrome. When she was born in 1963, the doctor said she wouldn't make it past age 12. She sure fooled them! I'm sure Caden has fooled a lot of people too. Way to go young man!

What an incredible story.! As someone with a disability, I know what your family has gone through. I was born prematurely at 2lb, 9oz, spent a lengthy time in the hospital and as a result, I have lung disease.

If the public school system only stopped Reverse Advocating, ieps, fail limit, find program, in 50 states to do this for 20+ Million Learning Disabled Students by the time they reach highschool can be in elite class rooms, starters on the football team off to college More Learning Disabled than the few that get highier education guess only elite students in the community are allowed the American Dream others are not We need to talk about this kitchen table issue or Learning Disabled in 50 states don't need public school education if this favoritism continues we should have a mass exit from the school system For 12 years to let the community have the public school system A federal law would be made to allow this
