Regardless if the Dbacks win a ring, this run was legendary and will be remembered. These guys could take hard losses on the chin and still play solid ball. Beautiful stuff.
I think Dbacks take it, reason being is Dbacks got here without the big hitters producing. Got the mojo back in game 7. I think it carries over.

It's obvious MLB wanted Philly in the WS based on this video as did most of the national sports media. Glad the Dbacks were able to stick it to them.

I watched zero baseball in the last 20 years but dove in fully around the time Carroll started playing, the one player that stood out to me as special was Thomas.
This was great to see both my most hated teams lose game 7. Now I will actually watch the world series.

2001 Dback team got two star Ace pitchers Curt Schilling & Randy Johnson! Yankees couldn't coped with the powerful pitching
I was 17 when that happened it was incredible.
Only difference is... 2001 was a bunch of old guys.. this team.. a bunch of young guys... but same feeling for sure!

I'm so hyped for this World Series! Never thought I'd see the Rangers and D-Backs be the WS matchup, but considering the chaos of this postseason, it's quite fitting.
This Phillies team got cocky after leading 2-0. In the 4 losses Phillies were 4 for 28 with RISP and left 23 runners on base. The big guys; Schwarber, Turner, Harper, Castellanos, Bohm and Realmuto were 14 for 83 (.169 BA) with 2 HR and 31 strikeouts.
Love how the Phillies celebrated every out and hit and every game, hilarious how they got fired up prematurely 😂🤣

I swear, some of these Phillies fans are super salty that they didn’t win the pennant for the second straight year. As a Mariners fan, just because you are great in the regular season, it DOESN'T mean that you are guaranteed a World Series run or even qualify for the postseason. Look at this year's group; collapsed in September and miss the postseason. And don't forget about 2001, where we won 116 games, only to s*** the bed against the Yankees in the ALCS. Hence, us never winning the World Series.
We don’t care about other teams. We want to win. We don’t want to lose for you guys
2001 a painful playoff memory of the past, but great memories of the season, remember 1995 didn't go to the WS but had the greatest series against the yanks.

Your phillys had a great season, gave you wonderful memories, went to a game 7 nothing wrong with that. My M's didn't make the playoffs but I still enjoyed their record breaking August (team record) the phillys were great to watch this post-season damn fine players.👍

The fact that the Phillies had it to, but was too into themselves that they choked hard. DBacks '23

The main hitters in the Phillies choked and didn't provide anything. They ran out of gas in games 6 and 7. How many times is the Phillies going to disappoint the crowd? The Diamondbacks just didn't quit. They kept doing all the little things.
Probably as many times as my Braves. They seem seem to Choke when it really counts.
When it comes down to it, Phillies big hitter, especially Harper, are the biggest chokers.
Philadelphia sports teams are some of the easiest to despise. Up there with New England.
Proves that you can have all the good hitters you want but the bullpen and pitching rotation plays a bigger role. The dbacks bullpen pulled through against a prolific offensive team.
I'm starting to think that crowd actually puts more pressure on the Phillies than they can handle.

Shame on all those people that doubted the D-backs from the beginning to the end. Idiot radio hosts like "doggy" was dumb enough to say who cares about Arizona and the D-backs. They will not make it to the WS. Well, that shows how arrogant and stupid these radio/TV heads are. The difference between the arrogant and overpaid Phillies and D-backs is that they are not assuming or feel entitled. They worked hard, played hard and I believe were the most fun team to watch this post season, no questions. I would rather root for and watch for a team like D-backs than the arrogant Phillies (Harper showing his arrogance with idiotic comments and gestures), braves that win during the season and than disappear in the playoffs or overpaid and overhyped Dodgers. Go D-backs.

These Diamondbacks could be beat up, but they would not just go down... Never giving up until the last out. They're young and hungry.. Kudos to Keter Marte the NLCS MVP, pitchers like Zack Gallen, Pfaadt and Paul Sewald, Alec Thomas who tied in Game with that two run homer, Gurriel Jr with leaping catch, also Pham.
Poor Phillies better luck next season... also their bullpen especifically Craig Kimbrel blew the games in Chase Field..

Man, that top of the order the Phillies had was lights out. While Castellanos isn't historically consistent, Schwarber, Harper, Castellanos was a tall order all series long. Impressive the Diamondbacks were able to overcome that. They just threw their best at them and outplayed them. Then you had Trea Turner and Brandon Marsh. They was STACKED

Because out of all the pro teams in these playoffs, they were arguably the worst and didn't have much expectations from anyone due to being a young group that doesn't have playoff experience.
Well then... Take a look at who they had to face:
- Milwaukee, a team that always should win the NL Pennant, yet never does (this year was no different)
- LA Dodgers, 2020 WS Champs, had the best record in baseball last year and are still dangerous (injuries took the toll)
- Phillies, defending NL Pennant winner, loaded with talent, highest payroll in the NL Pennant this year (punched in the mouth)
Even taking into a count that all of these teams are just baseball teams, this is incredible! A reminder Arizona finished tied for the WORST record in the League 2 years ago (52-110) and had a disasterous 5-40 stretch, only to pick back up and make the WS out of nowhere!
I think they had only 3% chance of making the playoffs let’s alone go through and beat the teams they did to get to the World Series.Pretty shocking if you have a 3% chance I guess
All the Phillies had to do was get some hits, sacs, steal bases and they could have gotten back into this game. Instead they tried to swing for the fences

You can listen to local radio stations online, there are usually several websites that offer multiple stations to choose from.

I wouldn’t say they shocked the world. It’s the way baseball works. The best teams don’t always make it to the WS and the last two years are evident of that. Since the Braves didn’t make it, I’m glad the Rangers and Diamondbacks made it. I’m pulling for The Rangers since they have never won.
The Reds only had 2 less wins this season than the Dbacks .
