That unidentified scene at 15:30 is actually from Concrete Revolutio. Thanks to Spinning Silver for identifying that for me!

About the SOFTWARE I use in the video:
A huge amount of my production involves Adobe CC (my affiliate link tinyurl.com/v7fvqgo) I use Adobe photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, Audition and sometimes Animate. I would be nowhere without these softwares. You can get them all with a comfortable monthly subscription, or you can get subscriptions to individual plans. Check them out and see what works for you.
The main software I'm using to actually animate frame by frame is called TVPaint. Here's more information on that: www.tvpaint.com/
It's a great software :)
And if you need a Graphics tablet, I highly recommend this one for you ballers out there: geni.us/vy8xUZB
It's the best tablet money can buy :)
And here's a great low-low cost alternative: geni.us/LLYv
you all probably dont give a shit but does anyone know a way to get back into an Instagram account??
I was stupid lost my account password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me
@Brycen Nicolas Instablaster ;)
@Rodrigo Braden I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and Im trying it out atm.
Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Rodrigo Braden It worked and I finally got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thank you so much, you saved my account :D
@Brycen Nicolas no problem :)
As an actor, your videos have given me ideas for stylised staging and movement on the stage - an inspiration beyond your field. Thank you.
awesome
I'm gonna reach that level one day, it's most definitely one of my life goals and it's definitely not going to be easy.
Couldn't say it better myself
Zennis Down Manga I agree and look to achieve the same goal.
A bit late but good luck mate. I hope you reach your goal.
Heh me too👍🏿
Life’s too short to wait and too long for regret. Go for it.
One reason why anime fights can never be adapted to live action.
Yea I can imagine the awkwardness
It's possible. These mfs just aren't creative enough

Watch King Arthur by guy Richie it has anime fight scenes irl he is a creative director
the more i get into animation, the more i see how hard it is to actually have a quality animation
Could you do a sakuga Study that is more focused on A Character acting? I feel like it's usually very overlooked and people usually think that Sakuga means action and fight scenes where a character acting is just if not more important. so it would really cool to see you analyse them.
yes I would love to. Have been looking into Hiroyuki Okiura. In my opinion one of the best character animators around today. Also looking into the animators behind films from Mamoru Hosoda and Isao Takahata. Might also touch on Michael Dudok De Wit with his latest film the Red Turtle.
Im looking very forward into it! best luck!
@David Boger its his opinion of who is the best to him
Your videos have made me such a better animator!
Waynimations I love this channel because it brings do many animators together....that I can subscribe to lol like now
I love these long videos! The Proximity of tension was a very interesting concept and thanks to you I’m gonna try to incorporate this in my future videos. Thanks again for the informative lessons!
"All rules can be broken."
Debating this law to my animation supervisor when he checks my animation quality. 🤣🤣🤣
Loved this analysis. After watching your videos I do feel like I learnt something. Please don't stop making them.
Anyone who says Yutaka's work isn't impressive is objectively wrong.
aka no one

Can you even imagine how long I've been waiting for this video?!!
YES! FINALY! I waited for this video over 1000 years!
OMG it's out! I already know I'll love this video
Too much to learn from this video 👌🏻 thank you so much 🙏🏻
your videos really help me out keep doing what your doing:)
Can't wait to buy the Sakuaga debris tutorial pack once I get back from holidayyy
Wow! now there are a lot of things I wanna do. Now I'm interested in animating 🤩
LOL I was studying him last week
I'm learning from your vids than I ever did in my cartooning and animation class ✊😭
Thankyou so much for making a studie on yutaka nakamura I learned so much u are the best
And please can u make a video of impact frames
Those soul eater scenes. They seem to be just basic movements for few seconds of close shots but they amazingly worked
I have no idea about animation and I've just seen this film by chance on reddit, but it was really interesting video :D
thank you Vishor
Great video!
proximity tension sounds so dope. Term for the books.
There is a distinct easy to distinguish style if he was the genga artist to a scene.
1, the black and white flash before an impact.
2, and the blocks the impact creates if ever destruction occurs.
The anime at 16:04 is Concrete revolutio Choujin Gensou
MMMMHHHMMMM great video mate!
so cool and usefull... thanks!!!!
def one of the best ever, top legend status.
I loved the MAD video for Yutaka Nakamura great music too
how much is flash mx? and what software does he use to animate?
1:46 That is called parallax. Figure is stationary also though it seems a bit traversing horizontally through the frame for a viewer.
No one is the best animator in the world they might be great but you can't say they are the best because there are so many people out there we don't know have amazing animating skills too
LUKKY you're absolutely right, i just couldn't think of a better title. There's no such thing as the best animator in the world. Got any suggestions for a re-naming of the title?
Well how about why nakamura is one of the greatest animator in history
What do you think of the new title?
Howard Wimshurst it's nice 👌
Howard Wimshurst: I feel you tho, I'm 46 years old and 30 - 34 years ago
I would have said that about Dezaki Osamu. He could put a dramatic intensity inside the slightest movement and inside any fraction of a combat, in a very creative and inimitable way. That was beautiful really. Ecstatic!
What software is he using to analyze the anime footage.
People think that the Yutapon cubes are Nakamura's only talent but disregard the other scenes like the attacks or smooth movement of characters
What's the name of the intro song?
how u make a custom cursor in flash?? i remember in some of your video you use a hand cursor for brush tool but i dont remember which video it is. also i want to know how to do it pls
MOLORIDER i actually can’t do that. It’s a glitch with my screen capture software which makes it appear like I have mixed up cursors but actually for me it displays normally
ok nevermind! thanks for replying.
I may be late to ask, but what music was used around the contrast of scale section of the video? The tune just sounds so familiar but I can't but my finger on it. Definitely would help me through those drawing sessions.
This is amazing. How are you able to analyze clips frame to frame? What software is it? Thanks so much for your content !
Just in case you still didnt figure out, that's TVPaint
Record of Ragnarok has to be animated by this master of animation (If it ever gets adapted)
hello mate
Record of ragnarok is too lit, I hope the animator wasn't the same as 7DeadlySin season3 animators

great video bro. Please what's your computer spec and what drawing tablet do you use?
great video! thank you! and yeah break the rules as its about what works and what looks cool!!
Im sad to see some of these comments are saying 'x animator is better than y", "imo i think this animator is more of a master".
Like man they all pretty masterful. Its absolutely rude to invalidate the craft and creative genius that all these animators worked so to obtain. They are all great, they are all masterful. You dont have to personally like their style of animation or expression of ideas and thats okay, im not expecting for everyone to see eye to eye. But you should definitely be aware that what they do is still amazing and incredibly hard to do. It's better to approach animation with open arms and the ability to love and respect all of it than to restrict yourself to the same old stuff you probably be watching for years. You might find a new animator or type of animation that you'll love.
I agree 100%
15:30 That's another clip from Concrete Revolutio! I haven't watched the series proper yet, but I've seen that clip on the booru before.
oh thanks!
I'dd like you to make an animation that is sakuga with all these variations and your own.
great video good content from you , i realy love it , can ask you a question , i use Krita but i can't see the thumbnails of frames on timeline ,, how you do it that if you can answer me i will be so glad to know it ,, good luck for you 😊😊
First clip is my fav aside from the last fight in sword art online. But EP 1 blood blockade is spectacular
good stuff.
Big fan of the animation you post on twitter!
Talks about Concrete Revolutio for 5-10 minutes, then says I don't know this anime.
can’t wain to get into animating this summer
Ok.. now i gotta go and check who Nakamura is... :'P
Eeeyyyyyyy!!!! Hahhaaaa, I love this. Still learning motion blurs as I'm still a newbie.
The fade technique reminds me of how video games deal with characters obstructing the camera
This is the best Fight animator.
What animation program do you use?
Tvpaint
Which drawing Software are you using in this video?
Cool
Amazing video. Nakamura is definitely a strong force in animation.
by the way, the whole animation course sounds nice, but i don’t do digital animation since i don’t have the money to purchase the equipment necessary. Should i still get into the course, though?
Hey thanks saga,
I made the course with the intention of it being learned by people who use a variety of different methods to make animation, including traditional light box animation. There are some technical tricks for flash users that I show in the walkthrough part of the course - for these you would need to think about how you can adapt equivalent tricks for traditional animation - but it isn't about the software, it is all about the underlying principles, pipeline and techniques.
I actually think it can be better to learn animation traditionally because you have to develop your drawing skills instead of relying on computer aided tricks.
TLDR: yes! I think its definitely worth taking the course
Howard Wimshurst Thanks for the reply, you’re a big help for sure.
I will consider the course then.
Before your bahiJD animation study, there was another on on a guy who animated stuff in animatrix. Where did it go? Do you still have it?
You mean Shinya Ohira or Shinji Hashimoto.
The cut with the horse-like robot is also from concrete revolutio
how I become better at animations
pls tell me and give me advice
anyway what anime is that I had seen it before but forgot name
my channel is dedicated to making you into a better animator, binge my videos!
I love yutaka nakamura
How about doing one of these on Takeshi Koike?
the earliest i've ever been in a video lol
i noticed the soul eater scene. he had the gun upside down and pulling the trigger with the pinky... like DANG !!!
yeah when i saw that I was wondering what effect the recoil would have on his hand haha
How do you know which shot each animator has worked on?
Limelightmoon luckily, people have done a lot of the hard work of curating already on Sakugabooru. Without them, these sakuga studies videos would hardly be possible, or maybe I would have needed to just credit the show and left the individual artists unknown
In my opinion. Chengxi Huang is a master in fight choreography. I dunno, his works in Naruto and Boruto is just brilliant. Even the way he directed the very famous ep 65 of Boruto is awesome.
Agreed the best in the game
Great video!! ^-^ Btw what is the name of the program you are using?
Again, just in case you didnt figure out, this is Tvpaint
@@HamoTheUltimate Oh, I'm sorry ^-^. Thank you very much!!

what is the name of this animation tool?
well this is gonna take a while but ill get to that skill level eventually

thx a lot
I just saw your video.. wish you would leave this offer up for purchase longer. I work and have to wait for my paycheck this Thursday. Many Animators have side jobs or are students. This would help if you kept this in mind. Sorry that I will miss this information.
i'll send you a discount code, what is your email?
short offer windows make a big difference. They give the helping push to get people to take action today instead of saying "i'll come back to it some other time" and then they never come back and they never improve.

I would’ve loved to buy the course, but sadly the price doesn’t fit my budget. Unfortunate to say the least.
He is a beast but i like Norio better as action animator. For me he is underrated. But thats the beauty of animation everyone has their own preferences by the way who is your favourite overall animator like top 5 or 10 including american and european ones as well. You can make a video on that.
Mantra Pro Yutaka's timing, effects, are for me are far more eye appealing.
But Norio really has a good understanding of how the human, things, etc. moves. Overall For me i prefer Yutaka Nakamura
Do naotoshi shida
what animes are these
he really is good wonder if i will evre reach that level the only thing i can draw for now is the anime head and not of high quality the hair is hard and i still need to work on the head positions i have not drawin the body once i have no idea how to draw enviroment and i don't have much time the only time i get is rarely during the school weeks and during the summer and winter holidays this leel od skill seems so unwordly i can't even do those things normally but what about warping them in the way he does? that is way out of my reach i hope i will get more time school just eats away at my time i also plan to go to college that will take even more time i at the bare minimum have 6 years of school left (college and highschool) though at least they are free where i live
waoo
👍
SO YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT XENOPHOSS REFERENCED THAT SCENE AT 9:30
I've never asked him but I would assume that Nakamura is his top influence, yeah XD
Howard Wimshurst lol that's wild dude
Hello hello!
ello mate
I really like the content, but maybe you need to improve the acoustics.
Hey man how come you havent analysed Boruto Ep.65 with Naruto & Sasuke versing Momoshiki ??.
I'd love to see an opinion from you.
there is already a lot of coverage on it on youtube about ep65. I'm just not as interested in it. I love the animators on ep65, some of them I have collaborated with in the past, many of them I know personally. But they were all inspired by the OG animators like Nakamura, Norio Matsumoto and Mitsuo Iso, so why would I analyse them when i can go straight to the source? With all respect..
