By the way, I forgot to say that group policy editor is only available in Windows 10 Pro version and up, not Home edition unfortunately.
Bro please make a video on how to play games without any graphic card.......and how to upgrade windows 10 pro for free
will this work in windows 7?
It can be installed on Home. Or you can use PolicyPlus which is easier depending on the section you want to use.
You actually can add it to Windows, just look some tutorial up, it works perfectly. In fact I tried it yesterday.
So, it's doesn't work on Windows 10 Education? I use it right now. Please tell me.

Useful, but not for me.
And wanted to reboot to use local admin, rather than simply use a runas /user:...
There was an uber god mode before Vista, System. You'd psexec /s software, which then runs as system, having even more privileges than local or domain admin on that machine. That's largely limited now by UAC - sort of, but can still have its occasional uses more easily accessed via powershell.
@@spvillano psexec impersonating the SYSTEM account still works just fine in Windows 10/11 without any limitation, other than that you need to start it in an elevated prompt as an administrator.
@@Lofote true, but security enhancements just made scripting things a touch more annoying. Ended up easier to go with powershell in elevated and just work around the protection, which is what the stinkers do as well.

Thanks for this very informative video. As an IT professional, I knew most of those features, but I didn't know about that "God Mode" thing. This is really going to simplify my work!
Delayed startup is quite useful for a lot of services. Keep the ones that you know you want to start immediately on automatic and change the others to delay them which basically throttles them for a minute or two then starts them up automatically. It just smooths over the startup process a slight bit, but is worth doing on a weaker system.
10:02, now that is how you can take over a school computer
Gang gang
GamerJanko Actually no you can’t, if you try to enable the account it won’t work unless you have admin account that you already use
Nah, just use a portable version of process hacker with the TrustedInstaller plugin. Then run cmd as SYSTEM and type del C:\Windows\System32
@NewAccount 1974 It's fun. Don't ask how I know that, I *totally* didn't do it.

My favorite feature is actually a registry hack: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\ShowSecondsInSystemClock DWORD=1
It makes Windows show the time down to the second in the systray. Not sure why this isn't selectable for normal users without regedit. I mean, I use this on LITERALLY EVERY Windows machine I use. I even used it on the PCs I was issued at the last 2 companies I worked for.
Thanks for the tip! I'm a huge fan of seconds in time and have enabled it on my android phones through rooting or custom roms for ages now. Never knew theres a way to do it in windows without any third party app. Gonna do this tomorrow.
Ye I like seconds too, seconds are pretty awesome
thanks for the tip...never know that exist...i had to use 7+ Taskbar Tweaker to make that goddamn clock show seconds
And I seriously... really... truthfully... actually... genuinely... have NO DAMN CLUE why this isn't a normal user-accessible option. It's an option in every single other Desktop OS. It can usually be easily set without digging too deep.
Advice for services: do not change anything if you don’t know what it is.
or google it first, to find out
Both the comment and reply above is true
niw
Why would anyone set up services they don't need. Most won't even know what services are if they are not advanced users. Most won't know how to secure those services up.
in Device Manager, if you pop up to the View menu and select 'Devices by connection' it'll help with tracing which devices are which :)
you said the features are available on all previous windows, i've just had a look on my windows 3.1 and i cant find them :(
Oh no
try use ms dos!
maybe try upgrading to Windows 98
@Lucas Zhu r/whooooosh you don't get the joke man

About Group Policy editor: there was no rule restricting access to it a few years ago, so at my school my friends and I were able to open GPedit and remove all restrictions on each computer we used. That was great
Edit: A few months later we got suspensions for some of our computer exploits, and after that year the school upgraded all the computer security and I was never able to do such things again although I didn’t try very hard. We did do some similar things and got more suspensions but that was also for making a website mocking the school and a 24 hour CZcams livestream… a story for another time.
Lol
i did that with my office computer. each time they call the admin and the next time he was fired!
Ferb, I know what we're gonna today!
group policy is basically the registry editor but safer
@@439bananas not really, it’s only for editing user permissions
The main difference between a background process and a service is that the service runs in its own session, which in practice means it keeps running when you log out and starts before you have logged in. Usually they run under a system account which has full access to all files also but it can be configured. A background process on the other hand starts like your normal program and your normal user and quits when you log out. I know this because I've worked for a software company and we had to package parts of our suite as service for some of our customers for this exact reason.
Your videos are just mesmerizing to watch. Me knowing that there's more to a computer than meats the eye makes me want to come back for more.
Fun fact: On church computers God Mode is called Goodness Gracious Mode.

You pointed out how the Disk Management tool can be dangerous, but what's more dangerous is DiskPart because if you issue a clean command within DiskPart, it blows away all the partitions on the selected disk with absolutely no warning. But, you can recover your partitions with your favorite partition recovery software, as long as you haven't written anything to the disk after your "accident". It takes many, many hours, depending on the size of the disk.
Dude I've been watching your videos since you had 100k subscribers it's been amazing to watch your channel grow!

Please make a video on just God Mode. It was the only thing I didn't already know about. My god mode is an empty folder
you just popped into my recommended
last time I watched you was back in 2016, do you keep making troll tech tutorials till this date?
You had the startup folder, along the same vein, I like the SendTo folder, you can drop shortcuts in it for the right click menu.
For example, a shortcut for notepad. Then you can send any file to notepad from the right click menu without "open with" (i find this great for config files that aren't necessarily 'txt' files)
Always helpful videos, thank you.
Alright ThoingJohn how do i delete system32 and speed up my pc.
Reminds me of the old DOS days when someone would start a conversation with "Well I was cleaning up my drive and...." somehow it involved 'del *.*'

USB drive is actually "USB mass storage device"
True, composite devices are often just devices made of several devices that work independently (like webcams with integrated microphones). I guess a drive can pop up as such a device in certain cases, but even composite devices pop up as the individual subdevices in addition to being summed up as composite (settings of the composite device gives a good list usually)
They should be listed under "Disk drives". Be prepared for strange names though, not necessarily matching the brand. More interesting is "View", "Devices by connection" which lets you see the internal organisation of the PC.
I knew most of them but it helped a lot. Nice video man
Oh my GOD I love your channel idk why I just like listening to you talk about all this computer stuff despite the fact I know nothing myself lol
I accidentally joined a domain with Windows 10 pro and couldn't leave it since all of my accounts lost admin access. I used something called "mini Windows 10" to gain admin access and I was able to leave
How the hell do you accidentally join a domain? It requires you to give a domain admin before you can join.
@NewAccount 1974 That makes zero sense.
My work has made me appreciate Windows 10 more and more. Because I work as a QA tester, and sometimes if a few of my company's customers use older systems we have to test our apps for proper legacy support. Sometimes going as far back as Windows 2000, and that sure ain't fun to use nowadays.
Already knew these tbh since I'm qualified as a basic computer technician, but this was a fun video to watch...

In some of the later versions of windows, getting to computer management, device manager, disk manager, and many other features can be accessed through the start menu context menu by right clicking on the start menu. Give it a try and impress your friends.

Typing on Windows XP
@ThioJoe
if a hacker hacks my pc will he get pissed of if i turn my keyboard upside down, also will he think he is typing in Russian if i do?
8:41, you can use task scheduler to run things on start up and logon, even with a delayed task, to give more granular control over stuff, i have also had problems with programs just making themselves a trigger on logon which wasnt shown by task manager, the start up folder or anywhere in the program its self
My go-to method for opening the startup folder is to simply type "startup" in the address bar of the file explorer and hit enter. You jump right there. Another good tip is the net1 command. It functions identically to net, but was created as a failsafe back during the Y2K scare, and was just never removed from any subsequent version of Windows. In an office environment the administrator might disable the net command for standard users, but they usually forget about net1 so you can use that as a workaround.
Lastly, I would suggest that everyone know how to map network folders to a drive letter. This is particularly handy if you maintain a SharePoint site collection or something like that, you can map that server URL to a drive letter and interact with the file system directly.
sir your comment was buried here, but I have took notes of it, thanks for the info

Hi TJoe:: I have been following you since you started on CZcams years ago ( *_when was it_* ?). Yo have Definitely Improved by leaps and Bounds👍
One thing that's helped me a number of times ... Command prompt in admin mode, type "sfc /scannow" without quotes. This scans your PC and checks that windows system files are correct and fixes ones that aren't. Don't forget the space after sfc.
Another way to activate super Admin without cmd is to type “mmc” in the run box wich opens my management console. And from there navigate to local users and activate the admin from Windows. Note that you can save all the config changes to a folder so you don’t have to go and change all the settings again after rebooting.
drive manager is awesome. You can setup huge USB sticks to much smaller FAT32 ones with more partitions for exaple.
Windows have so many hidden programms which are extremly usefull.
@4:46 ,I messed up big time once with that menu. I changed it to diagonistic startup tui check, coz I thought something made my PC startup slower. But ..but .. little did knew, on lockscreen it was asking for only the password which I forgot .. since I was not using it for ages, I was using PIN .. forgot password wasn't working either lan&wifi drivers were down. It was hell of a task to come out of it and there are little to no resources available on the internet about that.
