you forgot to mention screen shake, it's a vital part of fight scenes, since it conveys the power of the action.
True but thats a part of post production, not the actual animation
@@minkawolf47 To make a better shake you need to rotate the camera in all 3 axises so it needs to be done in animation
Dude, every video you produce is a litteral gem
The fact that you worked on Dr. Stone, my most favourite anime, just makes you an absolute hero for me!
You are really good at explaining and breaking things down. Students need people like you.
Bro casually mentions he worked on the best episode of dr. Stone 💀💀💀
bruh
Once again Dong Chang comes through just when I need him lol! I'm putting together an action scene where these tips are going to be clutch. I like how you explain the use of the smear frames & also holding the fist & character in frame for showing intention.
Dude you are an inspiration..a gem amongst CZcams, also I'm a huge fan of deca dence and tanya the evil... I'm so grateful to be seeing an animator as great as you sharing your insights, helps us so much man
Best teacher fr i never learned like this thank you so much
You're really good at teaching. this happens because you really understand the concept of what you are teaching about. Great content! keep it up :')
My favorite fight scenes are the Genos vs. Saitama fight from One Punch Man, and the 3d maneuver gear chase/fight scene from the Levi OVA from Attack on Titan!
Amazing video! I’ll definitely try to remember these tips
The best animated wind up punch I've ever seen on screen is Naruto from the Second Opening theme (Haruka Kanata) with the music to boot such an awesome sequence! 😁
Im actually working on a fighting game with the anime look. Your channel is being a big help. Thank you
Planning to animate a fight scene of my story for my senior project, never animated before so this is really really helpful lol.
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAA NEW DONG CHANGGGG
Thank you for being our light good sir!!
Hey dong! Thank you so much for making these videos. These videos are so damn helpful. Keep making 🙏
I nEEDED this. Thank you
2:37 Will be cool the video about "posing"
Deca Dence looks pretty good
This videos are so informative and good
Another video 😍...amazing video! 👍👍
What an amazingly helpful video, thanks so much for making this
Thanks so much for the detailed explanation. I learnt a lot! ⚡️
Agree with you on the exaggeration & follow through how it helps to setup the overall power and full range of motion behind the punch. 👍
❤️ How you fully explain and show your works it is extremely helpful!
And to your question of favorite animated fight scenes I would have to say every fight scene in Ninja Scroll the original Manga film.
Something about the movements and flow that make you feel as though you are right beside them while they're fighting. Also Jubei is just kick a$$ haha. 😁
Very informative and inspiring!
Hey can you make a course on hand-drawn animation and then how to composite it with background and full .
great tips!
I'm animating an opening for my series and it ofcourse has to be battle scene with hero vs villain, thanks for this! Ivm not sure how can I adapt this to canines but I thi k I can do it.

Hey Dong, I really enjoy your videos! They're really insightful and I'm planning on using OpenToonz soon. By the way, can I make a request? This may be a simple topic for others but, can you do a video on how to make proper eye blinking animation? I can't find any proper videos about it on CZcams. Thanks!
hi dong chang im a big fan of your vidoes I just wanted to ask what exactly am I supposed to use as study reference for poses in katana fights like in demon slayer
Impossible
Good tips. Thank you. For me that second person view feels kinda weird in sequence. I feel confused and attacked myself. And for me it works when selling the final punch, but for series of punches it tires my attention. I like the rhythm and grace of chinese opera fights in that sense, czcams.com/video/lcIHJzqE96A/video.html
which software do your anime studio use please tell
I think he uses opentoonz
most anime studio use clip studio nowadays. check tonari animation channel, It's another channel that work on an anime studio and also informative.
